Terrible pizza!!! our meat lovers only had a few sausage pieces and pepperoni, that was all. Will never order from here again

Our little town only has this one pizza place, so I really want to love it. I give them two stars for service because they are friendly and fast, and the pizza is ready in exactly the 20 minutes that they promise. We've ordered from them 3 times in the last month hoping for a great pie and not wanting to just jump on making our minds up from a snap judgment. Here's where it gets challenging... The menu features some high-priced specialty pies, but I always start with a cheese pizza. If the cheese pizza is no good, I can't justify spending the money on a higher priced pie. The first one we ordered was not completely done. We had to put it in the oven to finish cooking it because the slices just pulled apart as the dough was still mostly raw. The second one we ordered was weird. I know that sounds juvenile, but the dough was so chewy and spongy. It was like chewing on a yoga mat. Very strange. We were literally gnawing on it. We had a good laugh though because we looked so silly trying to chew it up long enough to swallow it. The flavor was good though. The pizza sauce had a great zip to it and the cheese was perfectly cooked. The third pizza... third time is a charm, right? Not exactly. Unfortunately. I asked for extra pizza sauce on this one because it was the highlight of the chewy pizza. As soon as we got it home, I went to grab a slice and it wasn't cut all the way through. Not a big problem. That happens. I grabbed the pizza cutter and fixed it right up. This pie was extra cheesy. I didn't order extra cheese, so this was just a bonus. It was very saucy. In fact, the heavy cheese was trying to slide off of the saucy slice. Had to use two hands to make sure I didn't lose it. Houston, we have a problem. While there was extra sauce on the pizza, the sauce was so bland that the flavor was, well, boring. Usually pizza is easy to just binge eat. This had no flavor. The sauce didn't taste like pizza sauce. It tasted like watered down tomato paste. I only ate one slice out of boredom. We're glad we didn't try any of the $26 specialty pizzas. I work the same way when I get a milkshake somewhere. I start with a vanilla shake because if that is screwed up, then the fancier shakes probably aren't any good. They do have really good breadsticks. We order them with their Alfredo sauce. The Alfredo sauce tastes really good, but it is oddly runny. Hopefully they can get on top of quality control because their lack of consistency is going to hurt their business. If another pizza place were to open in town, it wouldn't take much effort to outdo these guys. Maybe they aren't worried about consistency because they are the only show in town. Nonetheless, I can't justify ordering more pies from them when I can just get a frozen Wild Mike's pizza from the grocery store, and it would taste exactly as expected every time. **I'm not saying that frozen store pizzas are my jam. I like specialty pizzas. Local recommendations worth driving from Tenino to Olympia and Yelm for are Wicked Pies (Twin Peaks themed pizza shop) in Olympia and La Gitana (pricy but INCREDIBLE pizzas that will blow your mind) in Yelm. read more

My daughter and I were in Tenino to see the museum which was closed and it was lunch time. There are not many places to choose from and we wanted to take something back to her 15 year old in hopes that bribery would stimulate him to get finish his homework. After reading reviews, we decided to try Pizza Mia. They have pizzas and some Italian food. We ordered their Combination in XL size so we could have some for dinner too. I agree that that is a risk since we hadn't tasted their pizza yet but we took the chance. We also ordered a pepperoni to take home and they held that to bake until we were almost ready to leave. The 16" combination looked delicious and it was. Now if any of you remember me from when I first joined Yelp my wife and I owned a pizza restaurant back then so I am very picky. It is hard to get 5 stars from for a pizza restaurant, but they were worthy of it. The staff was friendly and pizza was excellent! I admit I do have two minor complaints. It would have been nice if they had a pie slice server, but the forks worked. And number 2, the plates were almost too small. If you're in Tenino be sure to stop for their pizza and if you're not into pizza they had some other menu options that looked great. read more

Super cute! Pizza Mia has a little bit of everything for an American-Italian restaurant. Including many drink options, the menu includes pizzas and pastas as well as small plates + soup and options for the kids! Would be a great stop by to get some yummy, belly filling pizza (comes in 3 sizes) or a small bite while traveling through! After a long day was really hoping for some good pizza. Thumbs down, two thumbs down actually. Pizza dough is store bought and plain, bread sticks I can only assume were days old. The blend of alfredo/marinara was so watered down it was gross. This place was just not for us. read more

It's not Italian, but it's good. The business is run by a wonderful family. They have excellent customer service. The wings are delicious.

My wife and I had diner at Pizza Mia. My wife had chicken scallopini and enjoyed it. I enjoyed lasagna. Both were large portions enough for a second meal! The restaurant was new and comfortable. The waitress/receptionist/cashier (she was all three) was excellent. read more

They charge you $ 1.75 for each topping you want then they scimp on the topping, there was not red sauce on my pizza ! The dough was raw in the middle, it was a waste of money and I wasn't going to waste my time going back there, so I just tossed it out back for the birds and raccoons at least the critters will get to eat tonight, read more

Why haven't we tried this restaurant sooner? Don't let their unassuming entrance disillusion you. We ordered the Italian Tour to go, to share between the two of us, because it includes Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan, and Pasta Alfredo. The lasagna was tender, with gooey cheese, stuffed with meat, layered with a delicious sauce, and oh so good! The chicken parm was probably the BEST I've ever had, and it's a dish I frequently order from the well known chain restaurants. It was a plump, juicy, tender breast, not appearing to have been pounded with a mallet,,as many restaurants seem to do. Gotta love that ooey gooey cheese, and their sauce, oh my!!! I'm not a big fan of Pasta Alfredo, however, Pizza Mia must have a secret way of preparing their sauce, as it was thick and hearty and delicious. Worth mentioning is their breadsticks, again not something I would normally rave about, however, the breadsticks from Pizza Mia are packed with flavor, and have a nice chew to them, making them perfect for dipping in a nice sauce. Staff were friendly and efficient. Now, if only they would add Caesar Salad to their menu, they could rate 5 stars from me. Hopefully that will eventually show up on their menu. In the meantime, I look forward to trying their amazing sounding sandwiches. Btw, we shared the Italian Tour, and there's still enough in the to go container for another meal. the cheese pizza is good but they used huge canned mushrooms all over our large pizza we specially ordered & it was like 30 bucks and they ruined it... it was soggy and gross a big waste of money and of course I didn't want to be like mean about it..
