I wish this place were open on Sundays! I host a monthly book club and this would absolutely be my top pick for the venue but unfortunately they are closed that day. Other than that, I love this spot! Cozy, inviting, lots of reading nooks and group seating available for book clubs, discussions, etc. They have a good variety of books and even better that they offer coffee, beer, wine and pastries - come for $5 wine Wednesday and live music! Owners are very friendly and in addition to books, they have other fun merch - mugs, stationery, etc. Great addition to Reynolda Village. @azfitfoodfun

Very cute modern shop, with a nice selection of books and gifts. They have a nice little coffee shop inside. I would definitely visit again.

This is a hidden gem in WS! There was a great selection of books and novelty items. Inside was well organized and had themed areas. There was also the opportunity to get coffee, which would be great to sit down and read with. The service was great and helped us find what we needed. And the prices are around what you would get at a big box store. Great place!

The perfect spot for a little browse if you're in Reynolda. The place seems small but they have such a great selection. I grabbed me some children's books while I was in.

Lovely place to come and peruse the book selections. Comfortable couches and even a small wine and coffee bar. I can't wait to come back..order a cold Chardonnay and enjoy a good murder mystery! I love that this is here in Reynolda village.

What a cute bookstore and they have coffee to purchase. It's super chill and fun to hang out and read and catch up on emails. Wi-Fi is free! I like my pumpkin latte too!!

Such a great place and cool idea....bookstore, coffee, wine and sweet treats in one place. Every girls dream place. Like the owner said to me I could stay here all day! Loved all the variety of books they have. Something for everyone. All your great coffee drinks. A few baked goods. Wine by the glass. Merchandise for retail, loved all the cook wine glasses. I had a really good cappuccino and just had it there at the coffee bar. They have lots of seating areas, so you can actually stay there all day! Some outside seating too. Love how the owner made her dream a reality. Always a good reason to support a business. Plus it's just a neat place. If your in Reynolda village make sure you stop by.

Train table and children's book section

I love coming here with my toddler to play with the train table and exploring the wonderful children's book section. We first came here when they were having a free book read for children. Everyone who works here is sweet and they really want it to be a community space in addition to the bookstore aspect. They also have beverages you can order. I plan to keep coming back here as we have a positive experience every time.

Reading by Genre is your only clue.

Book Ferret is one of my absolute favorite bookstores, and I always make a point to stop in when…read moreI'm in the area! Though the shop is relatively small, it is not cramped inside and has a great selection. The majority of the store is a fiction section, arranged by author last name, which spans across most of the wall. They also have dedicated sections for several of my favorite topics, such as gender studies, nature, science, and local authors/interest. Each section is smaller than what you'd see in a big-box store, but it doesn't matter because they're perfectly curated -- I would read almost anything I've seen in this store. There is a cart of used books they've just gotten in, but most of the used books are actually shelved alongside the new books in their respective sections. I think this is an excellent use of space, and I like that I can just go look for what I want once, as opposed to searching for something in a used section and then having to search for the exact same thing in the new section if they didn't have it used. There is also a small selection of "last chance" used books at a greatly reduced price. Most, if not all, of the books I saw in this selection were only $2, and they were in great condition! The owner + staff are friendly, and I love their taste in books! If you are near Winston and like to read or know anyone who does, you HAVE to come here.

We bought several different books. Some we had not seen before. The staff member was very nice and helpful. We will definitely go back to get more books.

I enjoy visiting this jam-packed store and perusing the assortment of books, magazines, stationery,…read moreplanners, calendars, cards, toys and gifts. Having a Starbucks on premises is a nice touch. As other Yelpers have noted, unfortunately this location has felt it necessary to add numerical code locks to the restrooms. I understand the reasoning behind it, but the logistics of needing to use the restroom at the back of the store then needing to traverse to the front of the store to get the code, and back again, is asking a lot and will cause my visits to be cut short.

I have always enjoyed a nice leisurely stroll around Barnes & Noble, hunting for interesting books…read more I am a voracious reader. I have been a member for years now. The discount and earned rewards are worth the cost of membership. I could spend all day there, perusing the various things that interest me. I am not happy with their change to adding a code to get into the bathroom. I realize they had issues with homeless people misusing the bathroom, but as a rectal cancer survivor, I don't have the time to hunt for an employee to get the code. I was literally seconds away from a bowel accident today, then had to turn around and find an employee. I was lucky, there was a guy shelving books close to the bathrooms. What if he hadn't been there, though? If I had to walk to the customer service desk or the register to get the code, I would have definitely had an accident. My suggestion to anybody that has bathroom issues, or small children, ask for the code as soon as you walk in the door. That way, you don't have to hunt for an employee and risk accidents. That is what I will be doing from now on.

I was a longtime customer of textbook brokers. I have spent a couple thousand dollars with this…read morebusiness between buying and renting books. This past semester I rented one book from textbook brokers. The rental was about $70 on a $120 book. After using this company since 2013 I had become accustomed to them sending me a text a couple days before my book(s) were due. This Summer semester no such text arrived, nor did a phone call, nor did an email. I was alerted by my Discover card that I had been charged over $120 by textbook brokers. I got in contact with the Winston location and was told there was no way for me to receive a refund even when I was willing to use my lunchbreak at work that same day to bring the book back. It is saddening that a company treats a longtime customer in a way to pocket a relateively small amount of money compared to the thousands I've spent with them. I was referred to the regional manager, Brian, who was at the Jamestown location. I called and left a message for Brian and was told he would return my call in a few minutes. Four hours later I call back and speak a representative who tells me Brian is available. I then got hung up on, called back twice, and finally got ahold of Brian. He was rude and confrontational. Frequently cutting me off while speaking, he stated that the text message that they have sent me a dozen times in the last five years likely was blocked by my carrier, even though I've had the same carrier during the duration of me doing business with textbook brokers. He then hit me with the fine print of "It is on your receipt", "It was on your book", etc... I understand all that, given my book was binder pages and the plastic which had the due date was long gone. This comes down to a lack of respect for the customer. After using this company for years and spending a considerable amount of money textbook brokers is willing to lose my business over a book that I was willing to give back immediately once the confusion was addressed. If that isn't an embarrassing excuse for a customer service experience I do not know what is.
