Let's start white what we did Like, The location is very nice if you haven't been to Mt Dora then you should definitely take the drive and visit this beautiful small town. This weekend MT Dora had the Blueberry festival, it has lots of history and you can pretty much walk the complete town in about 1hr or you can take the Tour in a Golf Cart and see everything for a Sears And Roebuck House to the Vince VanGogh house... Back to the restaurant, there's sitting inside and outside, the internet decor is beautiful the tables are covered if Fresh white linens, the Staff is awesome and by no way does the 2 stars reflect on the service or staff. We visited at 2:30 so they were serving late lunch/early dinner and we all ordered different meals. We had 2 glasses of wine, one appetizer and 3 different dishes. I'm notorious for ordering calamari when it's available so I'm very familiar with the the way is should be and this was not good. The Calamari was NOT Fresh and the breading was super bland, I've had it better at Costco. We had Penne Primavera with chicken and it's was the best of the 3 dishes. We also had Fettuccini Alfredo and that was ok the rigatoni and broccoli was pretty bad, they did not drain the pasta and it was not good at all... Great location in the downtown Mount Dora, right next to the Premier Boat Tours, hotel, retail stores and parks. The restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating, but it's pretty hot to sit outside during summer. We went there first time last Sunday. We were pleasantly surprised they were open and had tables during pandemic time, unlike some other restaurants in Mount Dora. Staff is professional & friendly. Our waitress was super nice. Food was good. Their fresh bread with olive oil was super good. read more

The service was very good, very nice outdoor seating, The food, the bread was fresh and warm, the linguini and clams in the white sauce was cooked oh so well with plenty of claims. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was a bit pricey at $14 for 4 jumbo shrimp. For this area of the country, this just seems a bit high but they were tasty. Would not recommend - asked for one meal with chicken, did not receive any. Once I asked the waitress she assured me that I did not ask for (implying she wasn't going to get any). Once I saw the receipt, chicken was most definitely charged with my meal. Asked for it to be taken off, and they had to go through "management" to get it done. My wife and I along with friends dined on 6/12/2021. The food and service were excellent (5 stars). However, sitting inside was quite hot and we were perspiring (0-1 star). It would have been cooler outside where there was a breeze. All tables were occupied and it was too noisy to converse reasonably (2 stars). We had dined here on a weekday evening in May when it was rainy, so temperature and noise were not a problem. I called the manager who said the AC was running at its best and couldn't keep up with the heat. I recommended that a HVAC contractor be called to evaluate upgrading the system. We will not return until cooler weather or the AC is better. I recommend not going on Friday or Saturday evening due to excessive crowd noise. read more

My wife and I came for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and we were not as satisfied as we wish we would have been. The place was not overly busy but the wait service (water refills, server check ins etc) was very slow. I don't believe this was the servers fault. What we noticed was although there were at least 4/5 servers working it appeared our server had tables both inside and outside on the patio on the other side of the restaurant. She was definitely overwhelmed however she was very apologetic and nice when she did make it around to see us. The food was mediocre at best. We both ordered the surf and turf and both the lobster tails and shrimp were over cooked we also ordered our filets medium rare however they also were overcooked. The flavor of the meat was very good though. The vegetables were flavorless and the mashed potatoes were soupy but seasoned well. The restaurant was very close quarters and very loud. Definitely would not recommend this as a date night or quiet dinner. read more

