He got our fountain running in no time and since he was here, we asked him to replace with GFI plugs. His work was completed in less than an hour and our fountain is beautifully peaceful again!! Jerry, with Old Time Electric, was over today to install a rather involved chandelier that we had purchased. Our appointment was for 8:00 and Jerry arrived very promptly at 8:00AM. My wife and I had done some "out of the box" work that did not involve hanging the chandelier from the ceiling. After the preliminary work we had done, I could not imagine how anyone was going to be able to get the chandelier to the ceiling, make the necessary wire connections, and secure the chandelier. Jerry did it all, with very little assistance. He was here for a total of 2 hours. We were very pleased with Jerry's work and attitude. The charges for the job were totally fair. We used Old Time Electric for a previous project & received prompt service. We scheduled in April for 2 fans to be installed in our enclosed AZ room when we returned Sept. 25th. Jerry called the day before to confim our appt. for the following am. 15 minutes before time to arrive , he called & left a message that he couldn't make it because of rain the night before. Seriously? He went on the say that he could reschedule for Oct or Nov. We made this appt 4 months in advance! Why would he put us out for several weeks because of weather? I'm very particular when it comes to finding professionals to perform work. While cost is always a factor, my primary criterion is quality. I've learned it's foolish economy not to hire the best, and use the best equipment. I've never been disappointed when I've followed that rule. So I'm pleased to post a review about Jerry at Old Time Electric. Today he fixed an outage, and he did it with consummate skill and professionalism. Not only that--when I first contacted him by phone about the problem, he immediately asked about GFIs, explaining that they were often the cause of this kind of outage. When he arrived, he quickly discovered the cause, and it was in fact a faulty GFI that I hadn't realized was out. Just as he predicted! Within an hour, he had tested all the circuit breakers, examined all six outlets affected, diagnosed the issue, and installed three new receptacles. All for a very reasonable price. So I highly recommend Jerry and Old Time Electric and give them a full five stars. I'm already planning to have them perform two more jobs for me. read more

I can't say anything about the work this electrician does, as he was far to rude and "mansplaining" on the initial phone conversation to advance the arrangement beyond that call. He apparently didn't like my statement that the electric fireplace I planned to install in a custom wall unit was not extraordinary or unusual and that Off the Wall had built units with this before. Well....that's as far as I got because he then launched into a several minute diatribe about how if he didn't do it correctly I would be calling him and that Off the Wall may be a great furniture builder but didn't know about electric circuit requirements, etc. None of those statements are incorrect....its only he wouldn't stop talking long enough to hear me say I could send him the specs of the fireplace. He talked himself into a frenzy and finally ended with "get yourself another electrician and have a nice day". Pretty ridiculous....maybe he had a bad day, but don't take it out on a new customer! read more

I had a front porch light was out, and I replaced the light sensor, but the light still didn't work. Jerry came out and replaced the light switch and everything is working great. Jerry is very professional, and completed the job quickly at a reasonable price. Will contact Jerry when more electrical work is needed. read more

Don't hire him. He became agitated and hostile during the project and walked out. He changed out one outlet - which is pretty basic. If that is all you need and you don't mind rude and condescending - this is your guy. Jerry doesn't like questions at all! He doesn't install anything that requires the internet to function and he is not agile enough to do anything complicated. He cancelled twice before finally showing up - and he was a jerk when he arrived. He should not be in business. Zero stars is too many stars. read more
