Stayed for one night in August to do some hiking and we needed a hotel that was pet friendly. Old Town Inn was the perfect blend of value, comfort and service. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was basic but comfortable and well kept. (They could upgrade the T.P. quality but maybe that's just me...) For a pricey town like Crested Butte, this place is a good value, and we would not hesitate to stay again! Also, nice supermarket directly behind the Inn for all your needs within easy walking distance. read more

This was my birthday trip. My mom set it up for me, she told Ben it was my birthday. All I can say is Ben left me a birthday card and chocolates, Matin was excellent for recommendations and Mamie was so helpful. Couldn't ask for a better hotel staff. Thank you guys for making my birthday extra special! You all deserve a big raise! read more

Amazing staff!! Great area, reasonable pricing and good light breakfast. Would stay here again!

It's a good value, clean, comfortable, and well kept in a town with not a lot of reasonably-priced choices. The ski shuttle is just around the corner and comes often, and being able to leave skis at Christy Sports overnight made it even easier. The afternoon cookies and all-day coffee/tea/cocoa are a nice touch, though the cookies run out fast. Breakfast is tasty but simple & carb-heavy: bagels, pastries, muffins, fruit, hardboiled eggs. The hotel is dog friendly, which can be a bit annoying since they don't seem to have any rule against leaving the dog. We stopped back for a bit around dinner time and there were dogs in two adjacent rooms constantly barking at each other. read more

I called the Old Town Inn today to book a couple of stays and was lucky enough to get Martin!! He was very kind and professional while absolutely taking care of me for the whole time I spoke with him! Can't wait to visit Crested Butte and thank him in person for meeting my needs for our upcoming stay! Thanks Martin! Victoria Bean read more

A wholesome spot in Crested Butte! The stay was wonderful with free breakfast in the morning. If you are staying here & want a decent place to stay, Old Town Inn is it! You are walking distance to the main area and close to the shuttle to take you to the ski resort. Highly recommend this quaint inn! read more

Very cute & charming! The staff is extremely friendly. Great price and dog friendly. Within walking distance of the downtown area. They also had free surface parking, which worked out great for our van. They also let us fill up our van with water. Much appreciated! Definitely recommend! read more

We really loved our stay at the Old Town Inn in Jan. 2024. We appreciated the friendly & helpful staff, being dog-friendly, and the continental breakfast. The location is great - just a few blocks walk from charming downtown Crested Butte and an upscale supermarket across the street. We appreciated having access to a microwave and hot water/coffee at all times so we could save money and heat up our own meals. I also enjoyed the hot tub after a long day XC skiing or snowshoeing. read more

I've stayed in a lot of motels in small towns, and this has to be one of the nicest I've ever stayed in. It's not new or trendy, but one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in, and The bathroom was spotless. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and The continental breakfast was good and presented with care. You can just tell that the owners, and people that work here really care about doing things right. My wife and I will definitely stay here again the next time we come to Crested Butte. read more

We had a clean comfortable room. there was a hot tub in a private area and a separate patio area with plenty of seating. Upon booking our room the staff member matched a price we saw on a separate website for a lower price. Most exceptional was a phone call we received after our stay regarding a ring left behind that had fallen out of my husband's bag. The helpful staff member verified our address and mailed the ring to our home. Above and beyond! Thank you for the great service. Wisconsin Traveler read more

This is a country old ski town mom and pop Inn. Upon arrival I received a warm cookie and a coffee/ tea. The room was simple and clean. I was reluctant but I took a chance for one night of sleep after a long day of skiing. There are 3 free city buses that run every 15 min. The bus stop is located be right be hide the Inn. It was a dog a dog friendly Inn at the low price of +/-$15 per dog. Thanks for the special dog treat. After skiing I was happy to see I was able to wash all clothing and gear. read more

Old Town Inn - Hotels Near Me - Crested Butte, Colorado

Location, location. Old Town Inn is the first lodging as you arrive in town and within easy walking distance to downtown. The arts center is located directly across the street and the small patio offers a gorgeous view of Mount Crested Butte. I requested a first floor room with 2 queen beds and easy access to our car because my wife seriously sprained her knee 2 weeks prior. My request was cheerfully accommodated and we thoroughly enjoyed our entire 3 night stay. Some of the many positives of staying here in addition to location include a) reasonable pricing, b) onsite washer/dryer, c) friendly staff, d) clean rooms, e) afternoon cookies, f) continental breakfast, g) courtesy bikes, and h) air conditioning. read more

Great place to stay. Conveniently located. Within walking distance to downtown. Rooms were very quiet and the continental breakfast was wonderful. Staff is very pleasant and knowledgeable about the town. Highly recommend. read more

