For having family living in Keyport we chose to go here to support our local business. However we were very disappointed with the overall experience. To begin with we were told that waiting time is 40 minutes where it took a total of 90 minutes to finally be seated (ridiculous). The food arrived all at the same time where 2 of the 3 pizzas we ordered was already cold and hard as a rock to bite into. On top of all on a wing nite they did not have wings on their menu. The food taste was not bad but portions were terribly small for the appetizers. One star due to the fact we had a great waiter who took initiative to keep out drinks filled and check on us regularly. read more

I had to pick 3 stars cause the atmosphere was high, but the service tanked. We had a party of 6 (which 3 arrived early and they gave us a table anyway). We were there at 3:30, and only 5 out of 10 tables were occupied. The architecture inside is AWESOME, and you can't help but raise a toast to America. Our server was very attentive right when we sat, but then became non-existent as our time progressed. Our drinks took about 10 minutes to get, (again NOT a crowded time) I had asked for lime slices and after another 10 minutes it was clear he forgot. When he took our appetizer order, I asked if the meatballs where made with breadcrumbs. Again, he forgot. We asked for a take out container. Again, he forgot. Beer and cheese soup was rad, and the wings , which I ordered the parmesan and rosemary flavor based on a Yelp review, were big and 10 to count! The bison burgers I was told were very good. My husband felt the French dip and au jus were lacking flavor. We asked for yellow mustard and brown was brought out. AND they do not have pickles.... If you get the Smore skillet for dessert ask for extra Graham crackers. The fried Twinkie sundae was mediocre. We came here, driving 40 minutes, from a review on a NJ website. Of course I read Yelp before and had read the service was lacking, but we are Patriots and wanted to support Old Glory. I would recommend this establishment only if you are in the area. Can't go wrong with the wings, but try sitting at the bar for happy hour and better service. read more

So... 3rd time here and this 5 stars is the most well deserved I've ever given. From the hostess to the manager, Joe... the service was impeccable. They were out of the crab dip and when Joe saw my friend's sad face he said... "Can you wait 15 minutes... I'll make it for you." Every time i come here it's better than the last. This is my third time at this Resturant and it's been a gamble every occurrence. The first time I here I ordered "The Big Lou" it was undercooked ( I asked for medium rare). The second time I came I ordered a sandwich, which was excellent. The third and potentially last time I came here (tonight) I decided to give my old friend "The big lou" a try and again asked for medium rare. Instead I got a we'll done burger (see picture attached). I am not one to complain about my food so I didn't not say anything. HOWEVER I did order a pizza as an app, which was absolutely phenomenal; but the only problem is that that did not cut the pizza. They left knife marks and no actual cut. I did make a comment that I had to cut my own pizza and the waiter laughed it off. - the food is very good (with the exception of the big lou). The service is exceptional. If I do decide to come back here, I am staying away from the burger. read more

Solid local establishment for good food and drinks. Weekday specials are good and in the summer their outside dining is awesome. They used to do communal seating but I think that went out the door a very long time ago. They have entertainment some nights of the week and the staff have always been pretty kind and attentive. I have to say the last time I went it took forever to get drinks. I don't know the reason but I don't think it was our servers fault. Maybe the bar was backed up? It was a Tuesday night tho with half price sandwiches so they were moderately busy but nothing crazy. I haven't really had a bad bite of food there although I haven't tried too many things. I've frequented this place over the years even getting takeout but pretty much have stuck to pizza, wings, calamari (which is some of the best around), meatballs, and their garlic shrimp app. This particular 1/2 price night I did have a burger and it was awesome! They say three times a charm and my third visit was charming. The first time I came during the week Bruna and I had the Old Glory Pizza. A great pie, you could taste the love that went into making this pizza with fresh mozz, basil, and roasted garlic. I came later last week and brought home a vodka pie. Delicious. The Vodka Pie Had vodka sauce, peas, shrooms, basil, fresh mozzarella, Prosciutto, with parmigiano. Today I stopped by and Katie At the bar was one of the best bartenders I've seen in a long time. Unfortunately I was not a fan of the food here, despite the nice decor and atmosphere. The wings were way too spicy and the bison burger was dry. I came on another occasion for a party with drinks and apps and it was amazing! Came again for dinner and wasn't impressed with the entrees. It's too bad bc it's really nice inside. The pizza delivered to the table was obviously blackened and burnt. We asked the waitress to take it back. When they came back with what was supposed to be a new pizza it was the same one with the crust scraped off. The drinks we ordered were delivered to the tables in the cans. No glasses were offered to pour them into. Water was never offered. Then when we went to pay 2 different checks were presented. One for cash and another with a surcharge if you are going to pay with a credit card. We will not be going back. read more

