Best corner bistro in Macon. Serving for both Lunch and Dinner. For app starters try the sweet potato fries. Our main course consisted of; 1. Excellent sweetened Salmon garnished with brussel spouts and pasta salad 2. Pesto chicken fettuccine - cooked perfectly 3. Turkey melt with a side of fries. The bistro building matched the downtown vibe which is a nineteenth century civil war era. Also, our waiter was very attentive however it did take time to receive our order due to time of day.

I was very underwhelmed by this restaurant. I did not have a bad experience but everything seemed mediocre. The service was fine, the food is good and the restaurant was well decorated and clean. The staff did not present well and this restaurant could have some class. After a short but considerable wait on a table, we were given the opportunity to sit at one of the tables in the bar area. A party left just ahead of us sitting down and the staff failed to thoroughly clean the dining area. My wife and I both ordered a sandwich with fries and a small salad. Complete assumption on our part but we prefer that a salad comes prior to a meal...but this is on us for not asking. All of the food was exactly as we ordered. They serve large portions here. I would dine here again but I would expect to have a stellar experience on my next visit or it would be my last.

Attended a Christmas Celebration with Forever Diamonds last week, and my First Experience with Oliver's was outstanding. Everyone and everything was great. The atmosphere was perfect as downtown Macon at this corner at Popular and 2nd Street is an absolute pleasure to visit. The Bloody Mary spicy was great. Our table service team did an excellent job. The appetizers were really good. And my Rosotto Salmon dish was outstanding. All in all a perfect night. Thank you Oliver's & Forever Diamonds. Two outstanding business. Merry Christmas!

What an amazing place... After visiting another place that appeared to be out of business, I decided to drive to downtown to try Oliver's corner bistro. Being that I was dining by myself, I chose to sit at the bar. Brooklyn, the bartender/server, was friendly, attentive, and very personable. I wasn't super hungry, so I decided to try the tomato bisque soup and the pesto cheese bread starter. Both tasted fresh and very flavorful. It tasted a little like a high-end, deconstructed grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup. While I was enjoying my food at the bar, Brooklyn told me about other menu items, including some from the Saturday and Sunday brunch menu. I'll definitely have to return the next time I stop in Macon. Cheers

Way to go Macon- you are two for two with meals today. My coworkers and I had a wonderful meal! Our server Megan was attentive but not a hoverer. The place was busy with a couple of large groups at one table. The kitchen was cranky out food, though. We had little lag time between ordering and eating. We started at the bar prior to sitting down for dinner and the bartender was talented and engaging. There was a set menu that was populated by specials of the day. I chose the ravioli of the day- stuffed smoked chicken with ricotta. Perfect portion size and very tasty. All three of us enjoyed our meals.

Went here for our 1st brunch. Had a great time Skylar was super friendly! Got the carafe of cranberry and pineapple mimosas. We had the avocado toast to start. And I had the shrimp and grits! Oh my it was super good! The sauce wasn't too heavy. And the shrimp were prefect. My fiancé loved his pancakes too! We sat in the back of the restaurant. It was a good brunch atmosphere.

Great food and great service! Also gave special attention to my fur baby. Will definitely be back! I highly recommend the shrimp & grits.

Food was good and made Fresh. We appreciated the handmade aspect. Prices were great as the staff was friendly. Our only knock would be that we sat in the back. Not much atmosphere and the acoustics were tough. Sit outside, or sit up front and you have a nice meal. read more

I've been here several times, and it's always been good. I like Oliver's, because you can get something casual, I had a steak sandwich last night, or more fine dining, like salmon and steak. This is a new jewel to downtown Macon. Prompt friendly service, fresh ingredients, delicious food and mouth watering dessert and lattes and cappuccino! I've been to Oliver's a few times for lunch and there's nothing I've tried that wasn't delicious. The sweet potato fry appetizer with blue cheese and balsamic is one of the best things I've ever eaten and the fresh pasta in the chicken pesto pasta is to die for. I haven't made it there for dinner yet but it is on my list as I'm dying to try the options I've seen on the dinner menu! read more

Food is excellent owner cares and is courteous. I had a very good experience. I had the salmon collard green Risotto. My wife had the shrimp 3 cheese ravioli. Both tastes great and but I have to say the risotto is the real star it blew my mind how good it was. read more

We were passing thru Macon GA and decided to try Oliver's Corner Bistro. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant. The Pesto Fettuccine with Chicken was the best I have ever eaten. The also made a special Sangria with a hint of Basil that was fruity and delightful. The price of our meals was very reasonable when compared to similar restaurants of the exceptional quality. Don't bother for lunch. I arrived at 1:30 and was seated promptly outside, but decided to dine inside because it was a bit chilly. Sat inside next to window and waited +15 minutes for service while I watched my waiter John prep his stuff at the bar shouting across the bar he'd be "right with me". Yeah, right. It was kinda embarrassing . Ugh. Then ordered a sandwich and glass of Chardonnay (finally arrived after begging) which was cold. Sorry I'm usually a big tipper, but left ZERO after such demeaning service. The Bed and Breakfast I'm staying at recommended a different restaurant - should have taken her advice. Ate lunch there today and it was delicious! We love eating downtown and supporting local businesses and this one did not disappoint. My husband and I ordered sanwiches. Though I will miss the original Ginger greatly the food at Olivers is excellent. I had the butternut squash and sage bisque. It was creamy and delicious. The smoked salmon blt with an orzo style pasta salad hit the spot. They have some outdoor seating, and it was a beautiful day outside. The staff is friendly. There were patrons outside with dogs that were welcomed. read more

