a variety of sushi and other foods

I've been eating Keto for several months and was HUNGRY last night. Sumou was on my way home so I stopped. I was not able to dine in due to the hour, it was not a problem for me, totally understandable. I ordered the 2 special rolls advertised on their board: pumpkin roll and October roll. I cannot find what they are made of but I highly recommend them. I also ordered the Kani Salad which I dug into once in my car. The rolls are large and were difficult to pick up and virtually disintegrated when dipped (not soaked) in the soy sauce. Since I was eating at home I didn't find this problematic, I would have been disappointed if I was eating at the restaurant. I like the atmosphere and decor but it seemed that it would be noisy when fully seated. I recommend and will be dining in at my next opportunity.

Went to grab sushi i got two Shrimp Tempura rolls and edamame I called over the phone so it was ready when I got there was greeted by the host who gave me my food. This restaurant maintains a clean and comfortable dining experience for everyone - #foodieztm

The best sushi in patchogue hands down! Forget about fighting the patchogue village crowd. This place is the real deal

So I went to this place after a long day of shopping and eating. So I wasn't really hungry upon showing up but that changed real quick once I started eating. First impression is it was very clean, got there at 8:30 it was very busy but they still got us seated right away. The whole staff was extremely friendly. You sit down they give you hot towelettes to clean your hands and face ( I prefer this over towels because I don't trust how clean they can be). They also gave the table 3 bowls of edamame. As we were sitting she took our drink orders, we didn't get anything fancy just beers, water, soda, and hot sake. We first ordered a couple of appetizers which were delicious. Wasabi shumai, pork goyza , and vegetable goyza ( I probably butchered the spelling) they were all delicious. For the main dish I ordered the bento box with shrimp teriyaki and beef negamaki. This box is $19.99 but you get so much and a soup and salad. (Only downfall of night was they forgot my soup and salad so it came out with meal) the rest of the table got about 5 differently specialty rolls. I only had room to try out a couple but they were so good and everyone else loved them. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is so fresh and presented well. Two people at the table ordered red bean ice cream which I was to full to try but looked yummy. So all in all I really enjoyed this place. Like I said I wasn't really hungry but still was able to force myself into finishing my meal lol. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for top notch Japanese food. Oh and they also have hibachi if that's what you're in the mood for. Sorry for lack of pictures, I was just extremely tired and worn out and by the time I remembered half the sushi was eaten.

Don't judge a book by its cover! On the outside, this place doesn't look like much, but I have to say: I was really impressed overall with the sushi here. First off, the menu is HUGE. The choices are endless, and the sushi prices range from inexpensive to expected. I loved the sushi appetizer - Yankee sandwhich. It was really unique and had eggplant, which I don't think I've seen before in sushi. All the rolls were delicious - the standout for me being the Volcano roll which featured fried pineapple. Service was a little spotty - one server refilled the waters almost too much - in the beginning though we got our appetizer before our drinks, and it took a little while to order in general. Other than that, the rolls came out in no time. They also give complementary edamame before your meal, and cut up pineapple afterward - a nice touch. The good reviews for this place lured me in initially, but the tasty specialty rolls have me wanting to visit again very soon.

I came in during a lunch-ish time - 2:30 on a Thursday. Pretty quiet but whatever. Was seated immediately and given a lot of attention. In keen on going back to try other fish based sushi but overall it hit the spot for what I was looking for. The little Asian worker at the counter could barely understand a word we were saying. We tried explaining our order multiple times but the language barrier was insane. She just nodded and charged us anyway. When we got our food and the bill, we realized they had overcharged us by $25 with random fees and "extras" we never asked for. We tried to dispute it right there but she played dumb and refused to fix it. Now I'm short on cash and literally cannot pay my rent this month because of this place. $25 might not seem like much to them, but it's everything to me right now. Do NOT go here unless you want to get scammed by people who don't even speak English properly and can't run a register right. Complete rip-off. Stay away!

Dark paneled, highly polished wood and Asian accent prices blend with low lighting, neon and the ambient pulsing of low-key club music. Our waiter was... stoic. Huggy feely was not on the menu apparently. But that was fine. He was prompt and attentive and that's all we really want when we head out. Fairly extensive menu with a lot of sushi-house standards as well as their own specialty rolls (which, I guess, is a pretty standard thing to do as well). We got the ceviche for an app which was very small and pretty basic. Also got the Crunchy Crunchy Crunchy which was more interesting. Soft, spicy tuna provided a nice counterbalance to the fried seaweed. Oyster Bay roll featured a thin slice of jalapeño on top of each piece with a dollop of spicy Mayo. Not really hot (then again, I tend to like napalm on my wings) but had a pleasant and persistent kick. We have ordered takeout as well. Their Thai options seem to be fairly done. They should get an award for the most over-the-top take out bags. Overall, a nice night out. Happy with the service, ambiance and, most importantly, the food. We'll be back!

I'd seen the reviews about gruff servers on here before but shrugged it off as many times people exaggerate and the proximity to mom's home made it a convenient spot to go, plus my kids love hibachi so why not give it a shot. Called a week ahead and made a 4pm reservation, no issues there. Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperating and we got stuck in traffic during the downpour, causing us to arrive at about 4:15. The front desk was empty and we waited about 5 minutes before anyone came to check us in, then another 5 or so before we were told our table was ready - not a big deal on our end, but the hostess felt compelled to shame me in front of everyone. With my family standing around and other guests in earshot as we're told the table is ready I get "Next time you need to be on time, we held seats for you!". At this point I seriously considered just walking out, especially when I saw the number of empty tables there were in the hibachi area when we were seated but decided to roll with it for the family's sake. To make matters worse we weren't even seated, just trying to corral a 2 year old into his booster seat and the waitress is wanting drink orders, not even asking if we're ready just what do you want to drink. This was far from a pleasant way to begin the meal. Thankfully once this debacle was over and done with the rest was smooth sailing. To be fair our chef was fantastic with the kids, very engaging and threw them some little toys while he worked to keep them going. And the food turned out to be quite good as well so it wasn't a complete failure thankfully. All in all a good meal but points off for the horrid customer service up front. Things happen, people run late sometimes especially in bad weather - no need for the public shaming especially when half the dining room is empty. Probably more like 3.5 stars in light of that but I'll round up here since the family wound up enjoying in the end.

The staff was nice and service was quite fast. First up... Wasabi Shumai = major disappointment. Straight from the freezer and freezer burn included. Quite bland and no wasabi flavor at all. Next up... Garlic Fried Oysters = my husband had one and pushed the plate toward me and said "no thank you". I ate them because I won't waste food. We're used to having fried oysters prepared with a breadcrumb or panko crust, these are done with tempura which would be fine if they were cooked golden but these were not. The undercooked tempura actually slipped right off of the oyster as I took a bite, it left me with 3 naked gooey oysters to be eaten on their own. The baby Bok Choy was Delicious!! Chopped nicely in a decadent garlic sauce. We ordered one avocado roll to see if we'd be ordering entrees. The roll was so small the decorative flower was the main attraction on the plate and the mysterious green gelatinous globs that covered the roll left us wondering what roll did we order. Not sure why we had such a disappointing meal when there are quite a few excellent reviews. We thought going in early on a Saturday before the evening rush, would guarantee us the freshest and most appetizing experience but we were very wrong.
