True to the promise, Charisse was ready when I showed up minutes before opening time (10am) and had me fitted with a perfect suit for the occasion. They even tailored my pants to get the exact fit and by 11:30am I had everything I needed for the 3pm wedding, which included walking the bride down the aisle. Needless to say, Vittorio's saved the day for me. But it was Charisse's attentive service and professionalism that really impressed me. For those who aren't into vinyl, suffice it to say that the various thrift stores in the Monroe County area differ widely in the way that they price records. VOA & AmVets routinely price records @ 99 cents each. In the Webster Goodwill, prices are usually $1.99 per record, with a few 99 cent slabs peppered in the mix. Oddly enough, the prices for records at the various Goodwills range from 99 cents each in Macedon to $2.99 each in Henrietta & Victor. Which puts this Goodwill (and the one off Bay Road) smack dab in the middle. Now, as a collector, I *will* pay $2.99 for a mint record that I want. And so will any self-respecting buyer. The problem is that there are quite a few platters that won't move at that price... e.g. Jim Nabors, Roger Williams, Ed Ames, Herb Alpert, Dan Fogelberg and various junk records from the 60's and 70's. However, keep digging... for if you do you'll find some gem buried between Firestone Christmas albums and have something to brag about for years to come!