Checked in last night and the inn was exactly as advertised. It's simple however I'm here to ski, not spend time in my room. All I need is a clean room, decent bed, a hot tub and a quiet space. The Old Town Inn hits all those notes. It's location is super convenient, short drive to town that I'd walk in the summer. I can see the town bus stop outside my window which faces the grocery store out the back. It's a one min walk and I'll be on it shortly on my way to the mountain. The breakfast was tasty and better than I expected for a free continental brekky. Cosmo at the front desk was very friendly and helpful; gave me suggestions on where to go for dinner and an affordable happy hour for apres today. read more

We are so happy we found this comfortable, cute and affordable place in Crested Butte. It has great views, staff and value. Good location for the town too. Nice breakfast, coffee, afternoon cookies too. We had a good night. read more

Your typical motel. Kind of quaint and relaxing rooms. HOWEVER, DO NOT GET ON THE FIRST FLOOR!!! The walls and ceiling are very thin so if you're on the first floor you will hear every single footstep of the people above. And it's LOUD. There's seriously no noise insulation so I constantly heard foot steps from several rooms and finally had to ask to be moved to the second floor. Other than that I had a pleasant stay while I was stranded in crested butte because my car broke down. read more

Friendly staff, downtown CrestedButte, drive or take bus to the mountain. The Flatirons sports keeps your skis close to the slopes for free---big plus! Close to shopping and restaurants. We had a king size bed, nice TV, a 2-top table and chairs in the room, temp was comfortable. Price was great and includes free breakfast. There may be some deer visitors, saw their tracks in the parking lot! The room was dark, it was quiet. They have a hot tub. The coffee is great and breakfast is good. read more

Lovely hotel! Reasonably priced and comfy! Not a lot of extras but the breakfast was great and coffee and cookie break unexpected pluses! Highly recommended read more

We're always in Crested Butte, Colorado to mountainbike. I got a deal in groupon so we stayed here in Old Town Inn. They're very pet friendly and their breakfast is yummy. I just got this feeling that they're not as friendly as the Nordic Inn that we've stayed at before because we're the groupon customers. Other than that I would stay here again because of our pets , proximity to town, restaurants and biking trails. Camp4coffee all day and cookies in the afternoon. I really don't care about their snottiness I didn't go to cb to socialize but to bike anyway. read more

I spent three wonderful nights and two pow filled days in Crested Butte this week. I enjoyed my stay at Old Town Inn where I slept like a rock in a comfortable bed after enjoying their hot tub each night. The room was clean and I was treated to free breakfast and coffee each morning. There's a sign out front that says, "Welcome Friends" and the staff and the owners, Sandy and Michael, treat you like you're a friend who's come to visit. I found the whole vibe in CB warm and friendly and am grateful for the kindness of strangers, from the hard core locals and patrollers who took laps with me to the Spring Breakers from Texas who shared their apres time with me. This was my first trip to CB, but it won't be my last...and I'll definitely be staying with my friends at Old Town Inn. read more

Old Town Inn - Where's the crust? All I saw was pow! - Hotels Near Me - Crested Butte, Colorado

Old Town Inn is everything you'd expect from a small town inn and more. A little small. A little old. A little worn around the edges. But it's big on warm, friendly service and has a surprisingly decent continental breakfast with a fair amount of protein, not just carbs and sugar galore. Not a bad pit stop for when you're traveling across Colorado. read more

I came back to the Old Town in ten years after my first time in CB, and it's still amazing. It's a family-run place with genuinely fantastic customer service. There is a nice community patio, movie theatre and market right across the street, walking distance to "The Bench" which is a scenic spot overlooking CB. Coffee all day is a great perk. The location is really nice as well. It's close to Kebler Pass, which leads to Grand Junction, Salt Lake, and the rest of the west. This hotel offers the ideal warmth of an indie hotel in a small mountain town. It's unique in all good ways. read more

Super cute hotel in a fantastic location (walkable to all of Main street attractions!)! The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is amazing! The free breakfast, free bikes and afternoon cookies are the perfect additions that put this hotel above and beyond the rest! I will be back soon! read more

The hospitality we experienced this past weekend at Old Town Inn was wonderful. We were in town for the Crested Butte Ultra; the Inn is a five-minute walk from the current course start line. Thoughtful touches including coffee and a hearty continental breakfast every morning, fresh baked cookies in the afternoon (snickerdoodles were my favorite), a well maintained hot tub, and smiling, friendly staff were so appreciated. We typically stay in Airbnbs when we travel, but will definitely choose to stay at Old Town Inn again on our next visit to CB. It's completely accessible by foot to all the restaurants, shops, and bars of downtown. Thank you Old Town Inn for a lovely stay! And for providing us runners Camp 4 coffee extra-early on race day :) read more

