This store is really big so it can be very intimidating. I would suggest looking online ahead of time so you have a good idea of what you are looking for. I went in today to get a sink cabinet and Devon S was super helpful in answering my questions (I had a lot!) I'm writing this review to give DEVON a big shout out! Online: Shopping online is convenient. Most items ship free, with some items being delivered DAY OF. Other than that, the return policy is pretty decent 90 days for MOST items (outside of major appliances, etc)-- haven't had any issues so far, so I make my purchases with confidence. read more

Please read before buying LG! We bought an LG washing machine, replacing our old LG (10 year warranty). After a short few months it started to destroy our clothes. It first accord after washing our sheets. They looks like some sharp object would be in the drum and pull strands out of the fabric. We checked the drum, stroked over every inch with our hands, used cotton balls to see if anything stuck - nothing! I called customer service (we ordered our washer directly from LG). They told us to run the drum clean cycle 5 times in a row (that's 7.5 hours!) that should solve the problem. We did and the next load of laundry had the same problem. We called LG again, send them pictures as requested, were told they investigate and call back. They never did. Today was the 6th time I called and also send an email to the president. After telling them that I will write this review and post it everywhere I was asked by the supervisor if I use the right cycle to wash my laundry. I am 69 years old and know how to do laundry. Finally I was told he would pass it on to their service center which will contact me to find out if it is a manufactory defect. This goes on now for over 6 weeks. The service center contacted us via text and asked what are the defective parts - how am I supposed to know? The next message was they reach out if they have someone available. I would stay away from LG which is hard to say because we have LG everywhere from fridge to TVs but if something is wrong it is the worse customer service you ever experience. read more

I come here the most , not because it's the best Home Depot but because it's the closest to home. It has a easy to get to parking lot. There's also some food options around the area and a Trader Joes. That's going to end now after a recent horror experience. I ordered multiple LED light fixtures for pick up the next day. I came into the store and they had it all packed in the shopping cart. I checked my list to make sure all were in the cart and I went to load them into my car. As I grabbed the boxes I noticed 2 of the same lights weighed differently as I picked them up. I shook the lighter one and it was empty, just a cardboard box. I immediately went back inside and showed them. They went to speak to the associate who packed it and he obviously said it wasnt empty when he put the order together. They told me there's nothing they can do. I'm standing there baffled by what they are telling me, and clearly they are indirectly calling me a thief and a liar. I beg them to check my car and security cams. They did neither of those and said they will look into it and call me back if they find anything. I honestly should've made a big scene at the store but I already had a long and rough week. This was adding to my run of bad luck. I was ready to take a big L and lose out on $30 for the missing light. Luckily online support is more competent and might I say shown more customer support than the employees at this branch. They were able to refund me for the missing light. Terrible experience here and I don't think I can ever step foot back here as I have zero confidence that they will work with me if any problems occur with my future orders and purchases. Time to update my review for Home Depot. What I like about this particular Home Depot is that it has a huge parking lot and close to many of the stores and eateries here. Walking in can be overwhelming. Trying to figure out where to find the items you want to purchase. Was shopping for a light bulb to replace the one in the fridge. Had to ask staff which aisle to find the light bulbs. Staff knew exactly which aisle and how to get to the aisle. It's like a going through a maze here. LOL. Felt like a Seinfeld episode-trying to find car in parking lot. It's just searching for a light bulb replacement for the fridge. Oy Vey! I need help. Luckily, I found a staff member (Look for staff with a Home Depot apron) with a name tag of Pablo. He was so helpful. He showed me where the appliance lightbulb exact location. Oh No! which color bulbs to select? Frosted/soft white to clear and even one that is yellow color bulb. I want to raid the fridge at 2 AM with no bright lights glaring at me. Pablo went over the different types and when to use. Selected the Soft White LED and headed to check out. Just follow the crowd and look for signs to check out. There was a long line at the checkout area. Staff directing customers to a self-out screen. It's all self-checkout counters. It can be pretty overwhelming trying to locate items here at Home Depot. Yes, one can spend a chunk of time going through the aisle. Tip- Flag down a staff with a Home Depot apron for assistance. read more

