Well, I honestly don't know why I would expect anything different in Jackson MS. Put my order in…read moreover the app scheduled my pick up time. For 8 PM that would give me 20 minutes to get checked in my room and drive 1/2 mile to pick up the food four minutes tops. I arrived at 8:03 which gave him plenty of time. I went inside, stood in line until the lady at the register that I was here for online order ok over there didn't ask for my name or nothing. People came in made orders picked them up left they were delivering order left and right and at 8:20 PM, I think they could see the frustration on my face because one of the ladies in the back asked me what was the name on my order? I told her and the guy looked up on the shelf along with about five other bags that were sitting there and there was my bag. I took it and left when I got to the car. It was ice cold. These folks don't even try. But as I said, what do you expect? its Jackson, Mississippi, Sunday night and the people just don't care. Sorry Five Guys, your places are normally top-notch, but y'all need a severe house cleaning here. Maybe you can get some people that actually act like they are there to work. The sad part about this is I went to this particular FGs even though I had read the reviews! I thought, nah, can't be that bad. I stand corrected "with a $20 bag of ice cold food."

Too expensive for the mediocre food I received. I am very unsatisfied and this genuinely upset me…read more Milkshake was good though.

Okay, full disclosure: I love this place in a ridiculous way. It's not fancy, nice, or even…read moreparticularly clean. If you're heading to F. Jones though, you're not going somewhere where you're trying to be fancy. You just wanna dance to some blues and have a damn good time. And you WILL. F. Jones is THE late night spot in Jackson. I'm not even entirely sure what time this place opens. I think it's 10 or 11? I know if you get there before midnight most nights, you can avoid paying cover. BUT, I don't think I've ever showed up before midnight. This place pops off past midnight. This is where everyone heads once the other bars are closing, so everyone has usually already had a couple drinks. (PS, take an UBER! Do not drink and drive!) There is always live music-- typically some very Mississippi blues act. Everyone is dancing and having such a good time on the dance floor. The bar is dark, smoky, and crowded. It's VERY Mississippi. Outside, they are usually smoking some hot dogs, burgers, BBQ. It's cheap and delicious, and usually JUST what you need at that time of the night. The drinks are cheap. Cover to get in is usually $10, and you can get beers as cheap as $2 or $3 usually. F. Jones is definitely not an EVERY night type of thing. I mean, it's a LATE night. But every now and then, it's a really good time and definitely worth your while. Go get your dance on, y'all.

Stumbled across this spot actually searching on Yelp again...I love Yelp...and I knew this was…read morewhere I was eating. As pictured, there is a little bit of Detroit decor around the small restaurant. Walk in, order at the counter and wait for it to be brought to you. There is very little seating, I think I counted like 9 tables. I am a little confused as to if it is authentic to Detroit food, as I saw a big bottle of Tony Chacherie's seasoning in the kitchen which is sprinkled on the fries and probably seasoning for the burgers as well. I'm not sure. Woman was super nice, said they'd been open 9 1/2 years with her working there 9 of the years. The owner is from Detroit she told us, but the restaurant definitely lacked anything that would make me personally feel like I were in Detroit. She told us the patties were 8 ounces and for some reason I thought that was tiny, leading me to get the Willie Mack Triple Burger. The burger is indeed not tiny, but ginormous. Very tasty, hot and fresh, there is cheese on every slice and the salad is underneath all the patties. Mayo, mustard and ketchup as well. Fries were great, with Tony's seasoning of course, the burger was incredible, authentic Detroit or not it was very good. My mom got the single burger with fries and we both got drinks leading the total to $30. The drink machine was out, so the lady gave us cans of coke, and I requested sprite so she had a 2 liter of sprite??? ‍ She gave me a cup and told me I can have as many refills as I wanted as well as coke for my mom. It was weird, but the woman made the restaurant feel very homey which I really appreciated. It was a great experience, the lady was incredibly nice, the food was amazing, not sure how authentic to Detroit it is, but I like this place.
