I was excited to visit the Tampa Olivia restaurant for brunch as I enjoy the St. Pete location. The dining room is bright and beautiful. My party was celebrating two friend's birthday and was immediately seated at our reservation time. Kate our server was super helpful and friendly. I initially ordered the prime burger and asked for it to be well done. Once I received my plate, I was ready to dig in and decided to cut the burger in half as it was so big. Good thing I did because the burger was totally rare on the inside. In the meantime, I decided to eat my side of couscous and discovered there was hair in couscous. I informed the server and she took the dish to the back. The manager did come to the table and was apologetic about the undercooked burger. I decided to order the chicken and doughaffle, instead of another burger, which was cooked to perfection. I would come back for that dish alone.
Went to Olivia after reading about it for a while and it did not disappoint. Beautiful setting although much louder than expected. Our server was excellent and advised us of her recommendations, which were spot on. We started with the garlic bread, which was unique and delicious, probably the best we've ever had. We also tried the brussel sprouts and again some of the best we've ever tried. My wife loved the arancini as well. But the star of the night was the viral chicken parmigiana, which was massive and delicious. I added a side of cacio and pepe pasta to finish off the dish. The attention from management was also top notch as they knew we were celebrating our anniversary so they brought a glass of champagne for my wife and non-alcoholic drink for me (I was driving) I even received an email from the general manager the next morning. Overall a 5 star experience and we will definitely be back.
Wow. I don't even have words for how much I loved Olivia. This has to be some of the best Italian food I have ever had. We ordered the garlic bread, mini rigatoni, and table side chicken parm. There was not a single bad bite! Olivia is on the corner of W Swann and Henderson. The restaurant is visually stunning and everyone was super nice. They offer valet and self parking options. We also got the spritz and Sicilian lemonade to drink. I cannot wait to come back and try more!!
This was my first time visiting Olivia in St. Pete - we were seeing a show at American Stage early afternoon and had wanted to go. I had visited the one in Tampa, which I enjoyed. The food was very good, but the service was a bit slow. I would leave more time in the future if I was going to see a show as it became a more leisurely breakfast/brunch experience than we had hoped for. I would definitely go back though - the food was high-quality and tasted good! I would also want to go back for dinner. The atmosphere is bright and trendy -- a really good spot for a Sunday morning brunch. We enjoyed the wild mushroom crostino with poached eggs, the avocado crostino also with poached eggs and the goat cheese sformato (which is actually an appetizer but plenty for breakfast/brunch if you wanted something delicious but not too heavy). Our friends ordered some cocktails as well as they were equally as delicious! Yum!
I like that it's a stand alone restaurant and very elegant. We went for Mother's Day and most tables had vases of pretty fresh flower arrangements. So many yummy things on the menu. My daughter had us split a croissant with fresh strawberry jam as an appetizer. For our meal I chose the waffle with ricotta and strawberries and my daughter had the frittata. Our server told me that their waffle maker was putting charred material on the waffle so if I wanted I could switch to bombini's with the same topping. 5 minutes later he said there was still one good waffle available. I took that waffle. Unfortunately there still was a tiny bit of charred specs on my waffle. The wait service is spectacular!
Olivia's is one of my favorite places to celebrate my birthday--this was my third year in a row, and I still absolutely love it! The restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere, and the wait staff is always great. Our waitress this year was amazing--attentive, friendly, and made the experience even more enjoyable. We ordered four appetizers, and everything was delicious. My all-time favorite is the burrata, but the Parmesan bread is a very close second--so good! Their pizzas are always good , I myself went with the filet mignon, and it was perfectly cooked. The only thing that would make this place 100% perfect is the noise level. It was quite loud--we had a hard time hearing each other, and even our waitress struggled to hear us at times. Overall, still one of my favorite spots, especially for special occasions!
We LOVE Olivia. Every time we go, it's always for a celebration of something and they never fail to make it a memorable experience. This time, for my husbands birthday we started with the meatballs which are perfect to share. I got an espresso martini and he got a nice glass of fine wine! For our entrees, I got the carbonara which was super creamy and had topped with a decent size helping of crispy pancetta. My husband got the tableside chicken parm and OH. MY. GOD. this might have been the best thing I've had in a long time. The chicken was crispy and the presentation of the "Parmesan" sauce was delicious. Safe to say this will definitely be around for a while. Olivia - hats off to you , again and again you continue to deliver a great experience and even better food!
This was my first visit here. My friend and I planned a Tampa day and she saw this place on social media so we added it to our itinerary. We were running a bit late so we called the restaurant to let them know and they were very understanding. When we arrived, it was raining, so I am happy they had complimentary valet. We were seated shortly after we walked in. We got the sparkling water, I ordered the special cocktail which was a fun version of a mojito and my friend got a glass of wine. We ordered the roasted oysters and our waiter recommended we get the garlic bread as well. I am so glad we did. It was the best garlic bread I have ever had. I enjoyed the oysters as well. For my entree, I got the scallops and my friend got the table side chicken parm. The scallops were huge! They were served over lemon herb risotto with crispy prosciutto. The lemon really helped cut the richness of it. I am so happy with what I ordered. The chicken parm was also very good! Definitely coming back here on my next Tampa visit.