Been here a few times and always worth it! Pizza, appetizers, drink selection - all great. It gets crowded so come early to grab a table outside on a nice night. Parking can be tricky too with so many places in Keyport but there is a lot right outside the restaurant. read more

We are not red meat/ poultry eaters, so I'm not able rate our app. The old menu did not say it contained bacon, and I waited until they fixed their menu to wrote this review. Management within a few weeks had the menu updated. Great Job! We split the "Seafood Pie with Chopped little neck clams, chopped jumbo shrimp, alfredo sauce, spinach, ricotta. Topped with red pepper flakes, extra virgin olive oil & Parmigiano-Reggiano." The flavors were good, we just wish it had more seafood. Inside the place is really nice. I wouldn't recommend bringing a baby because its pretty loud inside. Our server was really nice, and the manager that we spoke with about the app was really nice as well. Went here once after months of curiously...could not figure out if they were building a church or a restaurant from the exterior. Not going to lie, I was a little weirded out but the overly-patriotic decor but I got past that. We all love America -but girl, calm down. They have picnic style seating which is great if you're coming with a large group of people. They also have a nice outdoor seating area. Lots of parking available in the lot out front. The food was...just okay. We ordered a pizza which was big enough for two people to share. They also have us oven baked bread. Nothing special about the cuisine. There are a lot of tv's and they seem to have a pretty decent bar. If you want a place to gather with some friends on the weekend/after work, then this restaurant is for you. Went for lunch yesterday. Ordered a beer that got warm really quick. A frosted glass would've helped. The food was good for the most part. We had the wings and pizza as appetizer and it was good. I had the Mac and cheese which sounded good but was on the dry side. One issue, they have a 3% credit card fee which is their option. However, we paid cash and they still charged the credit card fee. They had to refund the difference. I blame the owners of business in the way they have it set up on the bill. The owner needs to address this. read more

The building used to be a church (formerly Trinity) The decor is amazing. The bar has old Keyport newspaper adds under the glass bar. The little details are lovely. They do have a nice Happy Hour that actually runs till 7pm. Now for the food. How can you have a big beautiful wood fired oven in the middle of the restaurant and make such tasteless pizzas. There were no char marks under the crust. Just a bland chewy crust that was too thick. The pizza was simply OK. The chicken wings are all grilled. A nice healthier option but gives them no crispy skin, the flavors offered are pretty boring and tasteless as well. We like this place as the food is always consistent. Service can be spotty at times and the pizzas all those fabulous slow things down for everyone. Last time I was there I had a cold meatloaf sandwich which was supposed to be served hot. The staff replaced it quickly and removed it from the bill. My family and I went to Kayport, NJ for a couple of days and this place was recommended to us by the host of our AirBnB. We went there after a long day at the beach and we were starving! The decor was really nice and we were seated at a big picnic table. They had a special on Tuesday nights where it's $5 off sandwiches after 4 PM. We ordered their crab cake sandwich, the crispy chicken sandwich and the old glory pizza. My 12 year old sister LOVED the pizza and ate 5 slices by herself! The sandwiches were really good too, and I especially loved their big steak fries. All of the food seemed reallreally fresh and because we had gotten 3 sandwiches, we got $15 off of our meal! Beautiful atmosphere, yummy food, and wonderful staff! First, I absolutely love the decor! The seating, although I'm not a fan of bench seating, reminds me very much of a beer garden! Our waitress was such a sweetheart and couldn't be better!! The food was delicious. I had the artichoke and spinach pie and brought home half as leftovers. My mom got the margherita pizza and she enjoyed it. Very crispy! My dad got the chicken Parmesan sandwich and took half of that home too. Even though we saved leftovers we of course had room for dessert... Or barely had room. My parents shared the apple crisp and I had the Oreo milkshake. Definitely recommend!!!
