And the smocked dresses are as classic as the selection of books they carry. I mean that very literally! Sense & Sensibility for the under 3 set? An Alice in Wonderland colors primer? On their website, they had mentioned that it takes 2-3 business days to ship. Okay no biggie, I'm patient. One week went by, I had heard nothing. It hadn't been shipped still, and I had no updates. This was about 6 business days after my purchase. I emailed them from their website, and asked if they could let me know when it would get here. I had no response. Another week went by. After about 12 business days, I called the store. I asked them about my order and the lady on the phone just said to me, "Call back on Monday." and that was it. So I sent in another email. No response to that one as well, but I gave it time. When I got to about 19 business days with still no shipment sent out, no updates whatsoever, and no response to my emails, I looked for the Wee Mondine promotional emails I had been getting and messaged that email instead. It took 11 days to get a response. They said they would look into it. a few more business days passed and I decided to call the store again to ask if they had checked on it. A different person answered and said they weren't sure if they had it in stock but they would ask their boss. Finally felt like I was getting somewhere! Then a little while later I received an email saying that they never had that outfit to begin with. Then they offered to give me a different outfit or a refund. I asked for a refund-which did go through so I give them that. But ultimately this was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced and I intend to do my research into stores like this from now on.

I came in with a romper I had bought my 12 yr old. It was quite expensive and she wore it once and the seams were unraveling. When I first showed it to an obviously new sales girl. She told me it didn't come from there store. I assured her it did and told her she could look it up in my profile. I then went to shop with my two girls. The woman never came back to tell me she did find the transaction I had to approach her at which time she told me she couldn't help me but Melissa would be back soon and wait for her. So I waited and waited. Finally Melissa arrives and takes one look at this unraveling romper and says" I will have someone sew it for you it's an easy fix" Wrong answer. I explained I didn't want it fixed because it was obviously made poorly and for the money I paid last didn't want "someone stitching up thank you very much " She said well I'm not taking it back" This woman can see I am standing there with more clothes to buy today...the right answer is "I am so sorry I know you shop with us often let me give you a credit towards your purchase today. She was beyond rude thus I put down the clothes I was going to purchase and picked up my phone to write this yelp review. I will not shop there again. If you are going to have top prices then you best have top customer service to match it. Shameful behavior especially given the number of places to mediocre overpriced children's items in this area. I never would have expected it from this store. But it only takes once to lose a customer for life. I hope not taking back a damaged romper was worth exactly that.. Because that is what it cost you.

I purchased the same outfit in two different sizes as a gift because I wasn't sure which size would fit best. The total purchase was almost $400. At the time of purchase, I specifically explained to the sales associate that I intended to return whichever size didn't fit. She explicitly told me, "Don't worry, you have a month to decide", an Italian lady. Three weeks later, I returned to the store to do exactly what I had explained I would do. The same sales associate refused to accept the return and told me that the store's policy was only two weeks. She then appeared to be texting or contacting "customer care," which was particularly odd given that this is a very small store with only a few employees. I asked if I could speak with a supervisor or the owner. I was told to email the company. I did exactly that. I took the additional step of looking up the owner's name and addressing my email directly to her, explaining the situation clearly and respectfully. I received absolutely no response. The most disappointing part was not even the return policy itself. It was being told one thing at the time of purchase, relying on that representation, and then being told something completely different when I returned three weeks later. If the policy was truly two weeks, that should have been clearly communicated at the time of purchase--especially after I specifically explained that I was purchasing two sizes with the intention of returning one. And after taking the time to contact the company and address the matter directly to the owner, having my email completely ignored was incredibly unprofessional. For a purchase of nearly $400, I expected considerably better customer service and, at the very least, the courtesy of a response. This lack of professionalism speaks volumes. Worst experience I have had with a boutique. I would not shop here again.

After returning both items, I received only a partial refund -- $14.99 was not refunded. This is unacceptable for a company that sells premium baby products. My credit card was charged immediately and I received an order confirmation. For several months, the car seat never shipped. During that time, communication from the shop initially seemed reassuring. Up until around January, I did receive responses, but each time I was given a different explanation for why the order was delayed and was repeatedly promised that it would ship soon. Over the course of these conversations, I was told the delay was due to things like tariffs, updated product codes, the color being in high demand, and other supply issues. Each time I was told it should ship in the next few weeks or months. Unfortunately, the item still never shipped. After months of waiting and repeated promises that were never fulfilled, communication eventually stopped altogether. I was left with no real resolution and ultimately had to dispute the charge with my credit card company in order to recover my money. After looking into this further, I found that other customers have reported similar experiences online. My advice to anyone considering ordering from this business is to proceed with extreme caution. Charging customers immediately for products that are never shipped and repeatedly delaying with new explanations is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. They claim to reopen in 2027. I hope they never reopen at all. Happy ending: I was able to order the Nuna car seat in the Biscotti color from a reputable retailer once it was back in stock, and it arrived quickly and exactly as promised. I only wish I could get back the months I spent chasing updates and excuses from The Piccolina Shop about why my order hadn't shipped yet. Thankfully my credit card company stepped in and refunded the charge during the dispute process. Lesson learned: I'll be sticking with reputable retailers who actually deliver the products they sell.
