Fatoush Salad, Falafel Bowl, Moroccan Couscous, Spanakopita

We've been sleeping on this restaurant! I have had it a few times over the years, and it's always been a decent experience. This week we decided to order dinner through Grub Hub, and we were seriously impressed with how the menu has evolved! We are vegetarians, and there were so many veg options that it was challenging to narrow down the order! We ordered 3 dishes to share, and the food was on point. We will definitely be frequenting this restaurant more often in the future. Thank you for such a yummy and healthy dinner!!

We liked the samosas the best out of all the dishes we had. My wife's gyro wrap was very greasy. The falafel was okay. Meh.

I've been tossing around the idea of moving back to Iowa, but the only way I'd ever do it is if I can move to an area that has a good falafel spot. The Olive Tree definitely delivers. This falafel bowl was loaded with leafy greens, rice, salad, hummus, and baba ganoush. There were even some olives in there too. The falafel was crisp on the outside but nice and soft on the inside. This is an incredible meal (vegan without feta) that will only cost you about $8.50 before tax. The menu is massive, and you're sure to find something you like whether you're well versed or new to Mediterranean cuisine. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They will answer any questions you may have and recommend good dishes based on your preferences. The lighting is pretty dim though and its kind of hard to see the food. Thats really the only negative thing I can say. This place is awesome

A taste of the Mediterranean in Eastern Iowa. Freshly prepared food. Vegetarian options, along with Chicken and Gyro meat. Great place to take your family or friends. Dine in and take out. Catering menu as well.

Great drinks. Cucumber mojito and Pom martini were fabulous. Decided not to order food.

This cool spot is located in Bettendorf in a corner strip mall location. They've got counter…read moreservice along with dining room space. It's decked out with live plants, some comfortable booths and some tables. It's an attractive space with a good view of the kitchen. It's a solid little space. We ordered the house salad, which is tossed in buttermilk ranch dressing and it's super delicious. Such a great salad to start with before the pizzas. It's large enough for 3 people to share, as there were 2 of us and we had some left over to take home. Brian Olsen has pizza on lock! He is a master at his craft. These pizzas have an amazing flavor, terrific crust and quality ingredients. They serve burgers and a chicken sandwiche, too! We ordered 3 different pizzas... one with garlic cream sauce and green peppers, one with pepperoni, sausage & red peppers and another specialty pizza with the hot honey & arugula with pepperoni and Calabrian chili's. Man, that was some good Za!! Claire was our server and she was terrific, too! Clearing dirty plates, refreshing silverware and beverages. Terrific attitude! All in all, Bettendorf has an amazing pizza restaurant that the locals should be grateful for in their own neighborhood! And, Smash serves beer, wine, and cocktails, too. I wish I lived closer. I'd become a regular and dine in often! Whenever I'm back in town, I'll be sure to stop by to try some different specialty pies, like the elote pie. That one sounded really good! So did the za with wild mushroom & kale!! Maybe one day Smash will create a taco pizza to compete with Happy Joe's, rip Joe Whitey. But, seriously, there is no comparison between the two. Smash is hands down one of the best pizza restaurants in the QC's and is better that many BIG city pizza spots. Thanks for the good time, great food & service!!

There was some kind of a party going on inside so we decided to sit outside. The waiter was decent, and seemed knowledgeable about the menu. I wasn't sure if I wanted the garlic chicken pizza or the chicken fajita pizza. He said definitely the garlic chicken pizza. Since we walked to the restaurant from our hotel, I also had a Long Island iced tea. I wouldn't say the food was bad. However, I could neither see nor taste any garlic on my garlic chicken pizza. I could see and taste the chicken, peppers, and onions. I was not able to pick up any hint of garlic. One of the other coaches tried some of my pizza. He said he thought it could use a little something to give it a bit more flavor. I agreed. Maybe some garlic would have helped? My Long Island iced tea also tasted fine. However, I have to question the alcohol content. I drank it in less than half an hour and didn't feel a thing. I decided not to get another one. At $8.88 per drink, I didn't think it was worth it. I want to stress that the food and drinks we got tasted fine. I just didn't feel like I got what I ordered. We had a good time out on the patio, so the time wasn't wasted, but I highly doubt I'll be going back. I didn't take any photos because I wasn't expecting to do review. After thinking about it for a while, I decided people would want to know about my experience there. What do you think? Was this review helpful?

We were barely seated when they began taking drink orders--super efficient and friendly service right from the start. I tried the Cherry Bomb Blonde beer and really enjoyed it--light and flavorful. The servers worked as a team and got everyone's orders in quickly, which is impressive for a group our size. We started with the pretzel bites and beer cheese, which were a definite 10/10--warm, soft, and perfectly paired with the cheese. We also shared a hamburger pizza, and really appreciated the thin crust and how the hamburger was broken up into small pieces. The sauce was sweet, and we would've loved just a little more of it (or maybe some on the side for dipping). We're not from the area, but if we were, this would definitely be a regular spot. I've included pictures of the BLT pizza and the jalapeño pineapple pizza that others in our group ordered--both got great reviews too. Overall, fast and friendly service, especially impressive for a large group, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
