I like this place. Its scope is limited enough - and the beer hit-and-miss enough - that I only visit it now and then, but the taproom is a nice place to relax and the 'tenders are friendly and will give you samples if you're not sure what you want to order. If you dislike super-hoppy IPAs like I do, the Pilsner or the Copper City Ale are both pretty good choices. Nothing life-changing, but pleasant enough on a warm day. My biggest complaint, which the 'tenders have all graciously listened to me go on about at great length, is that once they had a peach-apricot pilsner that was *amazing*. But they'd only brewed it as a seasonal, and for whatever reason have never brought it back. I'm still kicking myself for not getting a growler of it to go. If they served that regularly, I'd give them four stars, easy. read more

A worthy heir to the dozens of bars, saloons, watering holes, speakeasies, and beer halls that populated Brewery Gulch 100 years ago, except the facility is new and inviting, and way too sanitized to reflect the dirty ethic that was the debauched Copper Queen City of yesteryear. Copper City Ale, IPA, various fruity brews, etc., are all well made and enjoyable. The lack of real food (brats and chips was the only option when I was there), is a serious shortcoming for anyone wanting a beer or two with their meal, as opposed to something to fill your stomach to allow you to continue drinking. Historically, definitely accurate considering what used to go on on this street, but not necessarily a good thing now. Still, hanging out in late afternoon light and watching the sunset over the Sky Island Mountains to the west, with a couple of colorful beers is not a bad thing either. read more

I was lucky enough to be looking at the storage tanks and have the Brewmaster, Buster, wander over and tell me about the operation. Ask for him when you visit and he will tell you about the brews and the facility. The young lady behind the counter was very friendly, and helpful, providing some descriptions of the wares to help us make a choice. They also have growlers so if you are local it's a good deal to pick one up and bring it back for refills. Oh - and the beer - excellent with some fun seasonal offerings. read more

Very rude bar tender. Sprinklers turned on the outdoor seating area beer gets filled with water you basically need a bathing suit.

Cute little micro-brewery in historic Bisbee, a bit off the beaten path so it is not overrun with tourists. The tap room is small, dominated by the serving tanks. There are a few bar seats and scattered high-top tables, and they do have a decent-sized patio area. We stopped in twice during our recent visit - once just for drinks, another time for lunch. My husband enjoys his stout beer thought the Royal Stout was one of the best he'd ever had. I'm not much of a beer drinker, but tasted the stout and actually liked it and got a pint of my own! Go figure. Their lunch menu is limited: brats and sauerkraut - for $5. Not the best brats we've had, but they hit the spot. If you are a micro-brew aficionado, or if you just like beer, stop by this place. The folks are friendly and the brewmasters are more than happy to talk beer! read more

Service very slow. 15 min to get a beer. Place half empty. Ask waiteres for napkins. She did not get fianaly got my own. Wow. Beer ok. Chili good. Try somewhere else. read more

I think as a tourist it is a place to try. I am not a big beer fan but I wanted to try the local brew out. I loved the patio upstairs! Again I am not a beer fan but I opted for the Sampler for $8. Great music! read more

Great tasting brews! Decent prices and a sweet deck to overlook the Gulch. Excellent root beer, too! We'll return.

My husband and I love to try new brews so my brother took us here to try some and have lunch. They had 7 beers on tap so we got the flight and really enjoyed it! Their menu is small but perfect for lunch. We each had hotdog and chili! My nephew was with us but it's not exactly kid friendly. Luckily we had him in a stroller! Would definitely go back for beer! read more

Teeny Tiny but a must visit for tourists. If you want to know what's going on in this tiny town, sit a spell in this tiny bar... Good times and interesting folks! My fiancé liked the double hopped IPA. I don't drink beer but I'm kind of a rootbeer snob... I wasn't a fan of the rootbeer which left me with water. :/ Lesson learned: Be less of a rootbeer snob or learn to like beer. The staff was good and there was a lady there (owner possibly) who was dancing with everyone outside on the patio and made a point to work the room. She was adorable. I'll stop by again when I visit and choke down a beer of some kind. read more

The Salut! is amazing if you don't like beer and the Belgian Tripel is just like I remember from Brussels

I am not a fan of beer but my family does so we have to try new breweries. To my surprise, they have a beer that is made with champagne yeast that I just love. The indoor seating is a bit cramped but the outside area is perfect for friends to gather and have a drink. I hear their brats are good too. read more

There are lots of great places to eat and drink in Bisbee and I wouldn't suggest this as one of them. They were out of their pilsner so I was bummed from the beginning. We ordered a flight to get a feel for their selection. Decent IPAs but nothing really stood out. The bartender was particularly nice or attentive and the vibe was just OK. We left after the flight and went on to the next bar. read more

Really decent beers at OBBC, a couple of seasonal beers as well specialty beers were delicious. Not every beer or wine was my taste, but I appreciate the diversity of choices. The Hazelnut Brandy beer was outstanding, speaking of specialty beers. The sampler flight is the perfect size for those who just want a taste with no wasted. Have some food to sop up the alcohol, but it appears that there are other places to eat. I like the focus on beer, cheers! Cap'n Lefty says be careful on approach due to mountainous terrain, but land here. read more

