Living directly between 2 Targets, this is for sure our go to location. Down behind the now defunct Oak Hollow Mall, I think a lot of the world forgets this one is there, so it's usually never too crowded, easy to get in and out of and carries the same selection of anything you'd get at any other Target. The staff is friendly and always able to help, they even have a full pharmacy (cvs) on site and a Starbucks. The pricing is the same as any other in the area, and great for everything on your list from clothing to home goods, to groceries or electronics. I don't typically review department stores but this one is a find. Now we all know Target and how great it is to go in for sodas and come out with $150 in towels and stuff.... This specific target was a treat. I've been here 20+ years ago but just moved back to the area to find it's still here. One of the cleanest, well stocked, friendliest Targets I've ever been in. I had 3 different employees greet me throughout the store. Just smiling and saying hi, and asking if I'm finding everything.... Wow. Not your typical experience in these stores. I visited here around 9am on a Monday morning to see if they had a certain type of picture frame that I saw at a different target. The store was super clean and quiet! There weren't many customers either. While browsing, I saw scales and I needed a new one, so I got one. I had a hard time finding the frames haha. A staff saw me looking and asked if I needed help. I was in the wrong area and they directed me to the right space. It was on aisle B18. I found what I was looking for, which was an awesome. I utilized self checkout. It was quick an easy. There was a staff member who asked if u needed a larger bag, but I was able to make it fit. No complaints! read more

I Have lost count of how many times I gather clothes to try on to find out the dressing rooms are closed. Roped off, lights off, barricaded doors, in the afternoon. Not early morning or closing time but the middle of a business day. Waste of my time. I know what I did the last time wasn't nice - or the thing to do but I was fed up. This Target store in High Point is my hometown Target. It's the only Target in High Point and, if my memory serves me right, it opened sometime in the 90s. This was back when Oak Hollow Mall was still open and there was a Circuit City next door (the old Circuit City building is now home to High Point University's Department of Physician Assistant Studies and the Human Biomechanics and Physiology Laboratory). How fitting that on my last visit to this Target, I saw my very first Super NES Classic Edition in the wild (at MSRP). The original Super NES was a big part of my life growing up in High Point. I've since moved to Atlanta and for a solid year (since the Super NES Classic Edition's launch on September 29, 2017), I never saw a Super NES Classic Edition in the wild (at MSRP) at any retailer in metro Atlanta. I know these things are getting easier to find now, but it was still a pleasant surprise to stumble upon one while shopping at this Target with my family and fiancee. There was only one in stock and I purchased it for $79.99 plus tax. This was actually my second Super NES Classic Edition. I got my first one on launch day from an Amazon Treasure Truck in Atlanta (https://www.yelp.com/biz/amazon-treasure-truck-atlanta). I decided to keep one in the box as a collectible and one to open and play. My five-year-old niece found Super Mario Kart (the original) to be very difficult. Haha. Other things I was surprised to see this Target have in stock were multiple copies (4) of Final Fantasy Ultimania Archive Volume 1 for $27.99 plus 30% off. Nice. Understandably, this Target is less crowded, quieter, and cleaner than the Target stores I go to in Atlanta. Like other Target stores, there's a Starbucks inside this store (we stopped and took a coffee, juice, and snack break). And like other retailers in High Point, this store has High Point University gear for purchase. HPU has really taken over this city. Great service. Friendly employees. Recommended. read more

Very disappointed! I placed a pick up order last Saturday for a Wedding Registry item. Unfortunately, I became sick & was unable to pick it up (I forgot to call them & let them know however, I don't think it would have made a difference). When I went to reorder the same item today, it was $27 more expensive! I called the store to see if they would honor the price. I spoke with two ladies, one presumably a manager but my request was denied. I was told there is "no way we can do that" and "the system won't let us do that". Now, I've worked in retail, granted it was years ago but, if a company wants to keep happy customers, I know anything is possible. I've never been a fan/customer of Target and they certainly aren't doing anything to win me over. I'll continue to shop elsewhere! I'm sure they'll never miss me but, be more customer friendly & understanding, Target! read more