He had the NY strip $39 which was cooked to order but said the veggies had no taste. I ordered the Mediterranean Seafood Combo $32: watered down veggies, over cooked rice pilaf and overcooked and fishy tasting filet, 3 scallops and 3 (maybe) medium shrimp I couldn't even eat the fish and had a horrible taste in my mouth long after the meal was over. This is going to be harsh. We visited this place during the craft show. We made the first mistake of eating out on the patio. We were given plastic utensils, paper plates and styrofoam cups. Really ? The pita bread felt as though it was left out and starting to get stale. The hummus and red pepper dips were okay, the tzaiki (sp) was far too garlicky to eat. My kid ordered The fettuccine and the sauce tasted like it came from a can. I agreed. My husband had a wrap and said it was just ok. His cole slaw was unnaturally sweet. I had the tomatoes and mozzarella. They used what appeared to be beefsteak tomatoes. The basil chucks were so big and I couldn't cut them with the plastic fork very well. Ask for Stevie... not Nicks but the other one. Do you come from the school of thought that the server really elevates the experience? If so please do yourself a favor and ask for Stevie. She is lovely, professional, and a wonderful server. The food would have scored a 3.5 stars. French onion soup was somewhat flat in flavor. I was hoping for more. It was sufficient but not great. The bread and oil were outstanding. Don't bother counting carbs. Just enjoy the bread. Broccoli soup was acceptable but not something that will be sought after. Fettuccine with shrimp was a bit floury tasting. Was hoping for better. The rigatoni was interesting with grilled chicken. Seemed rather one dimensional. Our first visit to Mount Dora and we loved the town, but were perplexed in choosing a restaurant since there were so many. We chose the Olive Branch because they had outdoor seating and the specials on the menu board looked good. We had a nice table and our server came promptly, but didn't mention any of the specials or soups of the day which we had seen the waiter at the next table do with his customers. The menu is varied with apps, salads, sandwiches and pasta. I ordered the chicken salad wrap with fries. My husband ordered the London broil sandwich special and the server wasn't even aware it was on the menu. Turns out they had just sold the last one, so he had to choose something else. The food came promptly and was hot. I didn't care for my chicken salad. The chicken was pulverized and there was tomato in it as well as a boatload of arugula. There wasn't much flavor, so I made a bad choice. Fries were those frozen seasoned fries, so again, not a fan. Our server wasn't attentive and had we not been with friends, the experience would have been soured. With so many restaurants in this lovely town, I would certainly try somewhere else. read more

While we're new to the area, just moved here a week ago, we'd recently heard great things from friends of ours who were visiting for their anniversary. They invited us to dinner and we met them at an outdoor table since the weather was fantastic. All I can say is WOW - from server, to portion size, to gluten-free pasta (my wife is Celiac's), to the live singer entertaining us outside...it was a memorable meal. We had a fabulous time here. Mid week lunch date on the patio. Chillin eating some great fares. My gyro and salad was on point. The tzatziki sauce was sooo refreshing and not too garlicky, which is often the case elsewhere. My love had the chicken français. We both devoured our meals we forgot to take pictures o.0 Sadly I had to deduct one star on the count of the poor performance from the dessert menu. The apple tart looked amazing -- see pic. And that's were the wow factor stopped. It was... Not really fit for human consumption, minus the ice scream off course. Went there for dinner a few Saturday's ago. Party of 10. The restaurant called us 3 times to confirm our reservation. 10 people, sitting outside. When we arrived they didn't have our reservation anywhere. Tried to put us inside. We specifically asked for outside by the music. They had a table for 4 that we all sat around figuring we could get some drinks while waiting on another table. One server said she would be right over. 20 minutes later we flagged her down and said we were still waiting and she let us know she was no longer taking care of us. Great. 10 minutes later our server finally came over. In hindsight we should've left then. We ordered drinks, two people ordered a popsicle prosecco drink. By the time it got to the table the popsicle was completely melted. We ordered our food. Salads came out. One person was missing a salad and our server argued with us saying she never ordered a salad. Main dishes came out. Mine was ice cold. I asked to have it reheated as we now have waited over and hour and a half for dinner. Came out cold again. I just asked for it to be boxed up. Everyone was already done with their meals. Checks get dropped. My dinner is still on my bill, not discounted at all. For a cold meal I didn't even eat. I asked if there was something the server could do. She said yes no problem. I get my card back and she did nothing. I asked why and she said she couldn't find a manager to take care of it. Completely unacceptable. She also kept some people's change for their bills. We could not find her to ask for it back. She was completely MiA. This was a 2 hour dinner at this point. All of us left very unhappy and vowing to never go back. We all work in the service industry and we know to act better than that server treated us. I called the next day to try to track down a manager to let them know about our dinner. She took my information and has not called back. It's been two weeks. Please do yourself a favor and never go to this restaurant. read more

Loud music coming from the kitchen which made it impossible to enjoy the music in dining area. We were here last night to enjoy good music and joined some friends who were finishing up dinner there. I have resisted returning there after 3 TERRIBLE service experiences in a row. Our friends all raved about their meals. Service arrived without being pushy to be certain we had whatever we needed immediately. The plantings have been cared for and replaced if neglected too long.
