    OKI Curry Ramen
    Miah F.

Do you know how dang good a ramen spot has to be to frequent it twice in a week! This curry ramen has won my heart over. The broth is curated to perfection, piping hot, creaming, layered spices dance on your tongue. The crispy chicken somehow stays crisp throughout the dining experience. All the other goodies on top add both texture and flavor for a bite that has you going back for more each time. Both times I ordered my bowl was licked clean! It is a bit pricy (around the 20ish range) however in my opinion the portions make it worth. The inside of the restaurant only adds to the experience as you are surrounded by quirky pops of color and art!

Expansive menu, huge portions, great service, and most importantly DELICIOUS RAMEN! Cant go wrong here, will definitely be back!

Unique atmosphere and Ramen was delicious. It's not a typical ramen bowl. Strawberry lemonade was a bit tart, but still good. $35 after tip for one person.

Kale was super delicious! Eel bowl was good but eel a tiny bit over overcooked. And needed more sauce but otherwise delucious!

This is now called, Oki Shoten. I love the menu at this place and can't wait to go back to try more dishes. I wasn't very hungry on my last visit so I just ordered the Dumpling Curry, Tofu Tempura, and Taro Milk Boba Tea. It was all delicious and I had enough leftovers for two more meals. I tried a piece of my friend's kale tempura (from the Galanga Ramen) and it was insanely good. I could have a bowl of just the kale. Not sure if they sell kale tempura separately but they should!

OKI Bowl is an adorable spot in Georgetown that is always a solid option for your ramen cravings! I have been here twice and have always gotten the Oki Curry Ramen - a delicious curry ramen with crispy fried chicken, onions, and noodles. So flavorful and comforting! Not too spicy and uses quality ingredients. The ambiance is very colorful and clean. Each member of the staff helps you feel right at home and is very accommodating. Note you pay via Toast that cannot be split between different people. Here is where Venmo comes in handy! Will always love OKI Bowl!

Three stars for great service. Wanted to love it. Cute place, the menu looked so yummy! But no. The ramen lacked flavor! I ordered the spicy Tom Yum shrimp ramen bowl and my daughter ordered the miso bowl. We needed seasoning! We asked for soy sauce and they seemed puzzled. It was brought over and then several minutes later they asked if we were done using it and took it back. Like what? Y'all only got one bottle for everyone? The broth was bland which caused my spicy broth to really stand out more in heat. My daughter always likes miso broth because it's always a bit thicker than regular broths. It was not flavorful. The egg was delicious and the tempura shrimp were good. For $50 it was a no. Wouldn't recommend the two bowls we got. Maybe something else is better?

This little ramen shop is so cute inside! The ambiance and décor are amazing. I got the yakisoba noodles -- they were very good and flavorful, just a bit overpriced.

Very nice staff, cute decor inside but the food we got was so-so. Mine was hot fried chicken over rice. 80% rice and the chicken tasted like it came from Giant or Safeway frozen food section. My wife got something else that was also average at best. Hope they improve but not for us.

This place is pretty good. I think its biggest strength is its atmosphere. The place is small, but decorated beautifully and great for a unique lunch. The ramen is pretty good and decent portions. The tea is delicious and they have a good amount of choices. My only thing is the pricing is a little much. Instead of a waiter taking your order, you just order via a QR code that leads to their website. It's nice because you get your order in sooner and it prevents any problems with splitting the bill. But the problem is they add a 22% gratuity fee, which I think is unnecessary given that the service wasn't really anything special. I liked this place and honestly I probably would go back for a scenic lunch with good ramen, but definitely not too often because of those prices.

The service was good they came to use very quickly and were really nice. They say us almost immediately. The place is really cute inside, it def gave me nostalgia with all the old pictures on the walls. The ramen was alright. I feel like there was something missing, it still tasted fine though. I didn't get sick from the ramen, but my boyfriend did. He had to throw up almost basically the rest of the day after eating this. I honestly think he has a weak stomach but idk his stomach was really messed up afterwards.