Visited Olivia in Tampa for a special occasion. Major letdown. I responded to the manager's email a couple of months ago to share our disappointing experience, but we never received a reply. The place looks nice. We arrived for our reservation at 8:45 pm, hoping to avoid some of the crowd. Nope! It was very loud and busy! Inside also looks nice, just very noisy. Unfortunately, the food was all disappointing. The service started well but declined to the point of being ignored by the end (my fiancé and I both spent several years as servers, so we are empathetic, pleasant, and patient). We really had high hopes after reading the reviews. But after talking with several other couples since then, they all said the same thing: the Tampa location isn't good, but the St. Pete location is great. We started with the Coccoli Fritto, which was nothing special, so we wouldn't recommend it. We also ordered the Wagyu Carpaccio, which was okay. The Wagyu was good, but there was just so little of it. I forget what it was served over, which might indicate it was underwhelming. For entrées to pair with the Pinot Noir, we had the squid-ink pasta and the Agnolotti. My fiancée didn't care for the pasta, but I thought it was okay. It's definitely al dente if you want it otherwise. The portion was on the smaller side, and on a scale of 1-10, I'd give it a 6. Nothing to write home about. She got the Agnolotti and said it was good. I did not care for it at all. I bought $100 in holiday gift certificates to get a $20 bonus gift certificate. I spoke to the manager at length around 4 pm to make sure I could use all $120 in GCs that night. When I tried to pay, they wouldn't accept the $20 gift certificate. I informed the server of the manager I spoke with earlier, and all the details. He took it to a different manager who never visited us, didn't care about the earlier confirmation, and denied us its use. I don't want it to go to waste, so I guess we'll try the St. Pete location next time we're in that area. Fingers crossed! We recommend going elsewhere and are putting far less faith into the whole Michelin Star system (not our only Michelin disappointment recently).
We had a table for 8 for brunch a few Sundays ago and this was a meal of gluttonous proportions. I believe we ordered all the apps. Literally all of them. We got the Waffle Bombolini that came with a chocolate and caramel spread. These were more like cake donuts that looked like waffles and probably should have been our dessert. Very tasty. The meatballs were solid, the truffle fries were perfectly crisp pillows of heaven, and then there was the garlic bread. I could write a 1000-word essay on this garlic bread. This was by far the best garlic bread I have ever eaten. The bread was crisp on the outside, slightly doughy in the middle with slivers of fresh garlic and tons of butter. Phenomenal. After chowing on all of this for a while we ordered entrees. 3 of us just decided to split 2 pizzas: The Soppressata and the Honey and ham. The honey and ham was by far the better of the 2 with that salty/sweet combo. The Soppressata was pretty good but I didn't like the chili powder flavor on a pizza. It wasn't awful but not to my taste. The service was perfect; the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice.
Still a solid five star experience. I love the food here. This was our first time going for brunch and it didn't disappoint. We were celebrating our 11 year wedding anniversary. Sometimes I add that to a reservation and it disappears into a black hole, but not here. There was a card on the table, the waiter wished us a happy anniversary and we got complimentary prosecco. They really know how to make you feel celebrated. My husband got an old fashioned which he really liked. I got a passion fruit mocktail, which was more tart than I was expecting and it was carbonated which it didn't say on the menu. I'd skip it next time. That was the only part of the meal I didn't enjoy. The rest was superb. I got the chef's omelet without the pancetta. It comes with an arugula side salad. The green sauce on the omelet was delicious. It was nice and fluffy. My husband got the chicken Parmesan sandwich without the cheese. It also came with a green sauce that was delicious. He subbed out the side with a salad. It was lightly fried and we both loved it. The only downside to the location is the parking lot is small. However they have complimentary valet if you can't find a spot in their lot. The decor is beautiful. I love all the natural light that comes in. Our server was super friendly. Overall, I really enjoy this place and will be back.
My all time favorite restaurant in tampa! Always my go to brunch spot with the girls and always getting my sweet treat which is the tiramisu I love all the food in the menu, literally hands down one of the best food spot in Tampa, the service is amazing, really good wine menu and overall the service is amazing!
Saturday night, busy place on the corner of Swann-Henderson-Himes. Art deco meets mid century modern meets industrial decor, right up my alley! Note: everyone but US got free limoncello to end their meal... I hope you get limoncello Anyway, enjoyed a cocktail at the bar, then oysters slapped with garlic crumbs, sopressata butter, lemon and garlic- so good- we will add these to our 12/24 7-fish celebration! NeXT agnolotti- this was perfect al dente pasta with short ribs. We also had kale salad, salami, cheese cube, pepperocini, olives - just a touch more red wine vinaigrette paired with a white Italian wine. Finished with a sample of amaro (gross) and 2 ports - the flourless choc cake was a high mark with caramel corn, and the underwhelming olive oil cake. First time at this restaurant, and even though I had a seat that didn't face the restaurant, which was disappointing, my friends said it was really nice. Our server was friendly and took our drink order quickly. There are many specialty drinks, and I can't remember what I got, but my picture is in the review. It was good, but a bit on the sweet side. I am a huge red sauce pasta fan, and there weren't many options on the menu to fill that need, so I settled on the mini rigatoni. Although they had many appetizers and salads, which looked great, it's always too much for me, so I just settled on my entree. We ordered a second round of drinks while waiting for our food, but they weren't brought to us until at least halfway through our meal, at which point none of us really wanted them, but felt obligated. The mini rigatoni was good, not outstanding. The garlic bread was very good. Service started falling short when a large table next to us arrived. read more
Olivia's was an amazing experience from the beginning to the end. I called last minute to bring my family which was a party of 11, they were able to get us in despite being busy. Our server, Danny, made the whole experience a memorable one. Our children have major food allergies and between Danny and the kitchen, they made sure everything was perfect. My husband has a gluten sensitivity and they are really accommodating. They have a separate menu for those who have a gluten sensitivity. Now to the food.....everything we ordered was amazing! If you are looking for a great pizza, you must order a pizza. We ordered different pasta dishes and each one was wonderful. If you are looking for a great dessert try the olive oil cake! read more

