I drove and parked off to the side of the building. There was a line when I walked in and the counters were full, but there was a gentleman taking people's name and phone number. After he entered my name and number, he instructed me to take a seat and someone would call me shortly. Quite a bit of time had passed so I went up to the counter to see how much longer would it be. I was told it would be another hour, that if I had made an appointment, it would have saved me an hour. I told him that's what I tried to do earlier but was told to just come in. I told them that I can't waste more time than I already did today. He gave me his business card and name for next time. I'll have to take care of this another day, but I'll insist on scheduling an appointment at the location closer to my home.

Told the guy I need my tires rotated and my check tire light came on so probably one of the tires needs some air. He immediately asked what year is your car? I said 2017. He said when did the light come on, I said Wednesday but I knew I need rotation so i figured I'd have it done all at once (Saturday) He goes on to say (with an attitude) well with the age of your car the sensor is probably bad. Why would my sensor be bad??? It's doing what it's supposed to do..alert when tire pressure is low. Then he takes my key, takes pics of my car. Comes back in and asks if I had my wheel lock key. I said it's on the center console. I talked to "one of the managers " as he described himself and explained my concerns to him about this particular employee. He just said "oh I'm sorry"but did nothing. When the rude guy came back in, I had made my decision that I was not comfortable there so I asked for my key and wheel locks back. He said "why?" I said "because of your attitude " he said " I don't have no attitude " I walked out. Just because I'm a woman you cannot treat me like I'm stupid. My father was a mechanic. I know more than you think. There are plenty of other places I can go. You just lost a loyal customer. I had bought several sets of tires for me and my kids' cars. Never again.

Instead of empathy or support, I was immediately cut off by the sales rep (older, heavyset Hispanic gentleman) who aggressively launched into a sales pitch about buying new tires and supposed "burn out" damage. He didn't even acknowledge what I had to say. That kind of behavior, at a moment when a customer is already shaken, feels like nothing but greed and dishonesty. I've been to Discount Tire locations across the country and have always trusted and recommended them even this store in the past. I've come here both in uniform and out as a military service member and never experienced anything like this. But after today, this location is officially off my recommendation list. Customers deserve honesty, respect, and compassion especially in urgent situations. What I received here was the opposite. I even came to visit no only for a flat tire but to purchase new tires for my other vehicle. No cost can undue my experience.

Not only did three other auto shops quotes come back at half the price for the same work, but they left out critical information about my engine most likely not working after those repairs. I had to google all the codes myself for that information. The price difference was concerning and they left me feeling uncomfortable about the recommendation. Most auto shops would see that there was an engine recall code, and refer me to Kia. Not try to scam a pregnant woman into paying $1300 for a car that still wouldn't run after their repairs..

Same waiting room that looks like all of its furniture came from a thrift store. But new name. I've dealt with them for years and have always been delighted. Today I had a crisis with a ruined front tire on my Volkswagen EV. The size that it needed was unusual. The manager explained to me that if I wanted a good price I was going to have to wait until Monday. I explained to him that I was going to lose a lot of money if I didn't have a working van this weekend and that I would be willing to pay more for quick service. He understood, and figured out where he could get same-day delivery on tires that would work. When you replace a front-wheel tire with a new variety, you have to change both of them even if only one side is ruined, so I needed two unusual-sized tires in a big hurry. I got them. My car was towed in on a big flatbed tow truck, but I drove out with a smile on my face, two new Michelin Crossclimate-2 tires on my front wheels, and a a larger Visa balance. I am thinking about going back on a non-emergency basis to get my rear tires replaced with Crossclimate-3's. They are pretty great.
