Oh, I wish I'd read James C.'s review ahead of time. I went to the Olga's Kitchen in the Meridian Mall in Okemos. In my defense, I was waiting for a movie, I was hungry, and I didn't really want anything deep fried. Besides, I'd never heard of Olga's Kitchen and I admit I was intrigued. When the food came, I was completely bewildered. My vegetarian sandwich was a kind of pita pocket (sorry, "Olga bread") filled with tinned Asian vegetables such as water chestnuts, no sauce, and a side of.... yogurt. Undoubtedly one of the weirdest combinations I've ever had. And no - it wasn't very good. read more

I ordered the original Olga with a cup of broccoli soup and a side of the curly fries. The broccoli soup was warm and had broccoli and cream and apparently nothing else. It needed lots of salt and pepper added. As for the Olga.... The Gyro meat tasted like Kronos brand pre frozen slices that you can get at any cheap Coney Island or Greek diner in Michigan so that was not really anything to rave about. The bread for the olga was soft and warm as other people have mentioned. the tomatoes were fresh the onion almost non existent and for some reason lettuce was served on the side as a garnish rather than being in the sandwich. The olga sauce on the sandwich appeared to be just greek yogurt. The curly fries.....They were not crispy, or soggy, or greasy. They just sort of were warm potato things with lots of pepper on them. But they tasted good with catsup so there is that. They offer free refills on drinks which is great because the glass is 90% ice and you just paid $2.00 for it! In summery the food is okay. The service is okay. Lunch for one set you back $12.00 It's the kind of place I would go back to if I had a gift card or a coupon. read more

Olga's is a good place for lunch, quick and always good- service is friendly too! They have a greek menu with also many other american choices as well. The soup, salad and snackers combo is the nest deal- can you say ALL YOU CAN EAT?!?!?! The iced tea is great too! read more

Love Olga's...always have. I hate the Frandor store. The food and service is wonderful, but the place is freezing!! The minute Spring hits their air conditioning becomes a freezer. So cold, the food is cool in a matter of minutes. We asked about it at the front register, but were told that they must keep it cold or otherwise moisture gathers on the slate floors and they are afraid of a slip/fall accident. Please Olga...do something about the floors so the patrons can eat in comfort and not have to gobble their food and hurry on out to warm up. read more

Every Olga's I've been to has made me feel sick. The food is bad. The place is dirty and sticky.

Excellent service. Delicious food. Got the regular Olga sandwich and iced tea. Server friendly and efficient. She even offered to give us to go cups for our tea. Lovely restaurant. I wish there were more of them near where I live. read more

I like the original Olga with fries. Their ice tea is good also and if I remember correctly they have an orange drink that is creamy as well as delicious. read more

We have been to this Olga's several times. The food is usually pretty good. However, the service has been pretty spotty - sometimes a great server, sometimes not. The last time we stopped here was in mid-November 2012. We were seated quickly, but then did not see a server for 20+ minutes. I kid you not. I had stacked the menus on top of each other vertically (like a house of cards), trying to get a server's attention, with no luck. As a previous reviewer had mentioned, the room was quite cold, & we were far from the door. This isn't all that convenient of a place to get to, so I hesitate to even order carry-out now. Their parking lot is impossible, as it is shared with a large sports bar. Frustrating, because I love Olga's food. read more

Tried to order online at Olga's while watching the basketball game with my friends, ordered 3 Olga's and 2 salads and 2 sides, when the food arrived, the salads and the sides were the only thing that sat in the bag. We had to drive back to the restaurant Again to get our wraps. Not a big fan of this, I'm a huge Olga's fan but this really hurt. It'll be a while before I come back. read more

Love Olga's! It's conveniently located which makes it a frequent lunch spot for me. You have to order the snackers!

My grandchildren were here from Atlanta, GA for Christmas and we also were celebrating my grandson's early January birthday. The only thing he wanted was to eat at Olgas since they don't have them where he lives. We had a party of twelve and was told it would be a little wait since they had to put tables together and set up. After a more than a "little wait", we were told that no server would wait on a table of twelve. Our name was put off to the side of the wait list and many people that came after were seated before us. There was no effort to accommodate us like split in two groups or two waiters for one table. We finally just left and went to a place where we were welcome. It must be nice to have so much business you can treat customers rudely and turn them away with no concern. Thanks Olgas for ruining my grandson's birthday dinner. We will not be back ever and will tell all of our friends of this terrible experience. read more

Although the food was good, I am very disappointed in the overall service. My boyfriend and I went there specifically because it says online that they accept Spartan cash, and hey, we're college students. We asked the girl at the front desk if they did accept it (just to make sure) and she confirmed yes. After we had finished our entire meal, our server tells us that they do NOT accept Spartan cash. We asked why it says differently online and according to our server, the company, despite being told to change it numerous times, has not done so. We also spoke to a manager, and although both the manager and server were friendly, neither offered any solution whatsoever--no free appetizer, no coupon, NOTHING. We will not be going back because we like honesty along with our meals. read more

The waitress did not introduce herself to my dinner companion and myself. Did not follow up on how our meal was. Finally, over heard and offer another customer if they wanted dessert but did not offer us dessert. The waitress took a long time to come back to us, and we flagged another waitress to cash us out. When finally, the waitress grabbed the bill from the other waitress and made a scene. It was very uncomfortable. Alerted the manager Kelly about it on our way out and was offered two free olga sandwiches in the future. However, I won't be back in the state until May. I can see why have been closing stores. Terrible service and I was just getting take out. I had a simple order, grilled chicken olga with just cheese and olga sauce. It took forever and they were not busy at all when I came in. I really got to sit and watch and see what a train wreck the staff was. When I finally got my order I just knew and it wasn't going to be right and it wasn't. They didn't put anything at all on it. I wasn't mad I just took it back up and ask if they just throw some cheese and olga sauce on it and I would be on my way. NOPE, instead of just fixing the olga by adding cheese and sauce, the manager made the girl come back out and get the receipt they staple to the bag with your order on it to PROVE they had made a mistake. Are you freaking kidding me, you need to PROVE who's mistake it is. So if it had been mine were they not going to add cheese and sauce? SMH read more
