    Their sign

The store cashier is extremely rude. We brought something 3 days ago, no sign of final sale, no conversation and happily took my money, only reason I got a receipt was due to the fact that I paid with my card, the receipt state we could exchange with in 7 days. We went to exchange today and they refused. Below is their in store sign policy stating that an exchange can be made with the package and receipt. The items were still in the package unused and the receipt was presented. They refused the exchange stating it's a holiday final sale- again no sign referencing this ask well nothing on the receipt stating this, just explaining the possibility of exchange within 7days of purchase. Didn't even bother to exam the item to proof that it was unused, not damaged and still in good condition. Again the package was untouched. She walked away yelling because she didn't want to spend the time to do an exchange, don't know if it because she can't do it or simple because she was lazy. Also since it was an exchange the money would still have been the same. Also while in there someone was purchasing something, the customer asked for their receipt and she refused to provide a receipt so they can deny any future exchange. This lady was rude to not just my mother, me but to even customers in there making purchases as if we are inconveniencing her just by existing and needing to buy things. Only reason they get one star is because Yelp wouldn't let me posted with zero. The worst customer service provided. Either the owner need to train this person on customer relation or if she can't be around people then find a position that she doesn't have to deal with people. Also could probably guess once they see this review a "final Sale" sign will magically appear around their store and a picture will appear on my comments to proof they were on in the right.

I used to frequent this shop when I was a teenager living in the neighborhood. I decided to return…read morehere because I couldn't find a Hardware Store or a store that made keys locally. I decided to come straight to Big Apple Hardware Store after work on a Wednesday afternoon due to the hours stating that they were open until 7pm. I got off at 4pm and decided to take the 25 min trip to the store via bus and walked about 10 mins to get to the location. Upon walking up to the store I see an employee getting ready to close the gate. There was still another employee inside. I asked him if I could get a key made, but he told me no. I said well what time do you close because the Yelp hours say 7pm. He said that they close at 4pm. Is that so? I looked at him in bewilderment because it was now a quarter to 5pm. I cursed, released a long sigh, and marched off because not only did I waste time trying to get a key made, but there were no updated hours reflected on the website. To say that I was vexed is an understatement. I decided to to come back the following day on a Thursday and much to my surprise they were open. As I waited on line to get a key made. The employee rudely told me to go to the other side to get the key made. Quite frankly I'm not a fan of this place and the management has since change from when I used to come here. Not only are they rude but the way they conduct business is an abomination. If I didn't need a key made I wouldn't waste my breath or time here.

I come here the most , not because it's the best Home Depot but because it's the closest to home…read more It has a easy to get to parking lot. There's also some food options around the area and a Trader Joes. That's going to end now after a recent horror experience. I ordered multiple LED light fixtures for pick up the next day. I came into the store and they had it all packed in the shopping cart. I checked my list to make sure all were in the cart and I went to load them into my car. As I grabbed the boxes I noticed 2 of the same lights weighed differently as I picked them up. I shook the lighter one and it was empty, just a cardboard box. I immediately went back inside and showed them. They went to speak to the associate who packed it and he obviously said it wasnt empty when he put the order together. They told me there's nothing they can do. I'm standing there baffled by what they are telling me, and clearly they are indirectly calling me a thief and a liar. I beg them to check my car and security cams. They did neither of those and said they will look into it and call me back if they find anything. I honestly should've made a big scene at the store but I already had a long and rough week. This was adding to my run of bad luck. I was ready to take a big L and lose out on $30 for the missing light. Luckily online support is more competent and might I say shown more customer support than the employees at this branch. They were able to refund me for the missing light. Terrible experience here and I don't think I can ever step foot back here as I have zero confidence that they will work with me if any problems occur with my future orders and purchases. Also, I never received a call from the store. Maybe even an apology would be nice.

Time to update my review for Home Depot…read more What I like about this particular Home Depot is that it has a huge parking lot and close to many of the stores and eateries here. Walking in can be overwhelming. Trying to figure out where to find the items you want to purchase. Was shopping for a light bulb to replace the one in the fridge. Had to ask staff which aisle to find the light bulbs. Staff knew exactly which aisle and how to get to the aisle. It's like a going through a maze here. LOL. Felt like a Seinfeld episode-trying to find car in parking lot. It's just searching for a light bulb replacement for the fridge. Oy Vey! I need help. Luckily, I found a staff member (Look for staff with a Home Depot apron) with a name tag of Pablo. He was so helpful. He showed me where the appliance lightbulb exact location. Oh No! which color bulbs to select? Frosted/soft white to clear and even one that is yellow color bulb. I want to raid the fridge at 2 AM with no bright lights glaring at me. Pablo went over the different types and when to use. Selected the Soft White LED and headed to check out. Just follow the crowd and look for signs to check out. There was a long line at the checkout area. Staff directing customers to a self-out screen. It's all self-checkout counters. It can be pretty overwhelming trying to locate items here at Home Depot. Yes, one can spend a chunk of time going through the aisle. Tip- Flag down a staff with a Home Depot apron for assistance.