Celebrated my friends birthday dinner here, and we really had a great time. She made a reservation, and as soon as we got in the hostesses, acknowledge our party and begin setting up. We ordered a few drinks and appetizers. The olive and cheese were delicious. Would recommend the oysters. I didn't get a picture of the squid ink pasta, but it was OK. It tasted better the next day. Overall, everything was good, and I'd definitely come back to explore other menu items. Just a side note. Parking is hit or miss. They do have valet, but I hate letting people drive my car. read more

The food here is literally my happy place. MY HAPPY PLACE. 3 Words - SQUID INK CASARECCE! Now pretty much every Italian spot has their own rendition but I've had it here twice and it hits EVERY NOTE, CHECKS EVERYBOX. It's such a dimensional dish from the spice to the bread crumbs to the lemon - saltiness of the sorpressata and thick lucious chunks of shrimp. If I lived in Tampa I'd be here once a month for this. Service is always superb and I'm absolutely enamored with the interior design of the place. I was taking notes for my house. Everything is freshly prepared - the crunch on the croissant with the vanilla butter is *chefs kiss*. I recommend the coccoli grotto as the appetizer as it's shareable, light, flavorful and so good it'll set the tone for your meal. read more
My second time here - the squid ink pasta was still delicious but not as mind blowing as the first time 4-5 years ago. I loved the two appetizers - photos attached - we opted for - very yummy, especially the bread one! Upscale chic is the ambiance and good for dates or for a fun girls night. We had the absolute pleasure of dining at Olivia for the first time, and our experience was made unforgettable thanks to our incredible server, Zachary! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel welcome and completely taken care of. His entree suggestions were absolutely on point. Every dish he recommended was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Today's chef omelette included pulled pork, mushrooms & feta. Not only was he knowledgeable and attentive, but we also discovered he had lived in San Antonio, Texas for a bit, such a fun connection that made our Brunch even more special. Zachary's energy, professionalism, and attention to detail truly elevated our entire dining experience. Olivia is lucky to have him, and we'll definitely be back on our next Florida visit, not just for the amazing food, but in hopes of sitting in his section again! read more

