She explained the process of payment. If you purchase items at Nordstrom, there is a free tailoring service! You pay with your Nordstrom card then receive the amount in Nordstrom Notes. You do have to use the notes at Nordstrom, Rack or online. At almost $100 for the alterations, I'm happy to have the $$$ to treat myself! The store is bright, clean and has nice displays. The dressing rooms were also clean. Bathrooms for women are in the second level.

I did have a general question about the availability of a particular shirt color and size and from there it snowballed into a much bigger purchase than I initially expected to spend. LOL. There was a jacket I had seen and wanted online but I thought it was sold out entirely, but Kevin said "oh yeah we have it in the size you want". It seemed like his brain was hooked directly into the BB database, and had the current stock information because it seemed like within two mins he pulled everything up on his register and logged into my rewards account and before I knew it, my credit card was out and the jacket would arrive in 2 days. LOL. There is a sea of retail outlets that employ help that just focuses on taking merch out of boxes and folding them onto a table. Every now and then they goto the back to see if there is more of a particular size, but they don't know anything about what they are peddling. It's nice when the help is experienced and knowledgeable about their product. It's nice when the staff shows some competency in getting the customer what they want and getting them on their way quickly especially during the holidays. This is a new Brooks Brothers store and I've got to say BB has a real gem in the store manager Kevin. The work that he's doing on social media to build up the brand on instagram is also impressive. I explained to the gentleman who greeted me that I have a return, have the card it was purchased on but do not have a receipt. He stated I would need to speak with the store manager. The manager is tall, thin and bald. Before I can even complete my sentence he said "no, bye" I was almost certain I was in a respectable establishment and not on the street. It wasn't so much that he was unable to return the item, it was the poor attitude I received. When I asked his name he said verbatim "I'm not going to give it to you, I don't want your business, I don't want you wearing the brand, get out of the store" I'm a professional, I head a customer service department and this is not how one should conduct business. I was not rude, I'm not a fan of rude customers nor do I believe in "the customer is always right". However, this man was on attack mode. He selected his outfit online and sent invitations to all of us that would be involved to go in and get measured. One guy was in California, I was here in NJ, and the rest were in other areas of Pennsylvania. No one went to the same store. I was helped by Delisia, who quickly found my wedding party, reviewed what I was getting, get out a 'test tux; for me to try, tweaked up my measurements, and sent me off with a pick up receipt in about 15 minutes. Two days before the wedding I returned, picked up my tux, and headed off. On the wedding day, the tuxes all matched perfectly, fit fine, and everyone was happy. Quite a service they provide. The only downside is the tux has to be returned the next day, which, after a good wedding, can be a painful chore. But the return process took literally all of two minutes, so tolerable even with post wedding hangover!
