I was in the area and needed to kill time. I've been on a sushi kick lately, so this is where I found myself. I started with the fire ball. It had a layer of salmon, crab, avocado and eel, and then topped with sauce. It was very flavorful and fresh. For my sushi rolls I had a spicy salmon roll and a spicy tuna roll. Spice was on point. Everything was very fresh and delicious. It is small inside, but they do have some tables. Service was excellent. My water was never empty as it was constantly refilled. I also requested no "crunch" in my sushi rolls. I was then informed the fire hall had crunch. They easily accommodated me and didn't put "crunch" in anything. I'd definitely be back! read more

Long time since I've been to this place. They opened up before I left for college, so I haven't been back in years. However, I saw that they opened up recently this week from being closed in a while as many other small businesses have. They have taken great precautions in keeping their staff and customers healthy. They have places tables at their doorway, and have a plastic barrier behind the tables leading into their dining room. So there is very limited interactions between you and the staff. They have also placed a sign on their outer door that says "one at a time" so only one person is in the lobby at each given time. I tried to order a lunch special today, but they only had dinner prices avalible. This is understandable, as most places can't afford to offer discounts right now. I ordered the vegetable tempura and it was really good! Came with rice, miso soup/salad, and sauce. I'm not sure what the sauce was, it wasn't very salty, and not very oily, it went really well with the food. read more

My coworkers raves about the sushi at Okeno and I've been pleased with each order we've placed. There was something extra special about my recent order though, hence the review. I ordered a Happy Roll which has snow crab, a crab stick, shrimp, and is topped with scallion. I also had a Snow Crab Avocado roll which I think you can guess what it entailed lol. Both were very fresh, flavorful, and perfectly enhanced by a drizzle of soy sauce. I look forward to my next lunch order with Okeno. Give them a try! read more

Not sure how there are so many positive reviews most likely because its the only sushi place in town . First of all the rolls are extremely small. Rice has absolutely no flavor and fish definitely low quality. But i cant get past all of this but the attitude of the owner is extremely rude . Spent $60 on a takeout order and asked for a tiny 2 oz cup of teriyaki sauce and owner tried charging me extra money and stated everyone pays extra. Long story short when your the only sushi place in town you can treat customers like garbage and they can . Bottomline the sushi absolutely iisnt fresh and there attitude is worse I wouldnt reccomend and go to mikado in center moriches 10 miles away read more

OMG! This place is one of the best places I have ever eaten at. The fish is fresh. The rolls are even better. I purchased a little of everything to try. I first tried the fire ball. It is made of salmon salad with avocado and topped with eel. Not hot and spicy to me. Then I got the baby octopus.another fantastic appetizer. Worth the try if you will eat octopus. You get about a dozen whole baby octopus. Next appetizer was the tuna carpaccio with wasabi sauce.. The sauce is not very hot like regular wasabi. It's very good and we didn't have enough. The tuna was seared perfect and so tender. If that wasn't enough we got two rolls ,the red dragon roll and the crazy roll. The restaurant has limited seating but will deliver using door dash and of course take out orders.
