While in the area, I thought I'd try some good old Telmex for lunch. The pictures made it look like the place to try but unfortunately the taste isn't there. The service was great but the food tasted like an elementary school cafeteria made it. The salsa was like pasta sauce with an extra kick...weird. I tried the queso, the beef enchiladas, and something called a cheese soft taco which was basically a cheese enchilada. It just wasn't good so I ended up not eating most of it.

The service, food and overall atmosphere is always on point here. We are regulars and love the speedy and friendly service. La familia. Happy hour M-F with specials for dinner too. Sunday is 1/2 price regular margaritas. If you love menudo, your taste buds will eXpLoDe. A bit on the higher price, but your server and everyone will remember you.

Fajita Nachos

I'm not a fan of the Fajita Nachos. Found some hair on them and sent them back. I also had the house margarita and it wasn't good at all. I will say the staff there are really nice. Perhaps it was a bad day but it's not for me.

The people was nice, the atmosphere was okay. Some enjoyed the food others thought it was okay. I had Fajita Chimichangas with a salad was decent but the ranch was no good.

Peeps! I took a chance because the parking lot was jumping. Glad I did. The inside is huge and gives old Spain feel. The staff is very friendly and the food is definitely on point. I had the supreme nachos this time but will check them out again. Owner is into elephants by the way. Come thru and tell them PK sent you!

I always enjoy getting to-go orders from here and decided to eat in this time. For starters, I had good customer service and the food was good as always. For starters, I ordered the large guacamole dip (which are scoops of guacamole). For the pricing, it could be a little more and more of a "dip" form. It is still delicious and fresh. As an entree, I ordered the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas and they came out fresh and hot. I would definitely get these again! The strawberry margarita (size small) was tasty but could've been a little more mixed together. Overall, I'll definitely be coming back as I always order Mexican food from here!

My family has been coming here since I was a little girl and it always hits the spot! We drive over 30 minutes and it's our favorite on tex mex! Service is always great we never run out of chips, both salsas are my favorite! And the food is always coming out fast!

Went to catch one of the weekday specials but ended up sharing fajitas! Service was great, prices are affordable & the food/drinks were good! definitely going back soon! Weekday specials are $7.95

Charro Navy Beans. Where are the pinto beans?

The only thing I order are the sour cream and chicken nachos and I love them. I've tried other items, but didn't like them, but try for yourself. See photos for other comments

I stopped in because I was starving and needed lunch, sat at the bar, and when I say the service was 1000% on point, I truly mean it. I ordered my food to go and also got a drink to go, and while I was waiting, the bartender made me a small drink to enjoy at the bar. That was such a thoughtful touch. He also gave me chips and salsa and was extremely attentive and genuinely nice the entire time. I love good customer service, so I will absolutely rave about this place. The food was great, the service was top-tier, and they wrapped everything perfectly with plastic wrap for my to-go order 10 out of 10. Even though I'm not a big Mexican food eater, I will definitely be back just because of the service alone... and those grilled shrimp nachos . Also the ambience was so nice. they had the games playing so if you wanna go watch the game have some good food. This is the place and the drinks..... so good you only need one lol

Our waitress took our order, brought the food, and never checked on us again. The only positive thing I can say is that the beans and rice were actually pretty good. They've always been very nice to us when we've gone and if we ever needed anything, we're usually one of 3 groups there so it's easy to walk up to the counter and ask for anything else. Polish up on your Spanish I was most impressed with the complimentary chips w/3 types of salsa and small bowls of frijoles a la charra for each of us YUM the beans were D-lish! I like to try what hasn't been reviewed yet so I had the Pozole Rojo (red hominy soup w/pork meat & spices) Very big serving bowl with lots of broth w/plain crisp tostadas x3. The Menudo and the Pozole were definitely at least a level 3 spice for me (but I'ma wimp when it comes to spice). The menudo, same generous size bowl, was too spicy for Ma so we took it to-go for my dad. Bro ordered Enchiladas Verdes plate w/chicken.. again very generous portion w/4 enchiladas rice n beans. The green sauce was a little spicy as well for him. He only ate half. Grandson ordered beef asada quesadilla plate which he loved served with rice and beans. Granddaughter ordered 2 plain bean and cheese tostadas but expected cheddar cheese and not queso fresco... well, I gobbled those up for her too! To drink, sweet tea has free refills, the large Jamaica was tasty, and the kids opted for Jarritos. It was 84.99 for three adults and two kids. A little pricy in my opinion but I'd go again to try more menu entrees.

We we're thinking Olive Garden but my sister wanted to try this place. This place is massive on the outside, I couldn't remember if it was a furniture or electronic store before. When you enter it wasn't a big space like I imagined but medium. The waiter explained that the huge space that you notice on the outside is utilized making tortilla and other foods. We ordered our food and about ten minutes later it was already on the table. I went with the chicken nachos and I can say they were really good. When I looked around the room the staff constantly checked on our tables, we had good service. Great experience!

I ordered the Polo Monterey. It looked appetizing but the chicken had a rubbery texture & a weird smell to it. I put 1 piece in my mouth, chewed it up, & immediately spit it out. I had the others at my table smell it & both agreed it smelled off. I called over the waiter & nicely explained the chicken breast had a weird texture & odd smell to it & I thought it was spoiled. He got VERY defensive. He tried to say the cook puts a thin layer of sour cream on the chicken before the verde sauce goes on. I asked him if that was the case then why isn't sour cream listed on the menu ingredients. He said he doesn't know but he said the chicken is good. I said ok if you say it has sour cream where is the white layer because there isn't one. He couldn't explain that one or explain the weird rubbery texture the chicken had. He tried to get me to order something else but there was no way I'd risk getting sick. He got annoyed and just walked away. He went about helping other tables and my two friends finished went on to eating their meals (with severe caution). I just ate the so-so salsa & chips while my 2 friends ate their food. (The chips were good by the way but the salsa was just meh.) While eating their meals the salsa bowls & water glasses went empty & where was the waiter??? He was sitting down, with a cook at a table, and both were eating. There were at least 5 other tables of guests in the restaurant & the waiter got up ONLY after he finished his meal to attend to them...so unprofessional!!! The cook got up every now and then to attend to something in the kitchen but he always went back to the table to eat more food. I'm not sure how the health department handles this but to me it was incredibly tacky. So to make matters even worse this morning I woke up with diarrhea. But the "chicken was good" said the defensive male waiter...so if the chicken was good why did I get diarrhea and one other person from my table, who ordered tamales, get a stomachache? Sure it could be a coincidence but it's highly unlikely. I'll never go to this place again. Good Mexican food can be found all over the great state of Texas but sadly it can NOT be found here.
