Off Track Brewing - Trivia Night #2. You never know who you'll run into. Smiling faces!

They have 9 taps for beer and have quite the selection. Currently they have 'good grief charlie' a brown ale and 'wheat in the knees' which were all amazing. They have a tiny kitchen with a small but heart menu of salads, chilli cheese dogs and flatbreads (and a few other things). The staff are absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and will do anything for you, as someone who prefers a root beer to beer - they went out of their way to get me a sprite (which blew my mind). My partner absolutely enjoyed this lovely time. They also have a few games to play! Highly recommend this little brewery, it's small but it is mighty delicious.

Love this place!…read more Been going since it opened last December and it's always a great experience. Follow them on Facebook and Twitter and I think Instagram too - so you know their hours, what's new on tap, what's on the guest taps (buy local!). Trivia night #2 was a success! We ordered pizza this time from Rocky Lake Pizza across the street and omg that was the perfect meal paired with the perfect Off Track brew. I had the Sessional IPA on tap 8 (I forgot the name) and it was soooo tasty that I had two (not like me). The rest of my party went for the Damn Skippy (peanut butter mmmmm - you have to try it). Flights are a way to sample several brews - usually I do that. Love the merch! Normally, I don't buy this stuff from places but I have several items already and I'm most definitely getting the zip up hoodie next time. Lots more I can say, like... Dog friendly establishment. Projector for watching "the sports". Clean. Friendly faces - who will explain the various brews on tap. No kitchen - but you can bring your food there - ask the guys, they'll be happy to help.

It's great to live close to a place like Sea Level Brewing. In the same building as The Port Pub,…read moreSea Level provides their microbrewed beer. With nice range of beer ranging from ales to porter. There is a regular selection of 4 core brews (Planters Pale Ale, Rojo Mojo Red Ale, Blue Heron Extra Special Bitter, and Port in a Storm Porter) with an interesting seasonal beer (the most recent one was Dussel-Port Altbier) to keep things interesting. Brewmaster Randy Lawrence is friendly and cares about the beer that he makes. For locals there are refillable growlers (1 L bottles) and there are individual 650 mL bottles. They also have party kegs if you need more beer. Being able to have locally-brewed beer made with local ingredients is one of the very nice parts of living in a beautiful agricultural area with people who are committed to making great things where they live.

extremely unhappy with my service here. I arrived and asked the woman helping us to tell me a…read morelittle bit about the beers and she was completely clueless about every single one. so much so, that she grabbed the sheet, clearly made for staff use and told me to read it to learn about the beer. They also do not fill any growlers that aren't their own (unheard of for micro breweries.. i consider it a hobby to travel to different breweries and fill existing growlers). She then suggested i could get some different cans BUT didn't tell me they only sell 6 packs of each one. the entire point of a craft brewery is sampling different ones. if the woman serving me had been helpful or friendly that would have compensated for their other short comings.

The Hunky dory is a pale ale made with some interesting stuff like citrus zest and green tea? What? But it works light fresh at 5%. Then they have the Temptation red mmmmm a rich yet very drinkable red beer they say on the bottle it is like a sultry jazz singer in my glass. I did not see her because I sucked all the beer straight out of the bottle. Temptation rings in at 6% yum. Now may I introduce to you a real heavy weight mans man kind of beer whatever that means? I hear people say that kind of thing all the time? The vicars cross double IPA it is 8.5% yet even my wife said "I like it" then I told her that is an 8.5% and she seemed surprised. This double IPA has punch but you do not really notice it as much as you would expect at this % and style of beer. The only thing I did notice was on the double IPA bottles which are sold in the 650 ML size is that the fill lines are really all over the place. I got one where the fill is at the bottom of the bottle neck and one near the top and some are in the middle of the bottle neck where you would expect it. Here are some places I found this beer. It was a bit of a hunt so this info may help. Call ahead before heading out to get some if you can to make sure they have it in stock. NSLC Barrington has Hunky dory in a 6 pack $12.99 Bishops cellar has Hunky dory $13.00 and temptation red $13.50 in the 6 pack Boxing rock booth at the seaport Market on Saturday has the Vicars Cross in 650 ml bottles $5.00 + growlers and tastings all three beers.
