I cannot say enough good things about Mark and MZ Remodeling Construction…read more I had a little bit of damage in my kitchen and had initially reached out to a different company (two different companies). The first estimate given (by the other company) was 4500 for just the demo, the second was 3500 (again, just for the demo), I had endless calls with different people through these two companies, it was so frustrating and it felt as though I could never get a straight answer (even something as basic as what would the timeline be, should we go through insurance, is this even necessary because it doesn't look that bad, it doesn't look like 4500 of demo). When I called Mark, he came out within like one business day, talked me through what to do and gave me advice that amounts to like less then $100 of fixes I can DO MYSELF (and they're not even hard). I offered to pay Mark for his time, and he was like it's fine. I have NEVER MET a more thorough and honest person within remodeling and construction.

It can be an uneasy time as you are putting your trust in someone before you can truly build a strong working relationship. Through my recent experience with Taylor at Shoreline, he put all these fears to rest and exceeded all my expectations from Day 1 for our new build in Capo Beach. Taylor's strengths shine where you need them the most - Honesty, Timeliness, Communication, Craftsmanship and Budget Control. Taylor consistently had crews and sub-contractors working on the project ensuring that any work that could be done that day, would get done that day. His communication was excellent as he manages expectations, shares ideas and provides timelines when decisions should be made while providing you options and walking through any decision - big and small. He truly puts your best interest before anything, coordinates all aspects of the project from start to finish and goes to bat for you in areas that many GC's would not consider it their responsibility to do so. Additionally, he provides budget updates in an outlined, color coded spreadsheet that helps you visualize the project from inception and adjusts the working budget as the project progresses. One Taylor's qualities we pulled on the most was his eye for craftsmanship and finishing ideas on a variety of project details. Additionally, the Shoreline team is tremendously nice and considerate when working on your project and I could tell they have been empowered to go above and beyond any expectations or last-minute requests I had. Taylor is passionate about his work and it clearly translates in how he conducted his work and worked with us on our new home.

This company is the absolute best! They took on a job at my house that over two dozen other…read morecontractors had looked at and could not figure out. My garage would flood when it rained heavily. The water was seeping/bubbling up through the concrete floor. Unfortunately,I spent a total of 20K on two other contractors before hiring Alpha. The work done by the first two contractors failed completely. When Damien from Alpha Structural initially came over, I knew I was in good hands right away. He is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and professional. I would say the same about Brian and Nadir, who were the leads on my job. Brian especially, went above and beyond. Anytime I reached out to him he responded immediately, and was on site whenever I needed him. My garage was a nightmare scenario. I contacted just about every contractor who works on this kind of thing, from LA to San Diego. Not one of them could figure it out. Not one. This went on for 2 years. Alpha Structural took on a very tough job, and did what no other company could. They completely solved my garage flooding problem with a very strategic and comprehensive plan. Do yourself a favor and use this company! Don't waste time with others. Alpha Structural won't let you down.

I knew enough about construction and engineering to seek professional input and reached out to Alpha Structural. They were pretty booked out, however when I explained the gravity of the problem (people in a home office below the tub area), Franchesca worked her magic and got me an appointment in 2 days. Damien showed up promptly at the 9 Am start time. We walked around the property while I explained my concern, and noted several other possible issues. Damien was extremely through, asking numerious questions and providing input and advice along the way. He took the time to explain causes for the different issues and was personable, professional and extremely helpful. Luckly for me, my problems traced back to normal settling, a recent solar panel and roofing job and normal aging. It's no wonder why Alpha has so many 5 star reviews- They absolutitly deserve every one of those. I only wish other businesses were as well run, and with such amazing people like Damien and Franchesca.

After reaching out to Top Quality Roofing, Shane came out to assess the damage. He was thorough, identifying over 80 broken tiles--far more than I had noticed--along with several hairline cracks. He also recommended replacing a damaged skylight, which was a great catch. What really stood out was his expertise and honesty. He has direct connections with roof tile distributors, which allowed for a fair price, and he was able to preserve most of my original roof tiles, replacing only the ones that were broken rather than pushing for a full roof replacement. The work was completed efficiently in just a day and a half. I truly appreciate that this is a family-owned business. Shane's father, James, has been roofing in South Orange County since the late 80s, and it's clear they take pride in their work. They are well-known in our community for their integrity and quality.
