I went to this restaurant about a month after it opened. It is very popular, presumably due to its excellent value for money. You can eat as much as you like for about £15 from the self-service buffet. The food is quite good quality for a place that doesn't specialise in a single cuisine. The atmosphere is always buzzing, and whenever I walk past it I can see it is almost full even on weekday evenings. The customers are of all ages, some are couples, some are in groups, some are celebrating birthdays and some go there after work. Even when it's very busy, you will have no problem getting the attention of a waiter. There are many members of staff and they are all quite young, and very friendly (to the point where I would question the sincerity of their friendliness). Some seem quite new to the trade, so I guess they were recruited specifically for the restaurant's opening; but they all seem eager to serve. My bill for two came to £42, which consisted of about £30 for the two meals, about £8 for two drinks, and a 10% service charge which was added to the bill. The friendly waiter who gave me the bill asked if I would pay in cash or by card; when I replied card, the waiter then took my card, explained how much the staff liked to please their customers, asked us if we really enjoyed our experience, and then asked how much I would like to put on the card. I hadn't realised at the time that service charge was already included, so ended up paying for service twice. One star deducted for that. read more
