Stephanie, the…read moreproperty manager ensured that we would have a place to park for the long weekend and assured us it wasn't too late to make a reservation even though we did not reach out until the Tuesday Before. During our stay, the park hosted a cook out/BBQ in addition to a beautiful display of fireworks. What made Lucky Horseshoe stand out to us the most was no the location or amenities. It was the people. The residents were welcoming and while we had known several from other adventures, several took the time to introduce themselves and even bump elbows and tap shoes in greeting. The property manager, when not out on the property, was found three times in the patio she'd set up outside of her rig. She is as polite, friendly and approachable as the space she set up for herself. The park itself is carved out of a field with several young and mature cedar trees. The buildings are themed to the old west and their first two buildings have a draw to them that children will love. Other than the people, this park's best feature is the community garden which I missed taken pictures of. This is the first time I've seen something like this at an RV park and it's wonderful to see come into fruition. There is also a dog park which is great for our four legged friends. Some of the lot sizes are small and are definitely meant for smaller rigs. There are also many large and spacious sites that would well fit a full timer by not only providing a wonderful place to park, but also a generous space to set up outside living. As the park is carved out of a former field, you will want to spread diatomaceous earth on and around landing gear and jack stands, any place hoses or cables touch the ground and at the base of your stairs and wheels to ensure you don't get ants. This is definitely a community we found ourselves wanting to live in once our summer and fall travels have concluded. We even scoped out a few sites that we hope could be available in the future. The only draw back is that this park is currently cash/check only. As long as you are prepared for paper currency, you'll be all set.

Mixed Bag. Overall,…read morewe had a good experience. The neighborhood and amenities are very nice. The view from the second-story balcony for Independence Day fireworks is spectacular. The house is comfortable for six to seven adults. Communication was stellar until check-in time. Bill and Vanessa were very good via email and text before our arrival. Bill called us at around 1 pm to welcome us and tell us that "the house is ready". Check-in was at 3 pm. We arrived at 3:20 pm and found the cleaning crew was still there. We had to wait outside until 3:45 pm in 96-degree heat until they were done. Vanessa texted, "We will get you a gift card to the beach club grill for the inconvenience". The next morning, I texted Vanessa asking for an extra parking pass. I never heard back from her or Bill. No gift card. No parking pass. A few minor concerns with the property: nasty stains on the carpeting near the entry, GFCI outlets needing to be reset more than once, only one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, and a nest of red wasps living under the second-story balcony. Yes, these are minor complaints in a world rife with many bigger issues. However, we were disappointed enough to share these concerns. We would certainly return to this area and neighborhood, but not this property.

I appreciate all that they do in making sure everyone enjoys their stay. I only left to move closer to my job other than that I'm going to miss the walks and friendships. At night you will need to get used to the traffic noise off of 35IH but the park is maintained and neighbors are friendly.

Stayed for a few months after selling my house. I have 2 kids which I was charged on top of the…read moremonthly fee $90 each for which brought the monthly total to $700!!!! Plus electric..I would be ok with this IF there were ANYTHING for my kids to do, a playground, a park..SOMETHING..but there is absolutely nothing. I am paying for the electric I use so I don't understand the fee for my kids being there. ALSO EVERY SINGLE TIME I walked in the office Diane the "manager" (that also lives there) to get mail I was scolded for things other kids were allegedly doing? Being where they weren't supposed to be...riding a bike without a reflector l..you name it on and on and on...nothing my kids actually ever did?? But just "fyi these kids were doing this and that..didn't see your kids there but I'm warning you". There is a man there that stopped to talk to my kids while they were outside playing a few times...shortly before I left I seen him and his wife having a domestic dispute..I then find out he has a record a mile long with multiple battery and other violent charges!! Out of respect for family members of another guest that might read this I won't put details but there were several terrible things that happened while we were there. I don't recommend AT ALL! Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they have very nice shower facilities in the laundry room that they did keep very clean!

Dumpsters constantly overflowing and not emptied on a regular basis. Grass is cut when it gets knee-high. Lots of rules, but only certain people are required to follow the rules. Some examples of this are no window unit AC's are allowed in your RV (numerous RV's have them) you can have a storage shed, but it must be wood only (there were lots of residents with plastic & metal sheds. Save yourself the heartache and misery and just go down the road. There are tons of other RV parks that are clean and not so TRASHY!!!

This place is AMAZING!! Margie and David, the managers, are GREAT!! Im a first time RV owner (4…read moremonths and counting) and David helped me by backing my RV into my spot when I arrived. Margie has been super nice and helpful with everything, from check in to referring businesses like propane refills, hardware stores and grocery stores. Very efficient with emails and communicating with the park when needed. I'm a traveling healthcare worker, which is why I'm leaving, but when I am back in the area, Rising Spirit will be first on the list! They have mailboxes, 4 washers and 4 dryers. A shower and toilet, Soda machine, ice and water machine, grassy areas, a dog park. The grounds are nicely kept. Everyone living here, that I have interacted with, has been very friendly.

Since it was only my husband and I we originally requested a kind bed, the 3 queen room was not an upgrade. It was terrible and smelled like heavy, toxic women's perfume. We then requested again to have one king bed which they told us they originally did not have one available, but after a few minutes there was one available. Once we got in the room, which was right next door to the triple queen room.It did not smell of heavy toxic, women's perfume, instead it had black mold in the bathroom. Also, the shower control was broken and we could only get scalding hot water to come out of the shower.

Cedar Creek Inn, you were an oasis of help on a difficult adventure…read more So, I'm a former Texan, currently living in Los Angeles. Knowing that the Eclipse was coming to Texas in 2024, me and my lady decided to make a roadtrip adventure out of it. While it has been a tremendous adventure, there have been many challenges along the road. Near the home stretch of our journey, my vehicle started exhibiting bad behavior but we didn't have a lot of options for repair. We had a reservation at Cedar Creek Inn, but because of our impaired vehicle we were running severely behind time. We did not arrive at Cedar Creek until roughly 8am on the day we were supposed to check out. Exhausted and at the end of our mental and physical stamina, the owners were kind enough to allow us stay late to rest and recuperate. After the eclipse event, we needed a place to hole up again while we tried to organize a solution for the car. Again the owners bent over backwards to help us and give us a safe, clean and comfortable place while we solved our problems and got back on the road. I am truly grateful that people like this exist in the world. It goes beyond a simple merchant and client relationship and shows true care and understanding towards another human being in need. I've lived at Hunt's Crossing for over a year. It's a nice, quiet park. All residents are very…read morefriendly. I don't know what prior complaint about laundry room is about, I've never been when machines weren't working, and I've never been when there wasn't machines available. The owner's father manages the place, and has always been nice and polite to me. He has never been nasty, and I am very much a female. I get an email each month with my invoice attached, but nothing else is ever conveyed through email. I enjoy living here and have never had any issues.
