New to the area wanted to try something new with my family. Sat down ordered our food got the seafood bar the catfish was cold the shrimp was also. Salad bar ok. I noticed a lady walking around asking the other peoples in the restaurant how was there food and service was. Most where all Caucasian people. Me being Africa American noticed that the manager/owner had walked passed my family's table never speaking to or checking to see if our food and service was good like she had done with everyone else and I told her she was a racist and I spend money in this town of warrenton also. Not impressed. At least with the "Seafood bar". I haven't ever been to a seafood bar with no crab of some sort on it. The buffet isn't as long as they claim either. The tongs are spread out on the food causing them to be HOT. It burned my thumb. My mom and cousin have eaten here twice in the past month or so. They were excited to have a new place to eat in town and want to support local business's. When Olivers first opened it seemed as though it would be a decent place, but it has not kept up with this standard. Both times they called ahead to see what would be on the buffet. Each time they were told that they were not sure, to call back closer to opening. You would think the night before they would know what was going to be on the buffet. Today my mom called around 9:30 am and they didn't know what would be on todays menu. So she called back just before 11 and they named off three items. My mom and cousin decided to give it another try. Of course the lasagna was not on the buffet as they had been told and what they did decide to eat was cold...same as last time. When they told the waitress about it, she was pretty non caring. They did take the one tray into the back but no changes when they brought it back out. They lack organization not knowing what will be on their own menu even twenty minutes before opening and the food is luke warm at best. Save your money and eat somewhere else. read more

I would give this place a minus 5 if possible. Poor service, very poor quality of food. Ordered a French Dip with AuJus, the bread was soggy, roast beef had no flavor and the aujus was nothing but warm water. Told the waiter, he told me it wouldn't be any better if he brought me another one because it was the same cook. Won't ever be back. read more

Warrenton has needed a decent restaurant for a long time. Yesterday's was the last option. Oliver's has a nice menu. The steaks were recommended by friends and we were not disappointed. Seems to have a good following. Relatively busy yet plenty of seating. Staff is friendly and attentive. Prices are very reasonable. read more

Warrenton: Place is small, server kept forgetting to bring steak sauce, more beverage etc. Food was ok. If you go in the afternoon like 2pm you only get burgers, apps and sandwiches till "dinner time" whatever time that is was never clear. All in all I personally was not impressed. Extremely ugh...Got the dinner buffet...salad bar was good although Dad complained to himself about no Thousand Island dressing. Mashed potatoes were instant and bland, green beans were canned, fried catfish was old and barely warm (no tartar sauce to be found), fried chicken was ok but again not super fresh. My fiance's veggie burger was pretty good but they forgot her toppings, when brought out again they still forgot her cheese. I was really hoping and expecting more because it's really nice and stylish on the inside and they have a huge menu. Warrenton so badly needs more nice sit down restaurants so I hope this place starts to step up there game. read more

