We were told that in a day or 2 someone will contact us to make appointment for measurements and template. The measurements is expected to be in about 1.5 weeks. Then approximately another 1.5 weeks for installation. We waited almost a week until we got the call from Kari. Kari asked if we have the cooktop yet. We told her that it will be onsite in 3 days. She refused to schedule an appointment, insisting it's "company policy" that we MUST have the cooktop onsite in order to simply schedule an appointment. And the appointment will be 2 weeks out from the time of scheduling. Also she said it will cost extra for teardown the existing countertop (which we expected). But she refused to give an estimate for the additional cost. She even said that we can cancel the order if we don't like it. This company is VERY difficult to work with from the beginning!! It is giving us the preview of more troubles to come down the road if we continue the order.

This resulted in cabinetry that could not fit the space. I was blamed by the owner, but because all information was corresponded via email, the owner messed up the order and it was glaringly obvious. After several emails back and forth I was promised a check amount in refund. At no point did the owner measure the space, walk me through the plans and details, nor said they were sorry for screwing up. I am supposed to get a check refund when they return on the 2nd. If done, I will change my review to a 2 star review. Be careful folks.

The design work Kayron did was beyond what we could have imagined ourselves. The attention to detail and innovative approach to a space is so worth it. I am glad we did not limit ourselves and went ahead and did a design consult that went beyond replacing tiles and cabinets. Kayron is so patient and thorough. She listened to our needs and really understood how we use the space. There was no cookie cutter approach to her design. Tony is hands-on and grounded in his congenial approach understanding that homeowners have an initial vision for their kitchen yet need at times his artisan approach to make it a reality and fill in the empty pieces of the puzzle that are not always known at the onset of a project. Tony further made referrals available from the onset and this helped us to gain some additional feedback on what Tony did for others on their projects. Tony's methodical approach to work is so well thought out and comprehensive in scope. He hones in on the little details that made our project absolutely delightful. Tony provided scaled color diagrams so that we can picture in advance what our kitchen would look like. Tony also provided meaningful suggestions in keeping with a home of 1906 vintage. Many companies claim to have good customer service and quality work but Silverado delivers on those promises. We have a "vintage" 1948 bathroom that presented some challenges. While other contractors refused to even consider it and recommended a complete gutting Silverado worked with us to integrate the new shower in our retro bathroom. Their installers work for them and are not independent contractors. Abel was amazing. They take care to create as little disturbance or mess as possible and pay attention to all the details. There was a plumbing issue (old house problems) and Abel spent the time to solve it correctly. We worked with both Larry and Glen setting for bids and material and both were wonderful. Larry even stopped by to check on the progress of the project. As for the product itself, all of the materials are top quality. You can find cheaper alternatives (BathFitters, premade surrounds) but the quality of both the materials and install can't match Silverado. If you are considering it I'd highly recommend a visit to their showroom. The end product is beautiful and the best part--no grout cleaning ever again!!

As it turned out that man was John the owner. It has been a very long time since I have met anyone more genuine than John. I found myself sitting down with him and just"visiting" for several minutes. While we chatted he dispatched one of his fellow employees (I get the feeling John is a "work WITH" rather than a "work FOR" type of guy) who quickly took off to cut the fire box bricks I needed, to a custom size. After visiting with John and he pointing to his son around the corner I came to realize this really is a family run business...
