From the people who answer their phones and schedule services, to the technicians, to the managers, they're all great. This most recent time I had an issue with the price of my service, and management reached out to me immediately, talked me through my issue, and I had my problem resolved quickly. They clearly take pride in their service levels, and have a mom & pop shop feel for that reason. I'd recommend this company to anyone.

About three weeks later I was still trying to get a hold of them, but they never responded. I reached out again to my Home Warranty company. I finally threw such a fit that my Home Warranty Recommended a new company a month later. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior. They never returned my emails or calls nor did they respond to the Home Warranty company. Go with SPE Electrical instead!!

Modern Electric took 15 minutes to test various outlets and the microwave and I'm not kidding, the charge was 1/10 of what Volt charged. I cannot recommend Modern Electric enough. We have now been without AC for 4 days. We have contacted them numerous times, as our units should still be under warranty. They have not even bothered to return any of our calls. We can't believe how much the company has deteriorated.

I was not told up front that Kevin had retired and moved out of state and that his son , Joey now runs the business. Joey is very disorganized. He doesn't return calls, he is late showing up, one day he dropped off unqualified trainees to work and left them unsupervised. I had to call the office and have them taken off the job. Joey often complained to me about how many calls he gets every day and how busy he is and how he has long time customers that need him. I felt like I was placed at the end of the list behind the "bigger" jobs.. I have since compared prices with other electricians and realized that Joey charged considerably more than other electricians would have charged. I hope Joey gets his act together, as he is a very nice guy. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this business.

During that period, more than 6 well-intentioned electricians, including from Angie's list and TEP, stopped by to render their sage opinions, estimates and and sympathy, each of their guesses being vastly different from the others. Two of them went to work right away, and the power went out again within moments of their departure. Then I found "Yelp! Services" and All City Electric, and my worries were over. Gary did an outstanding job, working quickly and efficiently, doing it right the first time, and being professional and courteous throughout. He called before he came over, and got right to work before I could finish asking, "Would you like...coff...?" He listened intently to my "story," answered my questions, and explained everything step by step. He finished up, cleaned up and charged his going rate which, upon reflection, is more than reasonable. Now I find myself looking for tasks only an electrician can do, so that Gary would return and demonstrate the same high level of competency, excellence and integrity (characteristics so rare in other journeymen) that he applied to the job. Thanks, All City Electric. I am very happy with Gary's work. Sheer mastery.