In town for a funeral. Found this place online as I didn't want to eat at Denny's. I am so glad I did. The place was packed. Had a short wait but we'll worth it. The food is out of this world and the service the same. We didn't have to wait to be taken care of by our waitress. Totally surprised this little town could have such a great place to eat. Well this is proabaly my new Favorite restaurant in town. Had the Steak for 2. it was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Hats off to the staff prompt friendly service and my wife's drink was never empty! tried the new restaurant in Warrenton. we looked at the menu online so already had an idea of our order. Tried to order butterfly shrimp, nope can't order that until after 5. Okay let's try a pizza, nope we no longer serve pizza (you have only been open 1 months). Okay how about spaghetti, nope can't get any pasta until after 5. Dang I'll just have soup and salad bar, no soup today. I quit, I ordered a cheeseburger which was over done and took 25 mins to come out. The steak dinner for 2 was outstanding...all cooked to perfection and large portions for your $ The salad bar had everything you could want on your salad...very impressive & delicious! Warrenton desperately needed a decent restaurant & Oliver's delivers! There aren't many entrees to choose from & they weren't that good (bourbon chicken & popcorn shrimp). However, the place looks good, very friendly service, & the salad bar was good. They have a ton of sandwich options so my guess is that is their speciality & what I'll choose next time. The tables seemed too close. There was no music and we heard every conversation from other tables. I know about the other mans anniversary, the little girls math issues and the other guys blood thinners. My husband ordered butterfly shrimp and two sides. He said the slaw was bland, and the noodles tasted like chemicals. The sides were very small, in fancy containers. I got the salad bar. The fried chicken was very good, especially the crunchy bits. The mashed potatoes/gravy (two choices) was good, and the green beans and okra were excellent. My husband said it was too warm and they need to kick up the AC with all the people going in and out. My husband & I have eaten there twice in the last week, (Aug 2017) and here's what I think, #1. waitress did not even give her name when waiting our table. #2. No draft beer?!?, #3. No senior discount #4. Prices a little high for us. #5 Most important, Both the menu items I tried were really not that good! I did tell our waitress (whose name I have no idea) and she said oh, sorry! And their buffet is $15.99, Whow!!!!!!!Not to good for just getting started in this area. So to sum it up, I do not believe we will be visiting this restaurant any time soon! Daily specials,and lower prices would be really nice, and show a little appreciation for your customers! Fine food, if you have at LEAST an hour to wait. My son and I recently walked out after 45 minutes of waiting, to no avail, for our food. On a previous visit, our food took over an hour to arrive. Came here on Tuesday for dinner and ordered a rib eye with cole slaw and garlic mashed potatoes. Rib eye was terribly thin piece of meat, garlic mashed tasted just mashed no garlic, close slaw and the corona were the best part of the meal. Against my better judgment came back on Wednesday night because let's face it, there's not many places to eat in Warrenton. Ordered a black and blue burger only to find out after 20 minutes that the kitchen was out of blue cheese. The fries appear to be store bought crinkle cut fries. I would think for a locally owned business they would have more pride in what they serve. There's no reason to be out of anything on the menu and let's be real, how about just cutting up some fresh potatoes and frying those. That would be way better than the store bought crinkle cut. Food is very good. We visited for lunch, during a company outing , a party of 14, and everyone liked their burger/sandwich/wrap. Service is friendly although a bit slow, perhaps because of the large party. I would recommend Oliver's and would definitely return if I'm back in the area. read more

Great restaurant! I'm a very picky eater and no matter what I order, it's fantastic! The wait staff is very friendly and always willing to help. They also have a downstairs banquet room that we used for a bridal shower and it was perfect. Love the decor too! So family friendly. read more

Nice little place in a strip mall by the movie theater. (Not the picture shown on Yelp). Not the best NY Strip steak I've ever had but not bad either. Mac N Cheese was good. Salad bar was stocked well and had a large buffet if you're into buffets. You have to give this place a try!! I went there for the first time in November 2014. Everything is excellent. Their food is the best around. I have never had anything that wasn't good. Everyone is always so warm and friendly. This is definitely a family friendly environment. Be sure to try their new seafood buffet on Friday nights or the Friday Night Steak Special for two!! Terrible customer service. I can't speak for the food because we didn't actually get to eat it. At 5:00 on a Saturday they were out of high chairs. They didn't look too busy, but told us we'd have to wait an hour. The hostess seemed overwhelmed by a party of 11 at 5 pm on a Saturday. They didn't seem like they wanted to serve us at all. Met my hubby, Jim half way between our new house and Columbia because I am working in Columbia while he is staying at the house this week. I called ahead to make sure they could make a dish to cater to my allergies. They did not answer the first time I called but did the second. They also called me back in response to my message the first time. The salad bar was huge as promised and did have things that I could enjoy even with all my restrictions. I also got a plain grilled chicken which was EXCELLENT. Unfortunately, the only veggie they really have on the menu besides the salad bar is tomatoes so I wasn't able to get any warm sides. Jim had a chili burger and he said he could tell the burger was well done but he thought chili and burgers should remain two different meals I feel like we got a great value. Our check before tip was $22. The waitress was friendly but seemed a bit frazzled. Overall atmosphere was very nice and the outside is adorable with nice outside furniture. I sat on the porch overflowing with flowers to wait for Jim to arrive and it was very peaceful. read more
