The store set up hasn't changed over the years, which is nice. And my recent visit found the store having a massive clearance sale. Spring has sprung, so winter items were on their way out, and even spring items were being pushed out for summer items. Clearance signs clearly marked the items, and most had a good variety of sizes from which to choose. The store was still in good order, despite the many displays showing clearance. My only complaint is that there were items that had no price on the tag. That's not helpful. Overall, shopping here was a positive experience. read more

I went to this Old Navy location in the Arboretum this weekend to do a needed online return. I really like this location, as the staff always do a wonderful job of keeping the floor well-stocked and clean. I have shopped here multiple times, although they don't have many tall sizes in the store, which I often need. You can enter the building through an accessible ramp or steps, and it also has accessible doors to press for folks who need that accessibility. It is also awesome that some of the staff here still mask, which helps for a more accessible shopping space for many. The store also has small push carts (it could help to have a few more) to help with your shopping needs. There was quite a long line (it was a Saturday and the holidays), but the staff were doing their best to move folks through quickly. I have never seen so many staff on the registers. They also had a Help Needed sign on their door (in case anyone is looking for a new gig!). I wanted to give a shout out to Addison who helped me with my online return. One of the items had pulled threads in the sweater, but I had already cut off the tag. She not only helped me get it returned for me but also ordered a replacement to ship to my home for free. I needed a tall size. It rang up higher than the price online I saw earlier in the day, and she was able to price match for me. Such truly great service! I know I will get nasty grams for this review... BUT I don't care :) I rarely shop at Old Navy, although their clothes can be comparable to almost any other stores clothing of similar style (with a slight difference in quality). Generally, Old Navy positions itself as value brand with styles and fit that are comparable to higher end retailers clothing. Their nationwide scale means they can have huge production runs of their clothing styles, and they may even own or be invested in their factories (class dismissed). All that aside, I believe that the vast majority of items here much like Khol's are often not worth the price point because of the quality or lack thereof of products provided. Therefore, this three star rating should not come as a surprise. The last item I purchased here was Jingle Jammies for the kiddos and I. We get new ones each year to take holiday photos in. The jammies I purchased this year seem to have taken a major decline in quality from last year. Based upon this last purchase, I am not sure that I would purchase from this retailer in the future. I came in on a mission. Find some dresses, try them on, and check out. I tried on a bunch of dresses. They are having a sale today, most dresses were 20/30% off. A couple of the dresses I tried on were only $17/$20. Thankfully some of the dresses fit and were super cute for my body type. Loose fitting and pockets! Waited in line at the cashiers station. 3 cashiers were working. 1 cashier was having trouble with a customer, either a refund that wasn't working out or something. So another cashier tried to help her. Now making 3 cashiers, to 1 cashier. So while I was waiting in line. I got my dresses off the hangers got my credit card out so I would be ready. Don't know why it was taking other customers so long to cash out. Literally took me 3 minutes to purchase 4 dresses. Customers were making the wait time longer than it needed to be. Not the cashiers fault. Although it took forever standing in line, my experience with the store, being clean, plenty of clothing items on sale, lots of sizes to choose from , etc. happy with the 4 dresses I got. read more

Sketchy products. Bought a few pairs of jeans here that I found at a sale of a price, the service here is severely meh. Even worse when I did online orders with in store pick up, they tout that you can skip the line but they look at you and don't enforce the quick skip and you spent a good chunk of the time waiting and waiting. I wore a pair of pants twice max and found a giant hole where the pockets by the butt were that seemed to grow upon wearing them. I took them back for an exchange and the sales rep made me go get a new pair just to wait in line again and say she wouldn't give me the exchange since her manager said they were worn. Of course they were, I purchased them 2.5 weeks ago and now they have a hole in them? The defect control in their products are frustrating and for them to not honor a return is completely bonkers. My other pair of jeans of the same line but different color is still holding strong after not wearing them for a month but boo, no more "cheapo" deals. I guess my budget has to be upped to get myself better service since old navy knows their pants are too cheap for an exchange and you can just purchase new ones. read more

