In my opinion, there isn't a lot of good Mediterranean food in the QCA. I've been to Olive Tree a few times and had a few different things but all falafel based. The falafel is great, no question. I've tried the bowl and the wrap and both were very good. I also was at an even that was a buffet and got to try several things, all of which were very good. My husband tried a gyro which he enjoyed with the only "complaint" that the pita was so fresh that it fell apart when he tried to eat it. Not a horrible problem to have but still an issue. The prices are all reasonable and they are typically pretty fast at making the food. I'll definitely be returning! read more

Driven last this one a few times and finally found an excuse to stop in. Very simply designed and I love the fact that you pay when you order. I had the Mediterranean Veggie Panini and we got the classics hummus with pita. Hummus and pita were AMAZING and a must try. My panini was very good but the bread was a little thicker cut then I usually like. Definitely will stop in again as they have a lot more items that looked really yummy!! read more

LOVE. This is not fast food - which is my favorite part. The Olive Tree kitchen staff actually makes the food (!) instead of microwaving, thawing or opening up packages. I haven't had anything I didn't enjoy - see favorites below: -babaganoush -Marrakesh salad -hummus (you can request cucumber slices instead of pita bread!) -stuffed grape leaves -chicken gyro The menu has a Mediterranean theme, so you can order anything from gyros to paella to Morrocan salads. Bonus: The owner frequently visits with patrons after their meal (when he's not at his day job - this is a hobby - cool) to get feedback. Olive Tree is a comfortable family dining place serving high quality Mediterranean food. I have been eating there for over 2 years now and I am always happy when I leave. The menu has a large variety of dishes, most of which I have eaten, and the ingredients are always fresh. If it is your first time eating there the wraps are a good choice. Of course my favorite is the Chicken Brochette (grilled chicken with tomato and artichoke and fresh mozzarella cheese ) They are willing to adjust any dish to your particular tastes. Super friendly staff and a good value for the price. Now I am happy to say that the second store on Locust Ave in Davenport has opened and the food and staff are just as good there. I can't believe it took 6 years of Olive Tree to be open for us to find it. Everything was great. I ate the Gyro wrap all was good but I forgot to tell them no olives. Not your typical cheap gyro. This had rice lettuce and feta. Delicious. My wife ate the Pita without Borders and it was fantastic. No leftovers! Hummus and falafel were good too. We will be regulars. read more

I absolutely love this place!! All of the food is delicious...and I feel like I have sampled the entire menu. The only downfall is that is does seem to take a while to get your food and if you need a quick lunch it is best to order ahead. Otherwise, I definitely recommend!! read more

LOVE Olive Tree Cafe! I almost always get the falafel wrap, it is wonderful. Last week the owner recommended I try the Moroccan Tagine and I was over the moon. Fantastic blend of spices and flavors. A nice crisp salad. Delicious rice. One of my favorite places in Bettendorf. read more

The chicken kabob and basmati rice was somewhat bland and dry, not bad tasting, rather lacking the more authentic flavor that I was hoping to experience. The salad was enjoyable. I would give a '3' rating based on the food alone, however due to the complete lack of customer service I gave an overall rating of '1.' The young girl at the register made it quite apparent that she wasn't interested in explaining the different menu items, or for that matter wanting to be present while working. What most turned me off was the manner in which she cleared tables, literally tossing dishes and silverware into the tub nearby our table that was very disruptive, not once, but repeatedly. Such disregard for the customer made for a very bad impression and left me with no desire to return. read more

I wish I never waited so long to try this place. I would recommend and they also have very reasonable priced food that tastes amazing. I got the Smoked Turkey Pomodoro w/ rice and my dad got the Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap w/fries. I really like how they separate the sides in different dishes vs putting everything on one plate. The rice was very good and had the right amount of kick without being too spicy and the fries were so good. They had that perfect crunch without being greasy or tasting like they were frozen fries most places use. I will definitely come here more often to try other things on their menu! read more

My wife and I love this place. We eaten here many times and always consider it when thinking of where to go to eat. All the food is great. What we have also learned is how wonderful the staff and the owner of the place are. We usually order some hummus and pita bread. You get a lot of humus and some fresh made pita bread. If you run out of the pita - just ask for some more! A group of us were talking to the owner and found out that his family is in a country were a member of the group's sister was living. He insisted that the sister contact his parents and they would make her a big dinner. He gave his parent's phone number and address. It just goes to show how wonderful the people are here. read more

Great salad and hummus but awful service. I've had half a dozen bad experiences here and at the Davenport location. The staff aren't friendly and it has taken upwards of an hour and a half to get a salad. I placed an order there around 7:15 pm, they said 30 minutes, I got there right before 8 and they told me they had sent their kitchen staff home for the night with my food. Then told me it was my fault because they called me but I had no missed calls. The owner really needs to get some competent people working there because the food is great but the service sucks. read more

So different from the chain restaurants. The menu offers so many varied choices. I have eaten there five times, each time having something different, and all the meals were delicious. The food tastes fresh and the combination of spices is perfect. I have had the Mediteranean tilapia, the vegetable platter with stuffed grape leaves, hummus, falafel, pita, and several of the bowls. Olive Tree Cafe is good food from the Med that won't break the bank. We recently ordered take-out, and it was a worthwhile and productive wait (approx. 20 mins) since our food was so fresh and tasty and there was room to sit at a table or stand comfortably. The counter staff were polite and attentive, and the owner was nice enough to stop and say "welcome". We really liked the tabbouleh salad, falafel, baba ghanouj, and baklava. read more

I was told I HAD to try this restaurant. And now I pass that along to you. They have a great selection of dishes and a wonderful staff. I got a chicken panini and it was delicious. They make all of their food fresh when you order so it does take a while to come out but it's SO worth the wait. The guy who referred me is vegetarian and it's one of his favorite restaurants. March 2013 lunch was super. Then the menu changed. April 20, 2013 - My husband's pannini had only 1 oz. of beef. I ordered the salmon med. salad, but it came without the salmon. Waitress argued and checked the wall menu. Yes, there IS a salmon salad. I had to wait 10 min. for them to remake the order correctly. Not as good as my March salmon salad. It was embarrassing to bring my daughter to this place after I had raved about it. The owner did take my husband's name to make up for the sparse meat next time. I doubt there will be a next time. My daughter did like her wrap. read more