The technology here is so outdated... worse than Target and many other major stores. It's as if they don't want to offer any incentives to their customers, especially those who are busy and on the go. Initially, they offered a military discount to anyone with a valid ID, then they changed it to ID.me only, which is cool because it doesn't ask you to upload sensitive documents but rather a valid military email, with less than 5 minutes verification. Now, they've made it even more complicated and time consuming by requiring you to upload your documents to the Home Depot website and wait for verification. And honestly, why would anyone upload sensitive documents to a company that keeps changing its requirements for offering a military discount? If someone needs certain items urgently, this process is simply not feasible. On top of that, their app is terrible. It doesn't even have a barcode to help track spending nor earn points, so instead, they ask for the phone number registered with the app. However, some of us use email instead of a phone number, and they said they don't take email, which makes it impossible to track purchases. They claim you need to go to the front desk to set it up, but when we're on the go, most of us won't bother. I've spent thousands of dollars here, and none of it has been tracked in my account. To be honest, other stores, like Pro Deal Liquidation nearby, offer way better deals, along with many online sites as well. They also make keys here, but again, their technology is subpar. They use non-universal machines where you insert your key for duplication. This excludes shorter keys, which are typically used with digital locks Very disappointed with Home Depot. It has gone downhill over the years, and there is no internet service inside even tho it's ground level unless you use their WiFi. read more

I ordered an item online that was offered with same-day delivery for free. Well, it WAS delivered, but to the wrong house. The driver took a photo of the item on someone else's front porch as proof of delivery. When I went to the store and explained the situation, the clerk said she would refund me. Did I get my refund? Nope. I had specifically noted in the 'Delivery Instructions' details of the exact location and even color of my house. Where did the item get delivered to? A house with the wrong color and wrong house number. So I went HD online and disputed their claim of delivery. I showed them their OWN photo with a house number visible (not mine) where they delivered the item and a photo of MY house. Did I get a refund then? Nope. I just keep getting replies saying the item was delivered to me with a photo of my item sitting on someone else's front porch. I will NEVER order same-day delivery from Home Depot again. The delivery guy made an honest mistake, but Home Depot absolutely refuses to admit they made a mistake and has refused to refund me. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING for delivery from Home Depot unless it is being shipped via FEDEX, UPS, or USPS. Actually, with their pathetic customer service, you should stay away from HD entirely. If you have an issue, they will NOT help you. I have spent thousands of $$ shopping at HD over 20 years, and this is how they treat a loyal customer? I have a Lowes in my town. This Home Depot location has gone downhill, and the leadership team is a big reason why. Managers Darron, Russel, and Lilian are the furthest from providing any real customer service. Lilian became upset when I asked to speak with her supervisor, responding with, "So you're going to go above my head?"--completely unprofessional. Russel, despite being an Assistant Manager, was even worse. And Darron, who is supposed to be the Customer Experience Manager, seems to have no idea how to actually deal with customers. The store itself is ok to very good, I love the garden center. However, the negligence of ignoring the parking lot situation is beyond ridiculous at this point. The people who hang out in the lot have gotten pushier and pushier since covid. They used to just sit under the trees and wait for you to approach them. Now they follow you and bully you into tipping. I've been going to HD less and less because of them but had to go last week for a few harder-to-find items. Yet again, I was harassed by guys in the parking lot. This time the dude met me at the door, walked with me within 3 feet of me, same as back when I got mugged in the city years ago, so I was very much on edge. He bent into my cart looking for something, no idea if he was going to steal something. Followed me to my car, then started taking stuff out of my cart. Fight ensued. He got nasty then switched and put on a fake smile like "just doing my job it's all good." I am a fit 40-something, can't imagine what old people or women deal with. Does the store not grasp that allowing the "workers" in the lot to go unchecked for 3+ years means people who want to shop there can't, because they can't defend themselves or don't feel like arguing with "workers" as part of the shopping experience? I've already been delaying shopping for when I'm in the suburbs; at this point HD has conditioned us to be used to not shopping there. Home Depot has a very organized curbside and pick up system going and the online order pick up moves faster than I've ever known. Like all Home Depot's, this one is huge. It helps to know what you want beforehand. I like to order online and pick up at the store. Free home delivery is also available. They have hand sanitizer for use everywhere and it seems like they have more staff, a plus when I don't know exactly what's needed and/or don't want to linger in the store during a pandemic. read more

I visited this location two times in the last two weeks. We needed tiles. K and I asked one employee regarding several glass tiles. He looked at the tiles, and informed us that Home Depot discontinued the brand and no longer stocks that tile. I returned to see if they had another type of tile. An employee scanned the barcode and informed me that Home Depot does not have that type of tile. She informed me that they no longer stock that type of tile. The same day, I went to another Home Depot and that employee informed me that Woodhaven Home Depot was the only Home Depot in Queens that had 40 square feet of the tile I requested. This Home Depot is located right off woodhaven blvd. There is ample parking. The store is extremely large and organized. However it is extremely dusty and dirty throughout the entire store. I touched boxes and my hands became very dusty. There were 2 pigeons flying around the store which made the experience shopping there very uncomfortable. There were not any employees walking around the store which I had originally expected there to be. Yes I would come here again being it is really the only Home Depot in the area but I was not impressed. read more

