Stopped in during the arts and crafts festival. Looking for some good Greek food. And was highly disappointed in the food. Nothing was good. The calamari was previously frozen and had zero flavor. The minestrone was missing the tomato base for the soup and was extremely over salted. The lamb gyro meat was previously frozen and you could definitely tell. The spanakopita (spinach pie) had no flavor and was literally just spinach and phyllo. No seasoning missing onions and other key ingredients. Over all we were not thrilled or impressed. Food was served on plastic picnic plates. Plastic cutlery, styrofoam cups. As a Greek family we were so dissatisfied and would recommend to anyone thinking of trying this place to find another restaurant. This place isn't worth it. read more

We used to eat there 3 or 4 times a month but the quality of the food kept getting worse so we stopped last year. Others we know said it improved so we went back. Waited about 30 minutes after we sat. Not even a acknowledged that we were there. Noticed that most if the tables which had customers we still waiting for food. read more

This was our first time trying this place and we loved it! Great outdoor atmosphere with live music that is loud enough to hear but quiet enough to actually talk to each other. The food was fantastic, a mix of Greek and Italian with good pricing and terrific flavor! Our server Michael was great! Even when it got busy he literally was running back to our table to handle our requests and even managed time to take a picture or two for us! Highly recommend!! read more

Been here twice now and yet to be disappointed. Great atmosphere outside with the live music. Delicious veal Parmesan and rigatoni carbonara. My fiancé swears by the seafood linguine. And did I mention the Mediterranean sampler? The gyro meat alone makes it worth it. Plenty of wine to go around. It is some of the best food Mount Dora has to offer. read more

This was the first time in Mount Dora with my mom and stopped at Olive Branch when we heard live music. The guy playing was amazing and the only reason we were okay waiting. The service was terrible, everyone else who had different servers than us got their food quickly. Our server never came over to check on us and was slow on getting anything out. The other servers were giving bread which we did not get or even told about. When we told the manager about the service, his response was that everyone came at once and it was just whichever server got to the bread bowl first. The manager said they were waiting for the bread to get out of the oven and then 10 minutes later proceeded to bring us the bread which was cold and not even baked just cut. The woman waitress there was amazing and made sure we got our drinks. Great Espresso Martinis and definitely needed to make it through this dinner. After almost an hour later we got our food which was the worst Italian food we ever had. It was bland and even cold. My mom and I were very disappointed from the service, the manager/owner's attitude, and the food. I love Mount Dora but will not be coming here again. It gets a one star because of the great music and the woman waitress otherwise I'd give this place a zero star. read more

It was our first time here, we were looking for a nice restaurant for our anniversary. The place was nice and great live music(Stephen Currence was awesome!) the food was ok. We got fetuccini alfredo with jumbo shrimps(ahh... I will try something else next time), Mediterranean style pork chops( well seasoned and good taste), mojitos( super good) and black and white bow tie pyramid (delicious). We had the most amazing lunch here. My partner and I got to catch up with some old friends from out of town while enjoying bottomless mimosas on Sunday. George was our server and the service was excellent. We would return just to see him again, but the food was also excellent. Everything was delicious and amazing. Highly recommend. read more

This was our first visit. We found the service and food was great. It was a great day out side so we wanted out side seating. We had a great table in their Gazebo. The server was helpful and attentive . I had a daily special which was a Prime Rib sandwich which was delicious I especially loved the Artesian roll the sandwich was served on. The Fries were fried with a tasty batter that I will be back for. They have evening live music on weekends which would make for a great atmosphere. read more

We chose this restaurant to enjoy the sunset over Lake Dora on their outdoor patio, but the experience was ruined by a manager that would stand up to a cigar smoking squatter! We were about to be served out entries when this obnoxious man walked in and sat himself down next to us and just outside the main door (did not get seated by the hostess) and lit a huge cigar. One of us went in and asked for the manager, explained what was happening to the hostess, and returned to our seat. The hostess arrived just as our meals were arriving and said we could move inside!!! Never said anything to the man smoking!! Aren't restaurants to be non-smoking?? Our plates were too hot to carry so we flagged down our waiter to help us move! So much for customer service and a beautiful sunset viewing evening was ruined. Our appetite was gone, and the food was mediocre at best, so we will not return and we will not recommend Olive Branch Mediterranean-Italian Restaurant to anyone. read more

Visited Mt Dora for their annual lighting of their Christmas tree, and we stop at Olive Branch for dinner. We sat outside and people watched while waiting for our food. The food was in the bland side, but a touch of salt fix it. They'll let you split your entree with an up charge which is not bad. Service was not bad. They were busy that night, but it could have been worst. Overall not bad. read more