Old Bisbee Brewing - Breweries Near Me - Bisbee, Arizona

This brewery is only one of two in the whole county, and of those two Old Bisbee is more firmly planted in the area. Every bar in the county has at least one of their beers on tap. Speaking of, the beers here are noticeably unrefined compared to the powerhouse breweries you'd find in Phoenix or Tucson. But their Copper City Ale is insanely good and their Salut! wheat wine is something wholly unique to Bisbee. All their beers can be ordered in a flight, and I highly recommend it. The location is squarely in Brewery Gulch, a historical part of Bisbee that was filled with saloons and other entertainment. This has its pros and cons. Its location attracts people more than anywhere else in Bisbee, but as a result of Bisbee's wonky terrain building space is at a premium. Their bar can only serve a handful of seats, but there are several tables nestled among the fermenting tanks. There's also an upstairs patio area where you can watch the people walking up and down Brewery Gulch and spread your legs out more comfortably. However, when this place gets busy it can be hard to flag down your bartender and order another round for your group when there's so many other people trying to do the same. Always happy to stop on by whenever I'm bar-hopping in Bisbee, but it's not for everyone. They cater to the beer-geek crowd, and it's easy to feel left out if that's not your thing. Give it a try anyway. You'll find a beer there you'll like. read more

Laid back fun brewery in the heart of Bisbee. You must try their signature copper ale and the pilsner. They don't can or bottle but their brew is available all over Bisbee. read more

This place is great. It's in the dead center of Old Town Bisbee. They have great beer and an even better patio. I went there a couple of times each day I was in Bisbee because it a great place for a beer break. read more

The best part about OBBC is the gorgeous outdoor patio! Beyond that, we weren't overly impressed. Beer wasn't cold - flavors may have been better if they were cooler, but the warmer temp left it bitter. The current "special" beverage, which we thought was a limey summer beer, was actually more like a Zima - syrupy and sweet. Not for me. Slow service and mediocre drinks sent us seeking elsewhere. I'd come back to sit on the patio - but next time I'd skip the beer! read more

Local brewery with a selection of home brewed beers on tap, which you can try as samplers (flights). I found the Milk Stout very good, and the Pilsner tasty but not as memorable. I would like to go back and sample more. We also tried a home brewed root beer but it was very flat, though, the taste was there and great. Nice outdoor seating area with some shade, but can get sunny in areas depending on the time of day/year, and some seating near the bar and inside. Good place, good beer. read more

I was interested in a keg for a kegerator. They are the closest and can allow for keg pickup very quickly. compared locally even Sierra vista can't have a keg ready without a weeks notice! Friendly staff and good beer! read more

As some who really likes craft beer, but can also be a little bit picky, I was really impressed with Old Bisbee Brewing! Plus I love a dog friendly bar! As I was looking over the beer list, they all sounded interesting so I knew the sampler was for me! The flight comes with all 7 of their on tap beers (5 that they regularly brew, plus a seasonal and a cast series) for $12! Classic Pilsner #1: Delicious! Probably my second favorite! I can see why they start their tasting tray with this lovable beer. Copper City Ale #2: This was also quite tasty! Double Hopped IPA #3: My FAV! For a double hopped IPA, it was still very balanced and refreshing! Mayan Stout #4: I have never been stout fan. After a quick sip, I convinced my friend to trade her IPA for my stout. Both of us were really happy with this exchange! Salute #5: This was a bit too sweet for my tastes, or it might have just been because I drank two IPA samples before it! I wish I had tried this beer first. Pumpernickel #6: This beer and the pilsner were in a close race for my second favorite beer on the tray. I am bummed that this was a seasonal addition to the flight as I would love to come back and order it again! Cask series #7: The current cask series was a raspberry beer! It was a little sour but in the best way. Great end to the flight! read more

Old Bisbee Brewing - Copper City Ale - Breweries Near Me - Bisbee, Arizona

Old Bisbee Brewing Company is a nice little brewery serving up a handful of homebrew craft beers and delicious brats. The interior is small and gets crowded and loud quickly, so if it's not too chilly, head out to the patio...its much nicer up there and there is plenty of space to enjoy a brew in the sunshine. Service is relaxed but friendly. The only food they serve us is free popcorn (so good) and for $5 you get a delicious beer boiled-grilled brat and a bag of chips...a perfect lunch. Their beer is okay....unfortunately it can be a bit inconsistent, especially with the Mountain Lime. The stout/porter is my favorite and the Copper City is also really good...these are the most consistent of their brews. Overall, this is a nice place to relax and enjoy a beer or brat and people watch in Bisbee. read more

Any local brewery is a Great local brewery! Get the flight, its a taste of everything. Then when you decide which one of the seven you like best....stay the rest of the evening enjoying pints of that one. If you're coming here for food, remember this is a tap house....you get a brat. COME FOR THE BEER....STAY FOR MORE BEER!!! read more