Clothing stores like Old Navy are hit or miss. Lately Old Navy has been quite the hit for me. Employees here are super helpful. I found a shirt that was in the wrong spot and they found the right size for me when I asked. They have great sales and I have managed to leave the store with a decent amount of items (5-6) for under $75 or so. That's pretty good. I'd never shop here without a sale or coupon just because I'm always looking for a good deal but that's pretty easy to do here since they always have sales. I've shopped here for years. The store is always clean, the bathroom even cleaner, and the shelves usually adequately stocked with merchandise. Because of this location's popularity, I sometimes have trouble finding things in specific sizes, especially if said things are on sale. Recently, I wanted to return some unworn clothing but noticed my receipt had expired. Since I was already there, I talked with the staff to see if anything could be done. The manager was very helpful and patiently worked with me to get store credit for the full amount paid. I was truly grateful as otherwise would have received only one-tenth of the original amount due to markdowns (a potential loss of over $100, not insignificant!). Thanks, y'all. read more

Had lunch with one of my super shopper friends today and she told me about the sale at Old Navy. Tees are on sale for $7.00 and if you get an Old Navy/Banana Republic/Gap credit card they knock off 30% more. After lunch, I stopped in at Old Navy to see the selection of mark downs. Bright colors and stripes. Long sleeves and short. I purchased 6 tops and spent $30.00 plus tax. Most of my tops are long sleeved and all of them can be worn under a sweater or hoodie. One top was a black stretchy tank that had colorful faux jewels across the bodice. It will be cute with a black or red jacket. An added bonus is that if I want to take the Kid back through November 8th, I can continue to get 30% off. Friday the coats go on sale at 50% off. They give you a tote filled with your purchases that you use for your next purchases. Hanging on the tote is a tag that says 10% off. I'm not sure where that discount fits in because at that point my head was spinning with too many numbers and discounts and I needed a calculator. So about the credit card. I will pay it off immediately and never use it again--until the next sale. read more

Do you know why I love Old Navy? Because I can put my ankle biter turning pre-teen into great quality clothes without feeling like I have save for months for him to look 'respectable' and clean cut. Yeah, I am a "mean mom" there will never be way oversized clothes, sagging around the waist, etc. in my house. If he wants to get a job and store that stuff in his locker at school that is another story. Now that I have gotten off track on fashion let's return to my review shall we... This location has excellent customer service. The people are caring, intelligent, and good listeners. However, Old Navy corporate is not empowering their employees to solve problems. Instead, they are working with some 1984-like company called "Retail Equation" (theretailequation.com) What that equals for you is that if you ever lose your receipt that you will not get any money back. Corporate does some creepy thing where they run your license and see if your social credit score determined by some unknown equation deems you worthy to return the items (spoiler alert: nobody passes and their dispute process is fake). read more

Well, here is another place I frequent that i just never thought about reviewing.. This is my main location when I physically come into the store.. I do prefer online; however, sometime they have great deal in store. The staff are always pleasant. Everything has always been clean and well kept. The location is convenient for me as it is close to my job, so running in here from time to time to grab clothes is perfect. I will admit; though, I do come here 95% of the time for my children's clothing, not mine. Their clothing is durable and withstands little hellfires, if you know what I mean?! They always have the latest style available, and, believe it or not, they keep in line with what kids wear these days.. although Im not a fan of fashion.. I try to half way keep up.. :) There really isn't much to say about ON.. Good clothes, good service, clean store. I shop here, I like it.. I always thought of Old Navy as great place to get basics..... khaki pants, white shirts, etc. This weekend I walked into this place and was floored by the difference in their selection. I went to this Old Navy when they had a sale on polo shirts for $5. I had never shopped at an Old Navy, so I thought I would check it out. The first thing I noticed about the polos was the material was very thin and it felt cheap. But for $5, I decided to buy 4 polo shirts. I tried them on and they looked and fitted pretty good. However, after one wash, they shrunk big time and didn't fit me anymore. They had shrunk so much, my belly button was showing. I ended up giving them to Goodwill. I came to old navy to return a workout top that I purchased online that wasn't the correct size. The associate was very helpful and refunded my purchase right away. They have a huge selection of clothes here (maybe because of the holiday season?) and I found some more clothes to buy that were on sale. I like that they have a scanning area for customers to check prices on items on their own. Parking can be tight at this location so I recommend coming not at a peak time. read more