If you have ever been to Greece and like their gyro meat, do not eat here. Frozen gyro meat shaped like turkey bacon. Tastes horrible, texture of pate. I asked for salad without dressing got one doused with way too much. Italian ravioli was not much better. Cheese raviolis were smothered with way too much Ragu type sauce. Like they were covering up the frozen raviolis. We won't be back. read more

A wonderful date night place. Nice potato soup starter and the Mediterranean salad was very good. I had the best lasagna I have ever had here tonight. Just excellent! I mean 'oh my' excellent. I do have to say, the 4-shrimp shrimp cocktail for $15 was too pricey for me, but that aside the cocktail sauce was very tasty and matched the shrimp perfectly. The chicken broccoli was a little bland and its gluten free pasta a bit overdone. Orange-lemon sorbet was a perfect ending. read more

We spent a day in Mt. Dora and dropped by the Olive Branch for lunch. From start to finish, it was an exceptional experience. Insanely good French onion soup and warm pita with hummus were the perfect way to start. We had a combination of specials and menu items for our mains (the spinach pie was amazing). The food was absolutely delicious, wonderful, amazing, and tasted fantastic. The chef was the owner and boy can he cook. Homemade sauces, dressings, and prepared dishes from out of this world! I had the Rigatoni Primavera. My wife had the Egg Plant Parmesan. If you order a salad before dinner, be sure to request the home made Italian dressing. It's so delicious, this was THE best Italian dinner I have had in way to many years! And that includes traveling our country, and our Italy trip! We drove up from Clearwater Beach to visit Mount Dora and to do so shopping and stuff. Their prices were very reasonable and priced right in the ballpark. Bland!!!!! Ordered friend calamari, meatball pizza and kids cheese pizza. Pizzas came on a paper plate. I'm sorry, this is a sit down restaurant. I expect real plates. The pizzas were not hot. You could tell the cheese hadn't even melted all the way. There was so much sauce that all the toppings just slid off. The tomato sauce was so watery. The meatball pizza didn't even have meatballs. Just ground up meat. Besides being cold, they were flavourless. We didn't eat more than a bite. The fried calamari had almost no seasoning or flavour. Some of the pieces had a weird pink color I've never seen with fried calamari. This place was packed. Did everyone else get shitty food or do they just not have taste buds? Service was also bad. No one came to check on us. Had to wave down staff after many attempts to get someone's attention. read more

If I could separate the olive branch lunch menu from the dinner menu, I would have two different ratings. The lunch menu is a 5/5. The chicken salad is filly and delicious. The specials have always been worth it. It's a nice place to sit and have a Moscow mike, eat a great lunch and people watch outside. The dinner menu is more of a 3+/5. The food is more expensive and feels mass produced. It for some reason is not as flavorful as the lunch menu. read more

Great place and food. I gave it four stars because it was really loud inside and outside. They placed us near the bar and it was louder there. It was so loud inside we couldn't even talk. Service was decent. The waiter forgot about us. He was nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Food was not bad. I think it was high for what we got. They have to pay the high rent of being in Mount Dora. If you want a peaceful night out pass on this place. So to start out, we made reservations at 5:30 October 10, requesting outside seating and was greeted right away and seated. That was as far as our service got. We sat for 20 plus minutes and was hoping someone would at least take our drink order. There was a table of I think 8 and 1 couple and a gentleman which were done with meals and had their bills, so it was just us and the group outside. I observed waitstaff coming and going to the table of 8 or so and one waitress came out two different times and looked at their table having to walk by us but not doing anything for them or us and walked back inside. The kicker came when another couple with 2 children were seated at about 20 minutes later, then had their drinks served and then their order was taken, totally ignoring us. We were dressed nice, obviously looked as if we could pay for a meal, well behaved etc, but was totally ignored as if we weren't there. We called another restaurant up the street and made reservations and promptly left. We were seated immediately had drinks and dinner within 23 minutes and their patio was full. The Olive Branch had our phone number from the reservation and no apology or explanation came later. read more

I went there yesterday with my mother and can't say enough positive things. First they were very clean, there was hand sanitizer at the table and cleaning wipes. The servers all had masks and everyone practiced social distancing. The food is always delicious there. We had the pasta with the pink sauce and lots of food leftover for later. Thank you so much. Absolutely fabulous! We had a very large group (30 people). Waitstaff handle everything without a problem. We arrived and were given time to enjoy a drink & socialize. Great find in Mt. Dora. We were in town on a Monday, so several recommended restaurants were closed, which led us to Olive Branch. It was crowded when we arrived, but it had just stopped raining, and they were seating people out under the gazebo (which would have been fine in the rain, too, I suppose). Anyway, we were seated immediately. The service was prompt and kind, and the ravioli was fantastic. They even had live music! Excellent spot. read more