This little inn is amazing. Rooms are clean, nice little continental breakfast, dog friendly and the staff is super courteous! We were here for a ski competition at crested Butte resort. My son had a head/neck injury and I had to go to the Gunnison Valley ER. The hotel staff was willing to watch my dog while I took care of my son, not knowing how long I would be gone. They were so accommodating, one less thing for me to worry about. Thank you!!! read more

Solid 4 stars. The sign out front says it all: "Economy + Comfort". However, "economy" is relative to CB prices; at over $100/night, it's definitely not a budget motel. Staff are wonderful- friendly + helpful- and the rooms are clean + basic (thin towels, slight mildew around tub, small bathrooms, not much sink space for toiletries), and more pleasant than your typical Days Inn-type room. In other words, I liked spending time inside my room, as opposed to most budget motels, where I only go back to the room to sleep. Though my room faced the street, I slept well and wasn't woken by outside noise (I'm usually a light sleeper). Minimal noise from neighboring rooms, but hallway noises can get loud (guests talking, housekeeping, etc.). There's a small outdoor hot tub that's nice after a day of hiking, when it's available (empty of other guests). One washer/dryer next to the ice machine downstairs (quarters!!!), as well as one desktop computer. Free wi-fi. No fridge/microwave. I decided to skip the free breakfast because not much appealed to me: oatmeal packets, bananas, English muffins/bagels, small danishes/muffins, quiche. The free cookies 3:30-5:30 were also hard to access because they were usually all gone by the time I got back to the hotel. I really liked being an 8-10 min walk from CB's main drag, with its restaurants + shops. The grocery store + movie theater (3 movies a night) is an even shorter walk away. The hotel is also right across the street from the Center for the Arts, which is great if you want to catch a concert. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever come back to CB. read more

Loved our experience here. Best rates in Crested Butte, clean rooms, best location, great service, & breakfast. Martin at the front desk was the best. read more

The staff is friendly, breakfast is great, there's a hot tub. Also, there's a wonderful black lab that is behind the counter at the front desk named Luke, who is a sweet sweet dog! It's a comfortable, laid back, friendly atmosphere. The only downside is rooms look like a basic hotel/motel with no character or charm but the beds are comfy. Priced at an affordable point. shuttle bus to the mountain. And it's walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shopping. They have a refrigerator, microwave, and toaster you can use in the lobby. I don't know, I just like it here- there's a good vibe. read more

We always stay here when visiting CB. A super friendly staff, easy location and reasonable rates plus loaner bikes! Only reason I didn't go five star is because it's an older place and tighter quarters than a newer, modern hotel, none of which is important to us. Kids are safe and the dogs are welcome, we'll definitely return. read more

The rooms were clean, comfortable and homey. The Inn is conviniently located within walking distance of the Elk street where all shops and restaurants are located. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast had a good vriety of options including quiche, which was my favorite. read more

THis place gets 5 stars on the warm inviting service! Baking cookies for the guest, that always make the check in process more fun. As far as accommodations, it is clean and what I would expect from a small town inn, this will not be your 5 star 5 diamond hotel. But they do have a hot tube to soak those warn out muscles. Being from a small town, I love its location, it is easy to find and easy to walk everywhere. There is a giant field across the street to stretch those legs out and Clarks Market right behind to get some necessities. I thought it was price well for being a mountain town and with a free complimentary continental breakfast to boot. read more

Good hotel. Nothing too special to blow you way but perfect if you plan on spending your time outside and just want an affordable place to crash out. The front desk people are very sweet and helpful. They have a hot tub, which is sweet. I'd recommend if you want to save money and don't plan on spending much time in the room. And why would you!? You're in Crested freakin Butte! My friend and I came for a weekend of hiking and this place was perfect for our stay. Great location and within walking distance to absolutely everything except the longer hike we did, which was the Oh be Joyful Trail. Clean and affordable, they love dogs, have a hot tub, conveniently located, good vibes from the place.

This place is FANTASTIC! We're traveling across the country and thus far, the Old Town Inn is the best value for our money we found. Very friendly people, excellent free breakfast (a step or two above your traditional continental), top of the line jacuzzi, and even a dude who cleans the snow off your car after a big snow dump. The rooms are clean and nice, but it's the extra effort this place puts forth that makes it one of the best. read more
