Such an awesome place right by the cruise port. Nice staff and great selection of beers! We got to sit outside on a gorgeous day and have some delicious beers!

Beer on tap!

Touring Halifax from ship. Rainy and a bit dreary out, found this local brewery with great beers on tap. Got a "Oh My Gourd" on tap and was fantastic! Perfect for the "fall feels"! Come on in, rainy or sunny and have a great beer and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Dogs welcome! We only have a few hours here and we we're happy to spend some time at Garrison's brewery.

5/30/23 My tasters; settled for my usual Irish Red

Quality/Quantity - Left Propeller Brewing Company too early... So I ended my day and stopped by this brewery across the street from the port. Irish Red - One of my favorite beers. :) Had a few tasters of the other flavors, all were good, but I have gone back to being a "red" drinker. Overall decent beer selection, also available: wine, beer cocktails, sods, etc. Atmosphere - Cool convenient space/location. Cool decor. Indoor/outdoor seating. Indoor counter, table, lounge seating. Free wifi. Clean bathrooms. Dog friendly, both indoor and outdoor. Huge to-go cooler, probably for the locals...? Service - Okay. Price - See menu. Owner Suggestion - Congrats on your success since 1977 and fitting for me that your first beer was the Irish Red. Congrats on your success since 2006 opening this location.

The atmosphere at this spot is fantastic! They offer a solid beer selection and an impressive array of delicious hot sauces to take home. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Tried the Hoppy Boy IPA. It was delicious

Tried the Hoppy Boy IPA. It was delicious. A must spot to try when in Halifax Nova Scotia Canada

Really enjoyed this place. It's right in the port and they have beer and cider. I did a flight of beer and then had a cider. Also bought a very nice t shirt which is my souvenir of Halifax. The vibe is enjoyable here. There's plenty of outside and inside seating. Lots of beers to choose from. Cans and cases are available too. It's a very nice place to relax.

Flight of beers. Types are listed on the board.

Port of Call for a cruise we were on. Location is great for a beer or flight of beers and then sit outside to enjoy the day. We ordered one flight of beers and a glass of red after we toured the city. All beers were delicious. Friendly staff, nice space (inside and out), great beer selection. Stop in and have a beer!

Came off the cruise ship and did some touring around. After the tours I stopped by this place for some beer. Nice spot on the waterfront walk, just no view of water. Great selection of beers and tasty too. Staff is friendly and dogs are allowed.

End of barrel flight.

Cool set up with lots of outdoor seating before getting back on the cruise. Lots of people doing flights. Beer ok.

Tasty little brewery very close to the cruise ship port! Good selection of cold brews. Outdoor seating is available. Nice place!

It was fun to check out Garrison Brewing Co. this afternoon, which is down by the waterfront. There were lots of beer on tap to choose from. Their raspberry wheat beer was yummy (and I'm not a fan of wheat beer). I loved this place because it was dog friendly ... and there were lots of dogs! Neat brewery to check out and I'll be back!

Dog Beer and a bowl - share a pint with your pup!

Love this place! We travel with our service dog, and we never know how we'll be received, especially outside of the U.S. - this place brought a giant smile though! Not only do they allow service dogs, they allow all dogs and they encourage you to have a pint with your pooch, selling canine safe brew (that she loved!)

Tasting

This brewery sits on a prominent corner on the harbor front boardwalk. We stopped in for an afternoon of tasting since the weather was unseasonably warm. There is a small store that sells shirt, beer and other souvenirs. The other half of the building sells 5oz tastings or full flights consisting of 5 tastings(5oz) for 10 CND. Since they are not a restaurant they don't sell pints or anything larger than 5 oz. We sampled 2 flights varying from cider to very hoppy. The beers were very good. The place has a great outdoor area and it was definitely busy on this warm day.

Cool tables that feature different flags. I had to go with the Canadian one since I'm in Canada!

They have 9 taps for beer and have quite the selection. Currently they have 'good grief charlie' a brown ale and 'wheat in the knees' which were all amazing. They have a tiny kitchen with a small but heart menu of salads, chilli cheese dogs and flatbreads (and a few other things). The staff are absolutely amazing, knowledgeable and will do anything for you, as someone who prefers a root beer to beer - they went out of their way to get me a sprite (which blew my mind). My partner absolutely enjoyed this lovely time. They also have a few games to play! Highly recommend this little brewery, it's small but it is mighty delicious.

Love this place!…read more Been going since it opened last December and it's always a great experience. Follow them on Facebook and Twitter and I think Instagram too - so you know their hours, what's new on tap, what's on the guest taps (buy local!). Trivia night #2 was a success! We ordered pizza this time from Rocky Lake Pizza across the street and omg that was the perfect meal paired with the perfect Off Track brew. I had the Sessional IPA on tap 8 (I forgot the name) and it was soooo tasty that I had two (not like me). The rest of my party went for the Damn Skippy (peanut butter mmmmm - you have to try it). Flights are a way to sample several brews - usually I do that. Love the merch! Normally, I don't buy this stuff from places but I have several items already and I'm most definitely getting the zip up hoodie next time. Lots more I can say, like... Dog friendly establishment. Projector for watching "the sports". Clean. Friendly faces - who will explain the various brews on tap. No kitchen - but you can bring your food there - ask the guys, they'll be happy to help.

With nice range of beer ranging from ales to porter. There is a regular selection of 4 core brews (Planters Pale Ale, Rojo Mojo Red Ale, Blue Heron Extra Special Bitter, and Port in a Storm Porter) with an interesting seasonal beer (the most recent one was Dussel-Port Altbier) to keep things interesting. Brewmaster Randy Lawrence is friendly and cares about the beer that he makes. For locals there are refillable growlers (1 L bottles) and there are individual 650 mL bottles. They also have party kegs if you need more beer. Being able to have locally-brewed beer made with local ingredients is one of the very nice parts of living in a beautiful agricultural area with people who are committed to making great things where they live.

They also do not fill any growlers that aren't their own (unheard of for micro breweries.. i consider it a hobby to travel to different breweries and fill existing growlers). She then suggested i could get some different cans BUT didn't tell me they only sell 6 packs of each one. the entire point of a craft brewery is sampling different ones. if the woman serving me had been helpful or friendly that would have compensated for their other short comings.

The only thing I did notice was on the double IPA bottles which are sold in the 650 ML size is that the fill lines are really all over the place.
