Nice pub in great location on High Street in Aberlady. Good food, much of it locally sourced, and a good range of beers and wines, etc. Garden at rear, nice log fire for the colder months, dog friendly, and very welcoming hosts. Great staff too offer advice and info about the meals, etc. Accommodation available too - 6 letting rooms, all at reasonable rates for the location. Big TV only really on for the sports events on occasion, so no intrusive glaring screen all the time. Recommended for a good lunch or drink, a break in the East Lothian area - use as a base for golf, birding, or just to enjoy the nearby beaches - Gullane, Yellowcraigs, even Seacliff or Ravensheugh perhaps (a couple of real gems only a few miles away along the coast) and take in the scenery. Definitely worth a visit. read more