Showed up, and got seated fairly quickly. My big warning, the plates seem small in portions, but fill you up ten-fold. I got the Agnolotti, this pasta was perfect for almost anyone. Smooth sauce, and tender juicy meat. The atmosphere is not too loud, but is a great place for chitchat. Would come here again. read more

This restaurant hits all the marks. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. The menu isn't super big however it has alittle something for everyone. I highly recommend getting the tower. It has assortment of nuts, cheese, and needs. It was filling and delicious. They have a large wine selection for the wine enthusiasts. All the drinks I had were amazing. I recommend the passion fruit margarita! If you're in the area and in the mood for some delicious Italian food I highly suggest stopping by. It's typically busy for dinner, a reservation is necessary. read more

Let's talk about food first, appetizers were delicious! There were 4 of us and we shared multiple plates. The arancini were some of the best I've ever had. The starters in general were very tasty. Main courses, I had the tortiglioni and the sauce was very good, just the right amount of spicy. We also had the agnolotti and that was pretty good. My friend enjoyed it more when she used the sauce from my tortiglioni. Definitely try the apple butter cake! Incredible! Now as for service, the restaurant was a little busy so unfortunately our waiter couldn't be completely attentive but the staff was very kind. The restaurant is gorgeous and has ambient lighting but it got a little loud inside so it's a little hard to hear those at your table. Overall it was a nice time. read more

We always bring family and friends here to visit. It's the best place to share appetizers too. I love the truffle fries, and the Brussel sprouts are a fav for sure. I was nervous about the espresso martini bc it had chocolate in it, but it was actually DELICIOUS and not rich or chocolatey at all. Which is a flavor I don't like. I've been here like 4 times since I moved here in October. Definitely a crowd favorite. Will ALWAYS be back. See you next week ;) read more

Great experience at Olivia. Our server Sean (or Shawn-not sure the spelling) was amazing. So friendly and personable, didn't interrupt the table often, provided great recommendations and as just all around great. The food was delicious! The apps and drinks were killer! I tried the squid ink pasta and it wasn't quite what I was expecting, a tad flavorless. But I will definitely come back to try out something else on the menu. And definitely to have the burrata and charcuterie board again! read more

We made our brunch reservations a month ago, but I think I was just making sure that we had a table. They have Valet parking because the lot is tiny, that's the only negative thing that I could find. The Valet, Seating, and Wait staff were VERY caring kind and understanding. Anyhow, we were seated right away. The background noise is loud. Everyone talking, but not so loud that you can't have a conversation. Our waiter was prompt and discussed drinks and food options. We took a moment looked over the menu while he filled our glasses with water. We ordered specialty drinks and a few appetizers. It was busy, as most places are when the food and drinks are THAT GOOD! So, we waited a bit on a few things, but I was there for the food and the experience with my gf. I wasn't there to rush in/out. Atmosphere - Excellent. In fact, this might be the strength of the restaurant. The restaurant has a sleek, modern feel, yet is comfortable. There are roughly 20 four tops that are comfortably spaced with extremely comfortable chairs. Service - A little disappointing. Initially our server was on top of things. However, as time progressed, so did the timely service. The bar was especially slow. Food - Good, but falling short of expectations. Given the many positive reviews regarding the food and the excellent atmosphere, perhaps I expected something over and above average. I had the special of the evening, which was chicken parmigiana, with a side of buttered noodles. The dish was served warm, but not hot. The the sauce was sparse and the chicken was a little dry, but tasty. Overall Value - Good. The prices are reasonable and the portion fairly generous. I am guessing that I simply hit the chef and staff on an off night. read more

