A Local Distillery up the road from our LoveNest? Awesome. We love bringing our friends in to do tastings on the last Friday of each month! It's $15 for a flight and you get a personalized group tour through each spirit. If it weren't for tasting 6 types of their 94 proof on avg spirits I'm sure I could tell you the names of the guys we had the pleasure of meeting! haha We met the creator of all the fine spirits! He was very laid back and eager to tell us about the processes and flavors he added to his unique creations. Blade Gin was my gateway into being a Gin Lover. I love Blade chilled with a touch of zest of lemon. Another interesting Gin we got to try is his new AGED Gin called Rusty Blade. It's an amber color and tastes like Christmas in a glass! It most certainly warms you from the inside out. I had to shake my head pretty hard to get back to reality after that one. The Absinthe is another wonderful and favored experience. If you're nice they will even let you FAIRIE up your own glass. I love watching my Faeries clouding up the glass. Then that special touch of Lemon Zest again and I'm on Cloud 9. We bought a few bottles this time to give as festive Christmas gifts. Our guests even surprised us with a bottle of Blade (SNEAKY THEY ARE!!) that night when we got back to our place. Apparently I had raved enough about it that they just knew it would make a great host gift as Thankyou for their stay with us over the Holiday weekend. We love going here and will certainly return again over and over. I've never stopped in on a Saturday, but I just might have to check it out. Perhaps the VIP service I already feel like we get there when it's crowded might just put the experience right over the top? Old World Spirits can enter my temple anytime...

I love trying Distillery's as they are creating great new spirits. Per the website for Old World Spirits you had to make a reservation and pay $16 a per person for a tour and tasting. We arrived a little early for our "tour". There was a large group of people there for a tasting so we were told to join the current group. There was no tour, just a tasting. John (I believe that was his name) was a bit overwhelmed with the large group of people. He was there by himself. He was great with our group and answered our questions about the different spirits we tried. The gin was decent (I enjoy Bourbon/Whiskey more but enjoyed trying the absinthe. The tasting area is pretty small so can't hold too many people all at once. Met some nice people while tasting. Not sure about paying $16 to taste since there was no tour but John did a great job with dealing with our group and another large group that was coming in after us.

    r. The clear is still good though, especially if you aren't a fan of the strong herbal flavor usually found in absinth

This is such a great hidden gem for an awesome day!…read more Go check out the tasting room and make sure to stop and test out all the amazing spirits! Once you've tested them all to make an educated decision on your favorites (of course), you can buy a bottle to bring home for later - they even sell blueberry lemonade by the bottle! Make sure to go blueberry picking at Victoria farms (they share a lot) and bring home some of the best blueberries with it to make some awesome homemade blueberry concoctions! We love the indoor/outdoor open air vibe and while the bathrooms are port o potties, at least they have restrooms and places to wash hands and they aren't ever super dirty! It can get crowded parking wise but they do have an overflow lot which isn't too far of a walk which is nice. We've made a habit out of coming at least once a year and will continue to!

It was the beginning of the everlasting tule fog we've been having and it was chilly Jasmine was so kind to make us a couple of hot totties using their in in house infused honey. I definitely recommend booking a tour and tasting Tim started us out and then Danny one of the owners walked us through their story, their inspiration and the whole process it really was an experience and I'm sure going to bring some whiskey fans. Oh and Best gin I've had in my life! The club seems like a great deal especially if you are a local ;) We took home several bottles of spirits and some honey... time to go back, pick some blueberries and try some blueberry lemonade vodka refreshing drinks!

After that introduction, I've been a huge fan and supporter even since. Blink and you'll miss it; it just looks like another warehouse from the side of the road. And, well, it is! This where the action happens and the bottles are born, you're just lucky enough to be invited inside. Unpretentious, chill, and down to earth. It's even dog-friendly so everyone's welcome here. I've loved everything I've tried, from whiskey to gin, but the sassafras liqueur is really something special. I don't know of a single other example on the legal market. Don't leave without at least giving it a shot, literally!

Hidden gem located in Pacifica. Was Yelping breweries in the area and Tripp distillery came up in…read morethe search, looked like a unique experience so knew we had to give it a try! Tasting was offered/lead by Jason, the owner/spirit maker. They offered a you-choose flight of 3 with about 8 different liquors to pick from. They had all the ones pictured on the board as well as a couple that hadn't quite made full production yet. Between my boyfriend and I's flights we were able to taste 6. Went with rum, brandy, sassafras, a red vodka not on the list, a special blue lotus flower gin, and the single malt whiskey. The liquors tatsted great and it was a lot of fun talking with Jason about how he makes the different spirits. Can't wait for that blue lotus flower gin to be available for purchase! We didn't spend a long time here as it was a 3 taste max, but it was a fun little pit stop on our day. The entrance was a little hidden, but we saw the sign and knew we were headed in the right direction. There's no real big front entrance, just their name on a door letting you know they're there. Almost felt like a speakeasy since it was so un-showy. Street parking is available and plentiful.