GLUTEN FREE? SAY WHAAAAT?!?! We stopped by Saturday night while on a weekend getaway for our first trip to Bisbee. I am gluten free (severe reaction) and was fully expecting to have to sit this stop on our pub crawl out. I was pleasantly surprised to hear our server tell us that all but 2 of their brews are actually processed to remove gluten to a level below the standard to call it gluten free. I was excited and happy to try a flight of 7 beers they accommodated for my gluten free needs. My flight included: 1. double hopped IPA 2. Copper/ Double 3. Stout + rootbeer 4. Double hopped IPA (again) 5. Stout 6. Black + hopped 7. Salut I normally don't drink beer (regular or gluten free) but since I was in Rome, I might as well imbibe. I was pleasantly surprised that all the beer was great. My favorite was Salut (we bought a growler) and the Stout + rootbeer. They only serve brats, chips and free popcorn so food is limited but stay for the beer and leave with some too. read more

We were really excited to try a local brewery down here in Bisbee. My boyfriend and I got the sampler and were really disappointed. The lighter beers were really watery and the darker IPAs were just eh. The ambience was nice and the server was fine, but without good beer, what is a brewery? I would not recommend it to anyone. read more

I don't know other people's beer taste for these reviews, but I thought each beer was barely mediocre. My wife had the rootbeer and she took one sip and didn't like it. For the beers, it felt like they came out of stale kegs, a flat uninspired aroma and flavor. That said it is in a cool spot in Bisbee with a patio. The food doesn't come out a kitchen, the hot dogs are on heat rollers the kind you find in Circle K. read more

I'd been here twice before and didn't remember liking it either time. All the beers I tried were pretty forgettable, the place felt cramped and, perhaps most importantly, my group of friends never seemed particularly pleased to be there. This time I had the Royal Stout, a beer I sampled previously and didn't get me particularly excited. I got the full pint this round and it's a lot smoother than I first thought. It possesses the very distinctive aftertaste of a classic Irish stout (read: like Guinness) but is sweeter and vaguely earthy. I guess I've finally stumbled on my go-to beer here. Free popcorn is a plus, and there's something viscerally pleasurable about drinking beer next to serving tanks. Plus I dig the soundtrack. A true 3/5. read more

I will never support this place again. Management should be ashamed herself. Bisbee suffered a tragic loss of one of the local youth sending the town into a heartbroken tailspin. One of the bartenders grew up with this young lady, they were like sisters and was devastated. Management refused to give the night off to the bartender even in her state of grief, sobbing and shock. She had to tell them I'm sorry but I just can't drive, it wouldn't be safe, deaths are not planned. They fired her the next day. The parents of this poor little girl are very connected and respected in this community, and this is a slap in the face. We will NOT support treating employees in this way. We will not suppirt this business, its owners or management. Shame on you Brewery!! read more

For the adventurous traveler, a stop at the Old Bisbee Brewing Company is a must. AMAZING! Firstly, I have to say this was the most EPIC New Year's Eve of my life in Bisbee. We started at the Old Bisbee brewing Co. with Winter Apple Ale. Holy delicious batman! I mean truly wonderful beer. Not-to-mention the friendliest staff like ever. We sat on the patio and it was so warm thanks to the heaters I didn't have to even wear my jacket! wurst + bag of chips for $4. probably cheapest dinner within walking distance of our hotel. we tried 7 3-oz beers sampler for $7. i'm not a big beer drinker and even i thought it worth trying them all. they do have different tastes! i'm cheap. thought 7 taster beers worth value, we'll go back for a glass of our favorite each day during this mini mid week vacation. read more

This place is amazing. We got the sampler plates of beer. Most of them were delicious. I think my least favorite was the IPA, but I don't like IPAs, and as far as they go, this one was amazing. My fiancee was all ecstatic to be there, because we watched them brewing beer and he brews his own. My favorite was probably the Winter Apple which they said they had to stop in the next few weeks. The root beer was amazing! We bought three growlers, two of beer and one of root beer to share with Richard's parents. We will be back for sure to try any new beers they may have. read more

Stopped by for a flight of beers and thought the brew was just ok and the space was cramped at the bar. I did enjoy the Salut! which is a wine-alternative popular in France during the vineyard disease years. I've never that served elsewhere and enjoyed the history behind it. read more

as soon as we rolled into bisbee, dropped out bags, we walked the 200 feet to the brewery. it is small, but audacious in tasty beverages. it looks brand new, sparkly clean and sits at the bottom of brewery gulch. on a thursday afternoon, we were the only people there but were greeted promptly and we could bring our dog to their elevated, shaded, and misted patio. i started with a sampler and by god, loved them all. the IPA and hoppy beers don't have that harsh hop taste that many IPA's have. they all seemed to go down very smoothly. in the end, i decided they all deserved a gold star to even my unrefined beer palate (i'm working on it). the service was good, super friendly. they offer brats and chips to nibble on but we decided to get our calories in the liquid form. it was so good, we stopped by a few times during our stay. a definite must go-to in Bisbee. read more