This place is hopping! We walked in for an 8:30pm reservation and the place was packed with people waiting outside. We were promptly seated however in about 10 minutes. We were celebrating a special occasion and brought our own cake. The restaurant informed me that they charge $2.50 PP for the cake service. The decor is modern chic and everyone is fairly dressy here so you might want to put a little effort when going there for dinner. Our server was very friendly and gave us all the recommendations. We ordered the garlic cheesy bread and the Grape Bruschetta for an appetizer. They were both delicious but let me tell you that Bruschetta was out of this world. It is just the perfect pop of sweet and cheese it is just divine. For drinks we ordered the Sicilian Lemonade and the Apulia. Both were really good and strong cocktails. Moving on to the main entree we ordered the Halibut, mini rigatoni, and the tortiglioni with a spicy vodka sauce. Everything was delicious. The fish was perfectly cooked and paired with gnocchi and a creamy lemon sauce. The spicy vodka sauce is not that spicy at all. Just a tiny kick which is just right. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will definitely be coming back! read more

I came to OLIVIA to celebrate my best friend's birthday . We dropped off the car with valet, walked in and we're told our reservation just needed an extra few mins. No problem, we decided to check out the menu. My eyes went straight for the tower of garlic bread I saw a table order, so that was a must. And honestly, ended up being my favorite part of the night. So much so, I ordered more to-go. My best friend ordered the bolognese and I ordered the squid ink pasta. I tried my friend's dish and while it was good, I was happier with my choice of the squid ink. Nothing was left on my plate after I finished. It was that good. The ambiance was social and loud. Not entirely what I expected but I guess Instagram girls come with every nice dinner nowadays. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back to try brunch and the pizza. read more
The food here was SO good, if I could have licked the plate clean I would have! I ordered the Heirloom and Mozzarella Salad and Mini Rigatoni and they were both fantastic!! I highly recommend adding meatballs to the rigatoni. Their drinks were also amazing, which is always a good indication that you are at a great establishment. I ordered the Sicilian Lemonade and my husband ordered the Sequoia. Both were very refreshing! The restaurant itself has a very upscale, posh vibe. Their website said there is no dress code (which I thoroughly appreciate), but I would dress to impress. My family and I came straight from a sporting event and felt a little underdressed, not that anyone made us feel that way. The hostess and our server were super friendly and helpful. It is about 4.5 stars. For most of the Italian high end restaurants, I like this one. One thing they really lack off is their parking is really small. Basically you have to valet. When you try to leave after meal, it is a line to pick up your car. Now what I like about it. It has good taste. We have the shrimp and scallops. The shrimp and scallop are blackened. Love the blackened spice. This dish come with sweet corn risotto. Nice touch with with sprinkles Brussels leaves and prosciutto. Shrimps and scallops was well cook and well seared. Our second dish is the squid ink casarecce. The name is complicated to understand but I understand squid ink pasta. It has shrimp lobster on it. One thing for sure is not to let your customers go hungry when they walk out the restaurant. The food quantity need improved. read more

I've been to Olivia like 40 times and it remains my favorite Tampa restaurant! If you haven't been there, yet, why not? Trust me... You will not be disappointed. The service is always top notch... Yesterday, David was our server and he was amazing and fun and funny. He delivered great suggestions as well. Looking around at the decor, always pleases me... It's set up so well and every seat in the house is a good seat. My sister and I split the Zucchini Frittata. I've had this before and it is high on my list. It is full of flavor yet not overpowering. You can taste every fresh ingredient. We also split the Avocado Salmon Crostino. It is an explosion of flavors in every bite! I could go back today and order it again... but this time I don't want to split it. I want it all to myself! Can't wait to go back! read more

I've tried them for brunch and dinner now so I can officially say I love Olivia. I have enjoyed everything I've tried. On my recent visit for dinner, I had the short rib agnolotti. It was stuffed with a good amount of tender short rib and the pasta was cooked perfectly. They have the best cannoli ever. The salted caramel mascarpone was not too salty or too sweet. The cannoli shell was perfectly crisp. I also really appreciate that they have a few nonalcoholic cocktails and the service is friendly & accommodating. read more

My last experience was for a ladies night and Chris, our server was phenomenal. He was able to thoroughly answer all questions, was extremely attentive and funny! Yes but they will add gratuity for parties over a certain number of people.

There is not a dress code necessarily. People tend to dress nicely... I have seen people wear jeans with nice tops, cute dresses, sometimes a little fancier outfits maybe, and even nice shorts outfits.

No, but they do have some pizzas to choose from, & a Mac n cheese.

Yes, it's very reasonably priced. The most expensive item is only $30. Most items are $15-$20, and it's absolutely fantastic!!

The restaurant is a perfect backdrop for dressing up, without the pretentious vibes.
