Baltic porter
Connie G.

I did not realize this place was open until I saw four coupons for it in the 2021 Arizona Craft Beer coupon book. The place is tucked in the corner of a strip mall with no marquee facing the main road; it's hard to know it's even there.. It's the old location of Dave's Electric Beer. For four years it was also Beast Brewing but that closed two years ago. I came in with my beer drinking friend who likes porters and IPAs. I'm more of a wheat beer drinker and like my hefeweizen, witbiers, and wheat ales. Electric doesn't make any of those, but it makes a very good cranberry ale right now. We sampled all five beers on tap. I also liked the Baltic porter. They were out of amber ale and peach ale, but that's reason enough to stop by again to chat some more with owners Natalie and Joe. . No food is served but you can bring your own. They offer some snacks. Friendly dogs are also allowed. You can also bring in your own growler for refills. (They also sell their own) There is some outdoor seating, and what a pretty place to watch the sun set. Pints are $6, 10oz is $4.

My husband loved the Imperial stout beer, and I had a glass of their spicy ginger ale which was amazing. Owner was very friendly.

It was hard to have a conversation or even hear the server at times because of the live music out in the common area of the space. The music was good, it was just rather loud. Otherwise the vibe of the space if enjoyable with its nostalgia and stuff. In the past I've ranked my experience five stars but I had to bring it down a notch. I had the meatloaf dinner and my husband had Copper(something) pasta dish. Both were lukewarm at best. The flavors were still good but it wasn't a hot dish by any means, and the meatloaf was a bit saltier than I remember. For the pasta dish, the warm bread was hotter than the pasta dish itself. We didn't send it back because I noticed the server was handling dishes returned to the kitchen at the next table, and our dishes weren't cold or anything, they were just warm. I still maintain they absolutely deserve four stars because I suspect the kitchen might have been having an off night and the food was very good (just the meatloaf was a tad salty). We really enjoyed the mushroom appetizer and the beer selection is excellent.

It felt so special, like we had our own little corner of Bisbee to enjoy the evening. We started with the appetizer sampler, and every single bite was incredible. Each item was thoughtfully prepared and absolutely delicious. It set the tone for what turned out to be an unforgettable meal. For our entrées, my husband ordered the duck and could not stop raving about it. It was perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. I had the Chilean sea bass, and I'm still thinking about it. It was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, buttery, and it truly melted in my mouth. As if that wasn't enough, it was paired with prawns and lobster ravioli... just beyond delicious. Okay, I also have to mention the salad. The salad was fresh and amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were served a lime palate cleanser before our entrée. Such a thoughtful and elevated touch. We were honestly blown away. Our server was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. It made the entire experience feel warm and personal It's rare to come across service that truly enhances a meal like that. And dessert... the crème brûlée was to die for. We paired it with a 10-year tawny port, and it was the perfect ending. It was smooth, rich, and indulgent in all the best ways. This was more than just dinner; it was an experience. Café Roka delivered excellence from start to finish, and we will absolutely be back. To our wonderful server: May kindness you give return to you tenfold, May your path be light, your days be warm, And may every table you serve be filled with gratitude and joy.

Queen Mine Tours - Straddling mine train ... find a new friend !

Queen Mine Tours

Bisbee is only about 10 miles from the Mexican border and about two hours south of Tucson…read more However, the Queen Copper Mine Tour is very worth visiting. Every mine tour I've been on has been different and it's fun to see how they do it. With this tour, you are on the ground level and take a tram into the mine. You get off at various spots, but you won't do very much walking (there is a short flight of stairs to one of the stops). The tour guides are very knowledgeable and seems as if some of them actually had worked in the mine. Being a miner is definitely one of the most difficult, dirty, dangerous and labor intensive that a person can do, and it does make you appreciate how much work and effort it takes to extract any metal or mineral from a mine. The tour does a great job of explaining the process and how technology advancements changed over time from the late 1800's until the mine closed in 1975 Practical Information: 1. Make a reservation online, in advance. Traveling to Brisbee and finding out that you either you have to wait several hours for an open tour, or that they are sold out for the day is NOT something you want. 2. It's really not cold in the mine, since the part you visit is not underground, so you might want a sweatshirt or a light jacket, but that's about all. 3. Don't be late because once the tour starts, you forfeit your place if you aren't there when they leave. 4. The actual tour is about an hour.

Wonderful experience on the tour!…read more **Make sure you buy on their site before you get here... we did but they sold out for a lot of people! ** You take a mine cart into the middle of the mountain, and your tour guide will show you what they did in the past to get the copper out of the mine. It was a very unique tour as the others around Tombstone do not have this same type of experience. The only downfall I had was the extra information when it came to questions. Our tour guide seemed agitated even though he asked if others had questions and honestly didn't seem to know the answers more than what he was told to say. Other than that, well worth the tour and the money (also some cheap bottles of water in the store inside)
