The cutest little book store if I've ever seen one! It looks like they took an old house and renovated it into a book store where each room is a different genre of book. The front room has mostly newer books of all genres and memoirs. The back rooms are separated into children's book, young adult, magazines, etc. Although the books were a little pricey, I dont mind spending an extra few dollars to support a local business. The woman behind the cash register also told us if there is a book we want that they don't have, she could order it for us. Searching them on social media it also looks like they do talks with different authors every month. They had pig city books tshirts and ever since I left I've been upset I didnt get one because their logo is so cute. Just gives me a reason to return and book shop more!

The process was super easy. I went partly in hopes of finding a used copy of a novel my Book Club has been wanting to read, but isn't at the library. (I will definitely be bringing more books to trade-in also.) *The shopping center where this is located has a lot of other fun gems also- check out Ferrucci's!

I love physical books, but don't buy them often because I have a Kindle and because they've gotten expensive over the years. HOWEVER, give me a deal and it's on! HAHA! I had never been to this book store until the sale. It's small, but there's such a good selection of used books. The used books are also in really good shape. The team member on site the day we went was GREAT! He took the time to assist us in looking for books on our lists and giving us recommendations for other books to read. I also like the idea that you can bring the books back that you purchase, for a percentage off on your next book. Check them out, explore the selection they have, and support local!

The top floor even hosts a puzzle table and nooks to cuddle up and read. The children's section is simply magical. My kids would have stayed for hours if I let them. The pricing is also fair and the owner is a gem. She even has a little bookshop dog that greets everyone, Chestnut.

Though the shop is relatively small, it is not cramped inside and has a great selection. The majority of the store is a fiction section, arranged by author last name, which spans across most of the wall. They also have dedicated sections for several of my favorite topics, such as gender studies, nature, science, and local authors/interest. Each section is smaller than what you'd see in a big-box store, but it doesn't matter because they're perfectly curated -- I would read almost anything I've seen in this store. There is a cart of used books they've just gotten in, but most of the used books are actually shelved alongside the new books in their respective sections. I think this is an excellent use of space, and I like that I can just go look for what I want once, as opposed to searching for something in a used section and then having to search for the exact same thing in the new section if they didn't have it used. There is also a small selection of "last chance" used books at a greatly reduced price. Most, if not all, of the books I saw in this selection were only $2, and they were in great condition! The owner + staff are friendly, and I love their taste in books! If you are near Winston and like to read or know anyone who does, you HAVE to come here.

This is one of those gems of stores that are hidden in a suburb of a major city. This bookstore is small, but it has a good selection of used and new books at an affordable price. Every shelf is stocked with a huge selection of novels, games, toys (alot of learning toys great for younger childred) and board games. If you're a D&D/Pathfinder player the prices are a little high but not unreasonable for some of their books, and they do have some of the harder to find items (clear dice for those of you who like your rolls fair). There are better coffee shops out there than the one inside, but I like the charm of the little place. They're reasonable in price and the coffee and tea is really good. The fact is, while Barns and Noble has no presence in Gastonia, Books-A-Million is here, and often busy. In a time when bookstores are shutting down this is one store I don't see going anywhere.
