Henry Rutgers is a true Old Stove "whisperer!" He saved our Christmas this year by coming at the right time to fix the oven (the main problem) in my 70 year old O'Keefe and Merritt gas range. He also fixed 2 old problems that were not as crucial, the broiler and a burner. You just have to contact him via e-mail and wait for his reply! Be patient if you have an old stove. He is worth waiting, as another group who sent someone quickly was not able to help, and another never replied at all about repairing an old stove. Thank you, Henry!

My 99% fully restored Wedgewood stove.

Doesn't follow through. No show twice so I gave up. Maybe he's too busy. Seems friendly over the phone.

Extremely knowledgeable about old Wedgewood stoves and really reasonable prices. Henry makes home visits and did a great job.

So as long as we can, we will keep our approximately 85 year old stove working and keep cooking on it and baking in its oven.

It was a no-pressure, informative approach that I appreciate when you're dealing with something you don't know anything about. Mark was calm, friendly, approachable and professional. He clearly explained and showed me what the issue was, how it happens, and how to properly maintain the dryer going forward. He cleaned up after himself (which I appreciate) and I was left with an almost new dryer! Hoping I won't need to but will definitely be reaching out again when the next appliance goes out!

He showed up when he said he would and communicated with me throughout. I am currently renting out my house and not residing there, so good communication was particularly important. He quickly diagnosed and repaired the dryer. The dishwasher was more complex. Again, he communicated with me on a regular basis. When it looked like the repairs would be expensive, he walked through the options with me and showed that a replacement would likely be the better choice, even though he would have made money off the repair. In the end, I did choose to replace it and Bo didn't charge me for the time he spent working on the dishwasher. I would definitely use Zuta again. Some of the qualities I liked about the experience was Bo's competence, honesty, reliability, good communication, and the quality of his work.

They took time to explain different options, helped us understand what would work best for our home, and answered all our questions without making us feel pressured. The installation itself was smooth and well organized. They arrived on time, protected the work areas, kept everything clean, and paid close attention to details. The quality of workmanship really stood out. After installation, they tested everything, walked us through the new system, and made sure we understood how to use it properly. Our home is now much more comfortable, airflow feels better, and the system runs quietly and efficiently. We're very happy with the results and would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable HVAC company.

Other companies didn't even bother asking. Basically, the oven temperature no longer consistent and fluctuates 50 degrees. This started after I was cleaning and my drip tray got caught on some wiring. After a 10-minute consultation, Vissal asked for the model number and once found, could set up the appointment. The next day I realized that even though I've had my Viking range 15 years (no longer under warranty) that it would be best to contact an Authorized Viking Repair company - I was referred to a company in San Jose. I texted Vissal that I was going another route and he quickly responded no problem. Friendly and professional customer service and thanks to Vissal for taking the time to work with me! It showed he really wanted to help which is much appreciated! Another 5-star review added to Top Tier Appliance Repair!

Top Tier was recommended by CBD the vendor I purchased a new washer and dryer from on 3/6/26. They…read moreinstalled the dryer where the washer connection was located and the washer where the dryer vent was so both appliances were 8" off the wall because of 6' long dryer vent hose. They started the dryer and it sounded like a cement mixer. They tried to fix it and could not and asked me if we had a toilet plunger!! Which apparently they were going to suction to the back of the drum to put in back in place. They could not fix the dryer and blamed it on Electrolux. Electrolux rep was called and said it was obviously damaged when they unloaded it from their truck so there was no warranty. When the Electrolux rep showed up he opened our laundry room door and it had a very strong smell of natural gas, it was discovered that in addition to damaging the dryer, installing them in the wrong pace they also put me and my family at risk. There is more, when they wheeled the washer on a dolly through our back door they broke a $615 Phantom Screen Door. Also, I had to pay a reputable appliance installer $400 to come and install the appliances correctly. I reached out to the owner of Top Tier and to go easy on him I asked that the $350 fee they that he billed to my Visa be refunded and if he would pay for the screen door, we would call it good. I absorbed the inconvenience for weeks and the $400 fee to do the install the appliance correctly. The Top Tier owner seems like a very nice guy on the phone and accepted my suggested settlement offer. For the last 5 weeks each time i call him he promises "my wife will drop it off next Tuesday", "I will drop it off personally Friday afternoon", "I will have my secretary send the check out tomorrow". CBD the appliance dealer will never recommend him again, I have disputed my Visa charge, I was going to report him the State Contractors License Board but as it turns out, he has no license. Monday I am filing a Small Claims suit against him for ALL of the charges. I am 80 years old and this guy took advantage of me and my wife and could have cost us our lives with the faulty gas connection. He is deceptive, a liar and flat out dangerous.

I called Matthew who patiently walked me through the process of locating reset buttons and adjusting misaligned tubes, fixing my issue over the phone, right there and then. I was aggravated, for we have had the range serviced several times, yet every year or two, new gas leaks would appear. I was getting ready to give up on having a vintage range, for though I had been promised that it was built like a tank and would work forever with maintenance, I was tired of paying for nearly annual visits to address new fails, each time after wondering for a couple of weeks if I was imagining the gas smell before calling PGE to verify that yes, I am smelling gas. On this visit Matt came out to fully address the repeated fails, far more thoroughly than my previous experiences. He ensured that quality parts were utilized, that the knobs were rigged so that they wouldn't cause fails, and ingeniously weighted the oven door so that it will stay fully open or shut; previously springs had been upgraded, but after a few months the door would creep partially open, so that oven temp couldn't be maintained. The stovetop and oven work better than they ever have in our 13 years of living here - the knobs turn smoothly, the gas comes out more fully and cleanly, the oven holds temperature, and best of all, no more gas leaks, and I believe that this time the repairs will hold, since Matt was so thorough. Matt said that he will stand by his work and ensure that this range continues to operate safely, which I appreciate, since I realized that at this time I'd really rather not have to re-wire the kitchen to accommodate an induction range.