My husband Chaz and I had lunch at your place today and the experience was exceptional! First of all, I noticed you had "Rubens" on the menu sign outside and we had to stop. My salad came 1st, WOW! Had lunch there today for a second time. It was excellent. I had a Cesar side salad with a Turkey Candied Bacon Cheddar Melt. It was very good but I liked my wife's Turkey Pesto Melt even better. They make their own salad dressing and the Cesar had a flavor you can't get out of a bottle. Can't wait to go back. read more

I was on a business trip in Georgia and was looking for something healthy. Not being from around here it's harder to find certain food options (i.g vegetarian/ non meat options). Luckily after some thorough searching I was able to find a place in Macon, GA. I want to say that I LOVED the story behind Oliver's Corner Bistro. I love family owned restaurants. Nicki, the owner, was pleasant to speak with since she brought a little California kick to her place. Her husband is the chef, who makes delicious meals. The staff is friendly and when speaking to our server she recommended things to do in the area. You will just have to find out for yourself and try this AWESOME/ AMAZING food! read more

I showed up on day 1 and got a salad and fries to go. The place is very clean and has a nice relaxing casual atmosphere with a home feel. The Black and Bleu Steak Salad was a nice portion, good selection of mixed greens that complements the perfectly cook steak and bleu cheese. Served with a small ranch dressing, it was just enough to complement the salad without overpowering the steak, greens and bleu cheese. Delicious, affordable, and fast downtown lunch option! Food is upscale and creative without being expensive. I've tried 2 of the salads, the butternut squash soup, salmon sandwich, orzo salad and mac and cheese and all were yummy! The inside is adorable and very nicely decorated. Great food in a funky fun ambience (probably an old cornet drug store) great service (DJ gets 5stars from us). Small menu which I like - edges towards eclectic creative. Our shrimp pomodoro linguini and dirt farmers special - orzo with veggies and a perfectly grilled smoked salmon were outstanding. This place was open only 2 weeks and already had near full house on a Thursday so I suggest you go here first next time in Macon. It sure beats every franchise in town. read more

Disappointing Experience After Years of Enjoyment We have always enjoyed dining at Oliver's and have had many wonderful meals here. However, our most recent visit left us questioning whether we'll return. During our last visit, we ordered a steak that didn't meet our expectations. Our server was understanding and took the dish back to the kitchen to have it switched out for something else. Unfortunately, what followed was an uncomfortable and disappointing experience. Katie, the manager, returned to our table, plate in hand, and began questioning us about why we didn't like the steak. Despite our attempts to explain, her persistent and unwelcoming behavior made us feel extremely uncomfortable. It felt as though we were being interrogated rather than having our concerns addressed. This situation ruined what should have been an enjoyable meal. Although we were already enjoying the other dish that came out with the steak, Katie's actions made it difficult for us to continue enjoying our meal. We eventually decided to leave early because of how she was handling the situation. Only then did she attempt to backpedal and become more pleasant, but by that point, the damage was done. We've loved dining at Oliver's in the past, but this experience has left us thinking twice about returning. A restaurant's atmosphere and customer service are just as important as the food, and unfortunately, this time both were lacking. read more

After attending a funeral to celebrate the life of my uncle, my family and I were looking for a place to share a meal and memories together. My aunt suggested we find a nearby restaurant, and thanks to Yelp, we stumbled upon Oliver's Corner Bistro. With its impressive ratings and tempting menu, we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a charming, quaint atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. Although we had a bit of a wait for our table--expected for a popular spot--we were seated as quickly as possible, which we appreciated given that there were six of us. The food was simply outstanding! My brother and cousin enjoyed the turkey pesto melt, while my uncle and aunt savored the creamy fettuccine Alfredo. My sister opted for the salmon, and I couldn't resist trying the gyro, which was amazing! It was a delight to see everyone clean their plates, and the vibrant conversation made the meal all the more enjoyable. A huge thank you to Oliver's Corner Bistro for providing a wonderful lunch experience during a bittersweet time with my family. I highly recommend this lovely bistro to anyone visiting Macon, Georgia. You won't be disappointed! read more

My family and I just had the most delicious lunch at Oliver's. Everything from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere was perfection! We had the super food salad, the chicken parmesan sandwich with sweet potato fries, and the chicken salad croissant sandwich with mac and cheese. The mac and cheese was to die for! I could not be more pleased with our experience, and I can't wait to go back again and again. Wishing this restaurant nothing but continued success...what a great addition to downtown Macon! read more

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant! The food is amazing, the staff is welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is calm and inviting. My favorite so far is the pesto cheese bread and the pimento cheese ravioli. Simply delicious!! I can't wait to try everything on the menu!! read more