Products can sell themselves, when price is the main factor which is what mega-marts specialize in, yet at Home Depot (this location) the staff is never too busy, never quick with a fast answer. Of the five Home Depot Stores within driving distance from my home this location seem to be the most reliable and stocked (most of the time). The parking lot is more convenient than the others and there are a couple of good places to eat next door. This spring their selection of plants and flowers are much better than all the other Home Depot stores. The other locations has more issues- 1. The Flushing store is dirty, hard to park, and too many contractors; and the store with the most accidents. 2. The College Point store seems to always out of stuff and not the easiest location to reach. 3. The East Elmhurst store is only a semi-Home Depot (it was a Home Expo); they do not carry everything because of the lack of space. 4. The Northern Blvd, LIC store appear to be stocked more with stuff for Manhattan folks than for home owners. So for the home it is great for construction and the yard the selection is less (This is my second favorite location) . Overall they are all aisles and aisles of stuff that you must search slowly and finding the right stuff can be very frustrating. read more

Usually I don't have a problem finding some one to begin with which is great. This one is decent sized too. Plenty of parking. It was a few years ago but I purchased my shutters from them and had them install them. The same guy who I took my order at the store was the same guy that showed up to actually install the shutters. Came out amazing and no issues with them since. The only knock I have on this one is the traffic you run into here. There are a lot of other stores nearby getting in and out can be chaotic especially during rush and weekend peak hours. read more

1-star is the bare minimum for a review, and that is far too generous for this particular Home Depot. I've stopped by this location because I needed something in a bind and this is the closest location to my apartment. Time and again, the employees here have made the experience atrocious. The best service comes from the automated check out machines, and the only help you can usually rely on is from Siri, Alexa, and Google when you are forced to consult on a home repair question because the staff here have no f*cks to give. They will either walk right past you when asked a question, feign as if they don't speak English, or push you off on another colleague while they go back to checking their phone, walking around, or doing whatever it is that they're doing besides providing assistance. This Home Depot really cut the cake, I came here with a friend to by fridge, the young lady who attended us was very courteous and professional, after we finally decided to purchase, base on price and free shipping of the fridge, we received the invoice and instructed to go to customer service and pay. As we followed instructions told to us by the sale person our nightmare began. The customer rep appears not to know what she was doing, so we requested to speak to someone in charge or a manager, instead we got a assistance manager who relay to the employee by landline to tell us " what was the problem" and to relay it back to the employee, we were told by the Home Depot that the supervisor has busy and to tell him thru the employee "what was the probkem" At this point we informed the employee we would like to speak to the store Manager, the employee came back with a assistant Manager Spanish guy who was very helpful and was able to clear up some of the matter, we were told to get in line and pay the Item. As we waiting a 2nd employee who turn out to be a Supervisor light skin African American, took the receipt and charges the full price of the fridge that was on sale ,when we said the same he said theirs no discount when pointed to what the sales person wrote 10% off. Discount the Assistant manage told us to wait and told us to srep to the side because he had other customer to help, when he called out for the rep to confirm he did not get any response he gave the receipt to another employee a female Spanish with tattoos and told her to take care of us, she just place the receipt by a empty register and told us to wait and she never came back. We waited about another 15 mnts until we got fustrated and we decided to leave, the Assistant manager saw us leave and said nothing. While I was outside I double back because we where in the store for 2 hours and we felt that we came out empty and with has no resolution. I decided to go back in and look for the manager, another employee told me I'll get him for you and that the store Manager name was Jason, that employee got on the phone and allegedly called the manager, I was deceived because I requested to speak to the store manager not a assistance, this was explains very clearly to the employee, but to my surprise he called the same assistance manager that let us go by with no resolution. I wasted 2 hours in this Home depot. I always buy merchandise here and today I was going to purchase over $3,000, in appliances and other Items. The fridge alone was over $1,000 that we were going to pay on the spot in cash, we also learn from Home Depot Employees that there was over 6 full time assistant managers allegedly in the store. I have never seen such lack of customer service specially when a customer wants to inform the manager of a concern regarding a payment of a purchase and the assistance manager allegedly verifying if we had 10% of the original price. What happen to customer courtesy?! Or care what happen to speaking to a manager? What do they have to hide? Why this type of treatment and lack of customer service and concerns? read more