This is the mall that everyone used to go to before the mall they used to go to...mostly occupied by High Point University extensions. It's also one of the smallest Target's I've been to in 20 years. The staff is excellent, friendly and helpful. It's the store itself-tiny selection-cramped aisles-and it really makes you appreciate other Target locations. I like that this one had a selection of goods and wasn't a new wannabe lifestyle creation like many of the ones in NYC are or became (limited items and whatever they do have is very overpriced; you'd think nobody actually does any home cooking in NYC). I've been here a few times when visiting family in NC. This may be their preferred Target but I'm not sure. We just had a great experience. We came here to get the original game of life and Justin helped us with it since we couldn't find any in the store. He said there were 6 of them here so he was going to check the back for us. A few minutes later he came up empty handed saying it wasn't back there. So we just said it's all good, we'll go without it. As we were walking back to our vehicle, Justin came running outside yelling that he found it on the truck that had just arrived! Thank you Justin, you saved our game night! This man deserves a raise for all the dedication, he could've just said "oh well they're gone now" but he didn't. I was looking for a new, impossible to find toy for my grand children for Christmas. It's an unusual item that no one seems to have heard of. All that being said, after my searches online i still came up empty handed. The item Orb Odditeez Boingzz was out of stock everywhere i searched! So I reluctantly made that desperate call to my local High Point target. I spoke to Mya in clothing. She searched her computer finding nothing until she tried the item number from the sale paper. She said we have one in stock I'll go check and make sure we have it. Finally she found it, not one but four of them in stock! I went and bought two of them immediately! I have always loved this target and never have had a complaint! Thanks to Mya I had another awesome experience today and was able to use my preferred customer coupon to earn a free $10 gift card! Like everyone else, I'd rather walk into any target store than mess with a Walmart. However I avoid this target location like the plague. Here's why: I wanted to purchase a specific white faux fur throw and needed it quickly. Target had it available at this location and i had the option to pay for it online and pick it up in store. So I get a email saying my order is ready, when I arrive at the store I approach the customer service desk and a man or woman named Kelly helped me. I tell him/her I have an order to pick up under the name Oana and showed him/her my email. He/she told me that order doesn't exist and that maybe I need to come back the next day because sometimes the orders take a while to get filled. Right beside him/her is this rack with random items and tags on them, one of them being a white faux fur throw. I politely asked if I could see that item, and it in fact had the name Oana on it, but Kelly insisted my email didn't match so I had to come back. I was baffled, the worker next to Kelly agreed "there's been weird things going on so you need to come back". There sure was weird things going on, lol I couldn't believe it, how many people with the name Oana do you know? In High Point, and that would happen to order the same white faux fur throw. Me and my husband said fine, we decided to walk into the store to look around, cause you can't come to target and not spend $50. We kill some time and as we're getting ready to leave I noticed different people at the customer service desk, so I figured I'd ask them while Kelly was gone. The woman that helped me also happened to be the manager, and she knew exactly what was going on, the systems were down and they couldn't cross reference anything. But I obviously had an online order from my email, the names matched, my item that I paid for matches what they pulled and she had no problem giving me my order. I didn't have a problem with their system messing up, I understand, things happen. But Kelly needed to have handled it differently rather than telling people "just come back later". This was one of those experiences that will keep me from coming back. read more

This Target store has the habit of advertising items at sale prices, only to discover that they have NO product. Three times in a six week stretch I journeyed to this store to be turned away. Also, Target doesn't offer rain checks for sold out sale items. A customer service representative for their company told me on the telephone this afternoon that "Just because we advertise a certain product for a certain price is no guarantee you can get it for that price." Then their ads would be false and viewed as bait and switch. Also, Target only offers rain checks in a handful of northern states that the law REQUIRES them to. So see ya, Targhey. This is just a "mini review" because I haven't been here so many times. What I can review is the clothing section because I've bought quite a few items of clothes at this Target. Cheap prices! Considering that clothes cost more and more these days, these prices are higher than what they used to be, but not like buying expensive clothes from a catalog! You can get some good stuff here, especially socks. I love buying socks here, and have done it three times. They have tons of styles and colors of socks, which is fun because until 2011 I only wore white socks. Then I found some other styles with stripes or different bars of color and it really brightened up my sock drawer. (FYI they have dress socks or really sporty socks too, depending on what you need). I know that people don't really see your socks, but you know what is inside your shoes and it can give you a boost! So enough about socks, they also have everything else you need and maybe next time I get back into Target I will try out their DVD section! I'd like to see if they have older DVDs like Braveheart or good shows on DVD like Bones. But I really don't know what they have! The people that work there are really nice, and have sharp looking uniforms where it's red shirts and khaki pants all around. Cool walkie talkies too, and they actually use them. They call each other "team members" and they are really a team! There is not a single bit of trash on the floor, although there were a few bits of trash in the parking lot but they can't help that. People always throw trash out of their cars because they are LITTER BUGS. That makes me mad, but you can't avoid it, and if you like good deals you can't avoid Target! read more