This Old Navy used to be my favorite place to shop. Whenever someone needed something in a super small size, or a plus size, you had to go here, because nowhere in town would carry your size. ( Or at least none of those clothes would end up looking relatively attractive, as most plus size clothing is of the stretch pants and tunic variety.) Another old perk of Old Navy...they used to have amazing clearance section. Amazing. 5 dollar shirts, old jeans, thrown in with out any organization, giving a new meaning to treasure hunting. Now. All gone. Well mostly. The jean selection has shrunken considerably. They will have the size you want, but not in the right leg length ( one of the things old navy is usually good for is having pants in short, regular and long.) I searched for 20 minutes to find a size for me and my sister, and luckily found a pair I liked. The clearance section has also disintegrated. Now they have very carefully organized sections of clothes they never should have created in the first place. ( denim vests anyone?) And all of the clearance items are overpriced. Yes. Cashiers are not very attentive...sometimes that works out in your favor (i.e. they remove security tags and forget to ring the items up before placing it to the end so you end up with free stuff) and other times it will cost you (they don't like applying coupons cause it slows down the line so they will say a certain coupon is not applicable to your transaction). Important note... if you have a coupon you want to use... Present the coupon and say "I would like to use this coupon today" which forces the cashier to read the actual coupon and apply their intelligence. The reason being is that most people will phrase it as a passive question " Can I use this coupon?" which quickly prompts a response from the cashier "oh that I believe that is only for [insert color] tag sale items". The cashier won't evaluate the coupon (especially if there is a line behind you) and you'll realize later that the coupon was indeed redeemable for your purchase. This has happened multiple times to me at this location before I changed my verbage. Prices are excellent and inventory is plentiful. Customer service is hit-or-miss. Their clearance rack was a little crazy for me. One of those racks that so hectic and has so much going on that you can't even flip through the clothes. I found a couple of steals which are always my favorite! They are transitioning from summer to fall so they have a lot of 10%,20%,40% Signs hanging up throughout the store. When old navy is having a sale, they are REALLY having a sale! Just waiting on those flannels!!! The lady checking us out signed me up for the email list and gave us two coupons which was super nice of her. Good location. Old navy is just one of those stores. I received awesome customer service from Dana at this location. I had only called to find out if there was a customer service email for Old Navy as I had been having so many issues contacting them by phone/online chat the past few days over a top that was reported as delivered June 26th but had yet to show up. I expected to just either get an email address to use or be told that there was not one but Dana proceeded to ask what the issue was and -long story short- she remedied the situation in the way that worked most convenient for myself and informed me what had occurred. She was pleasant, helpful and efficient. I am extremely appreciative as I know she did not have to go through the steps to solve my online order problem. read more

Store has really cute clothes especially for kids but their staff needs to be more educated in their promotions. When checking out, the cashier insisted that a dress that was on sale was regular price. She made me and my very pregnant self walk all the way back to the store to double check instead of doing it herself or asking another staff. First I would like to say that I really do like Old Navy in general. The negativity that I experience comes from this store in General. I do most of my shopping online but when I do go into an actual location I usually go to this one. To be honest, the attitude of some of the people working here is downright horrible. Last Saturday, I ordered some shoes from Old Navy online and opted for in store pick up. I chose this option because if I had ordered them for online shipping to my house I would have had to pay about $7 for shipping. With in-store pickup option I was able to pick up cuz she is without a shipping fee as well as get them the same day. So, order is placed in a few minutes later I received an email that says that my order has been cancelled. It also stated that the product that I was interested in was out of stock and my money would be refunded within 2 to 10 days. Fine, I accepted that I would not be getting the shoes. No problem. Later that day I decided to visit the store just to see if I could pick through their sale items. As I was walking around the store I noticed a display of the shoes that I had ordered earlier. I walked up to the display and immediately saw the shoes in my size that had been canceled. I grabbed the shoes as well as a few other items and headed to the register. When I got to the register I very politely and nonchalantly Told the employee the situation about the shoes. She got a very irritated, almost disgusted look on her face and said " yeah I know what you're talkin about oh, I couldn't find them so I canceled the order" . Fine, I understand sometimes it's hard to find a pair of shoes in a big store like that. I'm okay with the order being canceled but when I'm not okay with it's smug face and attitude of the lady the entire time. She truly acted like I was bothering her. I guarantee you that I spend over $100 a month at Old Navy between online and in-store. I'm not really happy about how I was treated. Also, when I got home I noticed that even though I had spent $70 I did not receive any of my super cash coupons for a future visit. I almost thought about going back up to the store for my super cash but then I realized just the thought of facing this employee was not worth it read more

