Came here with a large group of mom's for a mom's night out and we had a fabulous time! I ordered a peach/ginger drink and it was strong but really tasty, highly recommend! A few non-drinking ladies were given great recommendations for virgin cocktails! The food was also really good, most people got burgers which looked really good. I got the duck pizza which was really tasty but the crust could use work, it was a bit too crunchy and flat, I'm not sure what style I would call it but I prefer either a lightly crisp crust with a chewy bite or a fluffy crust, this was neither. I am a bit snobby when it comes to pizza so I'm definitely particular but the toppings were really unique and tasted yummy! Next time I'll go for a burger for sure. The service was excellent, I had made special arrangements to bring in a group of 16 people, and, being moms to young babies, some of us showed up later/earlier, some left earlier/later and we all had separate bills, so I know it wasn't the easiest to manage but our server honestly nailed it. We all had our drinks done perfectly, food came out all at the same time, nothing was missed, and he was soo genuine and friendly. We really had such a nice time! Thanks so much HBH for making our night out so fun!!

Parking on side streets and across the street there's a lot. The inside: It's small inside but comfortable. There's also a pretty cute balcony out back. Is a bar and they have some pretty interesting drinks and flights that you can get. There's also a kitchen that they rent out that you most definitely need to try.

Located in downtown Newmarket, it's easily accessible by public transit (3-minute walk from a YRT Viva bus station) and there is parking right across the street. The interior is small and cozy. They also have a small patio at the back. The craft beer selection here is great. The "Fairweather" (contains Agua Fresca flower sour) has a pretty pinkish / light orange colour, and tastes a bit sour. "Bellwoods" (Mexican lager) has a bit of a honey aftertaste. "Halo" is good if you like pale ale. For those who want to try a bit of everything, they offer craft beer flight of 4 for $12 (good way to mix and match!). There is also Soju Bomb on the menu, for those who want something other than beer. Non-alcholic options include Shirley Temple, oat milk chai latte (cold), juices, and soft drinks. Water is free and self-serve at the back. Food-wise, they offer bar finger foods and snacks such as nachos, chips and dips (with guacamole), gyoza, spring rolls, and edamame. When we went, they had a special South Asian fusion menu (in collaboration with an Indian chef) that wasn't posted online. I believe this was limited time special menu. Selection included samosa chaat, tikki chaat, and masala which could come in a platter (with naan bread, biryani rice, and pico de gallo salad), poutine, or bowl. In both the regular and special South Asian menus, there were vegan and vegetarian options available. Great business overall - very inclusive (with gender-neutral washrooms), cozy and intimate atmosphere, and there are even board games and playing cards at the back (Codenames, UNO, regular deck of cards, etc.).

They offer similar food choices - new Canadian mostly. Clean, modern and classy. Great place for a date! FOOD The waitress recommended a few selections but the monte cristo and double cheese burger stood out to us. She mentioned that the burger is AMAZING (it is) and the tater tots are to die for (also true). The monte cristo sandwich consists of shrimp, capocollo, swiss cheese and challah french toast. I didn't know what to expect but it was DELICIOUS! Like revolutionary because I didn't expect the sweetness from the french toast to compliment the salty meat so well. The shrimp added a bit of flavour but lots of texture. Perfect brunchwich (first coined here by me, probably not). The double cheese burger was dirty and greasy and amazing. American cheese, bread & butter pickles, onions, dijonnaise, ketchup on a toasted sesame challah bun. Tater tots are everything you wanted in tater tots. Crispy outside with a potatoey, fluffy and savory inside. Go and enjoy.

A tiny…read moreindustrial space with 1/3 dedicated to a small kitchen and set of offices doesn't leave much room to produce spirits in the manner by which they do and at the volume they do. And yet do you think that quality would suffer - hell no. If you're wondering where you can find Last Straw Distillery, it's located closer to (just south of) Langstaff just off of Jane. Watch out carefully for it as if you're not careful you may miss their store front on Pippin Rd. So what sports of spirits are they concocting at Last Straw? All of them. Their Vaughan Vodka is one of the smoothest I've had served straight up at room temperature, little to no burn and none of that head shaking as you force it down. In fact it almost has a velvety mouth field similar to a light syrup. I'm not a Gin person typically, and only recently have I really developed a taste for Gin and Tonics, their Gin 21 is floral and yet so super smooth that I think I could actually drink this straight up in a martini - the way Gin was made to be drunk. Next up there's the Dark Side of Moonshine and their Blackstrap Rum. Wow on both accounts, so much so that I bought a bottle of Dark Side to bring home. There are even a few surprises in the works for the future, like a signature single malt... imagine that a whiskey/scotch aged in barrels right here in Vaughan. The prospect of it has my mouth watering in anticipation. Pay them a visit before they get too busy and sell out of everything, one bottle of everything they carry is literally all you need to jump start your own craft cocktail home bar - trust me.
