Right when I walked in Jodi was talking to me about her divorce and trouble Groupon was having with MassageBook. I asked if it was still okay I used my Groupon and she agreed. She talked with me until 9:15 so I assumed she'd start the time after that. I laid down and massage started at 9:20. She sat on a rolling stool next to the bed, had a podcast on so loud I could hear it through her headphones, and applied absolutely no pressure. I thought she was warming up but never did anything more than just rub my body down with lotion. She rolled my underwear down a little lower so the bed sheet would be tucked in and held down. To top it all off she ended at 10:02. So this was a 42 minute, lotion rub down. I tipped her 20% based on the original, not Groupon, massage price because I am a bigger person than Jodi. My recommendation is that if this business doesn't want to give the same quality of massage for Groupons, choose NOT to sell the Groupons. I've seen a handful of reviews about Jodi "applying as much pressure as a toddler" on Groupon and Google. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND.

But even when I could afford it I had stage fright. The thought of someone new seeing the damage I did over the years kept me from going. My daughter, who has beautiful healthy hair, finally convinced me to go see her personal colorist/stylist Megan. My daughter did pageants as a teen and had her hair done professionally at many well known salons. Now that she's an adult and truly wants the best for her hair, she chooses and recommends Megan. I can understand why. Megan is very kind and considerate. She takes time to listen to your thoughts and hair goals. She offers tips and recommends products to help keep your hair healthy. She uses high-quality products that make my hair look, smell, and feel great. I asked about the specific pen being used and the needle depth, which I thought were pretty standard things people look into before getting this treatment. The woman who answered the phone (I believe her name started with C) immediately made the question sound "weird" and said she had never heard anyone ask that before. When I asked about the pen, she avoided giving a clear answer and just said "it's not a pen from Amazon or something." The conversation felt unnecessarily uncomfortable and dismissive, especially considering this is an academy where clients should feel comfortable asking questions about procedures. I would have expected a more professional and helpful response.

It is a bit awkward, but the coverage is amazing. I had a very even tan that lasted about a week (except for my face which is understandable). Because I was new to having a person do this I needed them to slow down a bit in giving instructions but I've since booked 2 more appointments with shine because I am happy with the outcome. It does not appear this location has weekend hours but their legacy one does so I am sure I will bounce around a bit.