Did you know that if you order something at ON online and try to take it back , you MUST have the invoice? Well, during the holiday rush, I trashed the invoice to my standard gifts of ON fleece! When I tried to take mine back, they had to call the online store, get the price and finally figured out how to tell me I was only getting $5.99 back for a $20.00 fleece. Are they NUTS!!!! So I have purchased clothes, primarily jeans and belts, from Old Navy for over a decade. (Seriously, I'm almost ashamed of how many styles of jeans I used to like that are no longer offered.) And it has been noticeable over the last few years that the quality and durability of their clothes have taken a severe nose-dive. But to be able to spend $30 on a pair of jeans or $15 on a belt and get a year or so of wear has been a fair trade-off to make. After my experience of the last few days, I will never shop at an Old Navy store again. In mid-February I went to the Gateway location to pick up two new pairs of jeans and a new belt. The jeans went into my regular laundry rotation, which means that between other jeans, shorts, slacks, Dockers, etc, they have likely been worn and gently washed between four and six times from that date until Monday 5/4, when everything went wrong. I was returning from a weekend trip, and a family member was picking my wife and I up from the airport. I loaded our bags into the trunk, shut my wife's door, and got into the passenger's seat. As I did, I heard the unmistakeable sound of ripping fabric. Sure enough, an approximately six to eight inch tear had appeared in my almost-new jeans, starting along the inseam and continuing on up to near the zipper. I was disappointed, but not too worried. In the past I've had a couple of items of questionable quality from Old Navy (or more questionable than is to be expected from them) - a pair of jeans with a seam that started unraveling after one wash, and a belt whose "leather" started separating into many different layers after just a couple of weeks - and each time the stores where the items were purchased have been willing to make it right. I incorrectly assumed that would be the case here. So fast forward a couple of days later (after the post-vacation hustle has settled back into normal routine), and I call the Gateway location to inquire about exchanging the jeans for a fresh pair. The phone was answered by one of their workers (whom I won't name here, as he was likely just acting as instructed and seemed friendly and willing to try to help). I explained the situation, what had happened, and what I was looking for. He placed me on hold for a while, after which I spoke with someone identified as the store manager (but who never identified themselves by name). Again I explained the story, advised that I didn't have the receipt but that I did have a copy of the charge from my debit card records which also identified the store from which the jeans were purchased, and asked if I could exchange what was obviously a sub-standard and shoddily-constructed pair of jeans. To which I was flatly told no. I was told that the item was "just on the edge of the acceptable timeframe" and then that they wouldn't be accepted because "[they] would just have to throw the jeans away, because [they] couldn't resell them". A little incredulous, I asked them if they thought it was right that a pair of their jeans shouldn't even last a full three months, especially when they weren't even worn once a week. No answer was forthcoming, so I followed up by asking whether this meant that I was stuck with an obviously defective piece of merchandise that they refused to make right. I quickly received an affirmative answer this time. So, I advised the store manager that I would never again purchase anything from Old Navy - and I will stick to that. I would rather spend more money somewhere else, even if it is less convenient, that give these folks another dime, particularly when the quality of their clothes has sunk so low. That might be an acceptable life span for children's clothes, as they grow quickly and dish out a lot of wear-and-tear on their clothes - but for an adult, especially one who handles their clothes gently, this is completely unacceptable. And their customer service, at least at the Gateway store, emphatically sucks. read more

Bored at lunch time, I wandered in here for the first time in a while. It will probably be even longer before I return. I used to buy pants here, and I tried on a few pairs similar to what I used to get. They were tight, uncomfortable, and felt cheaply made. For kids, it might make sense to shop here, but I prefer clothes that will last. read more

I shop at Old Navy all the time. I love their clothes. The manager at this location is rude and cares little about the customer. I came in looking for a jacket I saw online. The online link directed me to this specific store as having a few of the exact color and size I wanted. I went to check out and the price was more than the online price. When I asked about this the store associate asked her manager, who promptly said, No! We don't match online pricing. Then gave and annoyed look and continued in her way. I asked again why if it is Old Navy.com would they not honor their own pricing and she said it's just different. She didn't want to help out or figure out a solution. I am a recent cancer survivor and I find people sometimes feel uncomfortable because my hair is just growing in and I don't wear a wig. Is this why your associate was so rude and dismissive? She barely made eye contact with me. I purchased the item and left as quickly as I could. I felt embarrassed and uncomfortable. Very sad Old Navy, very sad indeed. read more
