It follows the pattern of their other restaurants, serving up Indian, oriental and Italian food, mainly buffet style but supplemented by a few live cooking stations such as the noodle stir fry, where the chefs will fry your chosen combination of meat, veg and noodles with a sauce of your choice. The restaurant itself is very bright and airy with high ceilings and big windows. It does tick many boxes but I would still only recommend it for big parties - the buffet makes sure everyone is well-fed, the split of the bill is easy to calculate at the end of the evening and there will be no fighting over what style of food to go for. However, for me, the food is average and I can only give it 3 stars

Curry, Pizza, Salad…read more.... ...Marshmallos, lasagne, ice cream, noodles. A huge restaurant opposite Wimbledon Theatre priding itself on the exploration of around the world cuisine. It's a sure bet for large groups with bits and bobs to please everyone and a good selection for vegetarians. The set up is quite impressive, large hot plates, desert bar and chefs in white hats wandering around asking if you need any advice about what to try. Now, I can imagine what it's like when the restaurant is full on a weekend, and I can see why the place gets a bad rep here. But, I went of a Tuesday with a friend for a nice catch up meal. We were starving and needed a hole filling... and boy did Jimmy's do that. Cheesy Music, lots of families... but if you know what you're going in to... good clean fun all around. Top tip: Tip you waiter... they deserve a pay rise for the uniforms they have to wear.

Your strategy should be to take very small amounts of things that look promising to you back on your first plate and decide based on that whether you want to take a larger portions, because the dishes seem to very widely in authenticity & flavor. I recommend the grilled gyro meat; the chicken korma; the Korean style spicy fried chicken; the tandoor style chicken wings; indian style shrimp; the brown, stir fried thick noodles; the white rice; the roasted turkey; the Eaton mess, coconut pudding, and fruit. The lamb ribs were tender but very plain. Chicken Tikka masala was tender but slightly acrid & mostly tasted of garam masala. It cried out for fresh lemon and yogurt. I did not see Raita. Dishes I would not recommend: lamb rogan josh - salty and v over cloved; sweet and sour chicken - sticky breading & v sweet; crispy satay - had a single noted unfamiliar flavor; ice cream cones tasted of whey. Tried bits of several other sauced chinese dishes that I found very lacking. They were very fast about clearing away plates and dirty, silverware and the bathrooms are clean. It's a bit noisy and I wish parents would not let their children run around rummaging through the food and the chocolate fountain. If you're going with a group of people that don't like different things, I think everybody would be able to find something they were happy with. Kids seem to like it a lot. For two of us with only water to drink, the bill came to 48 quid I think. It was the only place in the area where we could get Indian food at five in the afternoon. I might go there again, but I would be even pickier about what I tried.

For less than £15 you can have an all-you-can-eat buffet including pizza, Indian, Chinese, fried foods, salad or freshly prepared teppanyaki, stir-fried noodles, grilled meats, and desserts. Drinks are made to order except fizzy drinks that are bottomless for just £2.85.  The variety on offer is good but the quality is average e.g. the beef and turkey roasts were dry and likewise the vegetables were shrivelled up as if out for too long, the chicken and sweetcorn soup tasted okay but was a bit watery, some of the black Bean mussels had dried out so that the mussel was dry on the inside, the sushi rolls had barely any filling and the teppanyaki tasted bland. The dessert fairs better than the savoury food with an impressive chocolate fountain, a range of ice cream flavours and an array of pre-prepared bite-sized items including rocky road, chocolate cakes, strawberry mousse, mini Swiss rolls and jelly. The fruit on offer was pineapple, watermelon and grapes whereby the pineapple was watery but lacking sweetness and the grapes were sweet whilst contained seeds.  All in all the food and drink was aplenty, of a satisfying variety and displayed well but the quality was not quite commendable.

After being loyal take away customers for at least a year, my husband and his parents decided to give sitting in another chance. They reported none of the problems of our previous visit, so our bad visit really must have been a one-off.

In desperation, I broke all the rules and decided to eat at my hotel. Who woulda thunk it? Good hotel food with faultless service in a lovely restaurant overlooking the River Thames and, even better yet, at a great price, twenty quid for a three course meal! OK, it's served buffet style, which was a bit odd for a restaurant of this quality but that just means unlimited food, right? Yep, it's eat as much as you like. So, I did. The chef's modern take on meze/tapas style Mediterranean appetizers was an absolute triumph. The traditional English dishes were, admittedly, a bit dried from the lamps but the pheasant wrapped in pancetta was still delicious and the panettone bread and butter pudding was good to the very last spoonful (my apologies to the other diners who were hoping they would get some too). And, did I mention it was only twenty quid. Top stuff!

I'll be honest the more involve I got in to this conversation the more I had a craving for a Chinese buffet, so what did I do, I hid until the sun came down and out I went in search for my closet Chinese buffet fix. Yes just like that a simple conversation through yelp led me to a table with a fork in my hands within hours. Josy A. said I should be disappointed with the quality of the food I find which was sound advise to be honest as I was out to satisfy "the eternal hunger" that was a upon me. The second I've entered this place and the first time was not good it was bad but this time was different I had "the eternal hunger" which will last forever until my craving was satisfied for Chinese. I'd almost forgot this place is not Chinese it's a selection of pan Asia dishes ranging from Thai to Indian , which also had a barbecue station for grilled meet and veg as well as a man bread station that cooked the nan bread fresh in front if you. For £15 this is a good buffet purely because it was cheaper than the amount discussed in our thread but also the vast selection of food on offer. I feel my tip was accurate when I said indulge and overload, as I am now suffering from a pan Asia food coma onslaught all because I took Tim L's thread a little too far.