GALANGA RAMEN with extra toppings of roasted corn, fried tofu, and bamboo shoots

Cozy hole in the wall with ramen bursting with flavor, hearty meaty and vegetarian options! The ambiance is kitschy and unique and best for solo diners and couples or 2 friends. The vegetarian Galanga Ramen is among the best I've had! It came with kale tempura, mushrooms, and I added a hard-boiled egg, bamboo shoots, roasted corn, and fried tofu. While all the toppings were good and helped to elevate the flavor, the coconut sweet broth with a mild spicy kick was truly the highlight of the dish. The ramen noodles were nice and chewy. Great portion size too! Hubby enjoyed the Yakisoba with fried chicken, his only complaint was that there wasn't enough broth. My ramen bowl had signficantly more broth than his. The bubbly Lychee Sake is refreshing and sweet. Hubby liked it so much that he got his own glass! I'm so glad I came here on my birthday with hubby (no kiddos!) It perfectly met my criteria - a delicious warm meal that I can't easily prepare at home and a cozy spot where I can't fit a stroller inside the restaurant. Total capacity is 15-20 people. There's only 1 booth/table seating for 4-5 people and overall not family-friendly for small tots (forget kids menus or high chairs!). Very student friendly though! The staff is nice and takes pride in their food! Among my favorite ramen spots in the city. Skip the restaurants on the main drag on M street and head up to Wisconsin Ave, it's worth the trek up the hill! Looking forward to coming back again!

I likes this place, but did find the ramen to be a little salty My boyfriend had some thoughts of his own too. "watch out for surprise dry ramen. it's good and tasty, and the whole prawn is great, but I love soup and broth too much to be totally okay with this" - boyfriend review

We ordered the Spicy Miso with the spice bomb and egg, along with the veggie ramen with spice bomb. The Spicy Miso was the clear winner--easily one of the most flavorful ramen bowls I've had, with just the right kick and incredible depth. The veggie ramen was also excellent and a great option for vegetarians. We also tried the gyoza, spring rolls, and Sapporo beer. For dessert, we ordered the black sesame ice cream, but the ramen portions were so generous that we were too full to finish it! Service was quick, attentive, and efficient. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a Japanese ramen spot--casual, lively, and unassuming. The food felt authentic and the flavors really stood out. They also have an izakaya upstairs, which we unfortunately didn't get a chance to try. Definitely saving that for the next visit!

My dining buddy had a small delay with getting his bowl since there was a rush of people seated at the same time. Overall a solid ramen shop! I did notice that they do not yell "Irasshaimase!" at you upon arrival. It adds to the ambiance when they do that.

I found Toryumon while looking for dinner before a show at DAR Constitution Hall, and it has quickly become one of my favorite sushi values in the city. The restaurant is tucked away in a basement space with little visibility from the street beyond its signage, but downstairs is a sushi lover's paradise. The all you can eat menu is stacked with creative specialty rolls, appetizers, nigiri, and ramen. The biggest surprise is the availability of premium ingredients rarely included at this price, such as hotate scallops and sweet shrimp. On our most recent Sunday visit, our group of four ordered around half a dozen rolls and more than 20 pieces of nigiri. Everything was fresh, and the classic tuna and yellowtail scallion rolls had an excellent fish to rice ratio of about 80 percent fish to 20 percent rice. One sleeper appetizer worth ordering is the wasabi dusted french fries, which we kept munching on as a palate cleanser between rounds of sushi. A word of caution before going wild with the order sheet. The specialty rolls are huge, and the nigiri can be rice heavy, so it is very easy to overorder. You also have a strict 90 minute window beginning with your first order. When the restaurant is busy, the sushi bar can become overwhelmed, so plan carefully and include everything you really want in that first round. At roughly $38 per person after tax, Toryumon offers some of the best bang for your sushi buck in DC.

Service was fabulous. Lots of options on the all-you-can eat memu. We started out with miso soup that was rich, delicious and had just the right amount of seaweed and finely diced tofu. The kanji salad was outstanding, the best I've ever come across. We loved the pork gyoza, ceviche and shumai. I also loved the beef hibachi, which came with vegetables, fried rice, and a most delicious dipping sauce. I'm not sure how they prepared it, but the endamame was especially tasty. The agu dashi was different than we expected. Usually it comes in broth, but Toryumon's agu dashi was fried tofu squares with an excellent dipping sauce. The spider and double spicy rolls were decent, but were shaped too large and in a little rough around the edges in appearance. Flavorwise, they were still good.
