I ordered the lunch special Alaskan roll and the spicy tuna. It was so amazing wonderful quality of fish. Also the miso was flavorful and warm. I'm really excited about this place. Good affordable sushi and very friendly service. I had the pleasure of trying their lunch sushi (choose 2 and miso soup for $10). I give them a 4.5 star rating and the only reason I am not giving them a 5 is just my personal preference. I like my sushi rice with vinegar flavor. That's really about it. Also tasted their chicken teriyaki bento and I liked it too. The teriyaki was not too overly sweet and chicken was perfectly cooked. I'm going to make an effort to come back soon and try their Mongolian dishes. The owner, Eric, highly recommends trying them. Final verdict is this is a true hidden gem in Orem. First thing first. Best sushi in Utah valley. Period. I've been to all these fancy and less fancy places in Utah valley and this is easily the best. The quality is high, the flavor is superb and the presentation is great. If you haven't been here, go! This place should be jammed packed! Tell your friends! When it comes to sushi, it's hard to find amazingly fresh fish in Utah. This place is as good as it gets in a landlocked state. So why only 4 stars? They have some decent rolls and the fish is fairly fresh. I'm sure if the supply chain was up and running like pre-COVID days it would have been a different experience. I'm from Salt Lake and had to drive out this way to pick up something after work which meant we got to try out a new restaurant! My husband went to yelp and found this gem and I'm glad he did. On the last page of their menu they have a few Mongolian dishes and that in itself is the reason we ate here. My husband was raised in Mongolia and had yet to find a place that had buuz and huushuurs. He was giggly to have me try them and I have to say they were delusions. The owner heard him tell me the taste was authentic and greeted my husband in Mongolian! Half the fun was seeing how happy my husband was to talk in Mongolian and eat Mongolian food. This is my favorite sushi place in Orem, hands down. It's a small, family owned business so it feels very warm and intimate. The service is super friendly and professional. The interior is clean and well decorated, and the best part was the views of the beautiful mountains outside. The sushi is excellent! The sushiman Eric is extremely talented and also very personable. They have a wide variety of traditional and special rolls that will keep you coming back for more. My personal favorites are the Dragon, Shogun and the Citrus roll. Sushi burritos have been pretty trendy for a while now, and they serve it here! It is so yummy! We also tried their gyoza and fried cream cheese wontons and both were delicious. They also serve traditional Mongolian dishes that are authentic and delicious. I tried the huushuur (fried dumpling) and the tsuivan (noodle dish) and both are to die for. If you've ever wanted to try authentic Mongolian food, you are in for a treat because this is truly as authentic as you can get without having to travel all the way to Mongolia! Recently I went to pick up an order as a delivery driver and was treated very rudely by the owner in front of all his customers (the restaurant is small). I won't bother returning. Once you eat Sushi here, you won't be able to go anywhere else. Eric is ridiculously good at what he does. The sushi is delicious- you could literally pick up a menu, point at a random item, order it, and get something fantastic. My personal favorites are the US, Samurai, Philadelphia, and Pink Lady rolls. I also love the wontons, and the Mongolian food is great if you want to try something new. The atmosphere is great, and Eric is so fun to chat with! After a few visits, he even remembers your order, which is crazy considering how many customers he gets. Just revisited this restaurant last Thursday for lunch. Not sure how busy dinner is, but it fills up pretty fast at lunch. I and my lunch companion had the lunch special (Miso soup and two rolls for $10.99) on this visit. We ordered the Spicy tuna, Shrimp and Alaska rolls. We also added the deep fried Godzilla roll. The soup was hot and delicious. While we were enjoying the soup, we watched our sushi master working his kraft.....making our rolls. The Godzilla roll was hugh and could almost make a meal it's self! It was crispy, had good flavor and had a touch of sweetness. Very good and a definite re-order candidate! The Spicy tuna roll was excellent.....and Spicy! But......not too spicy. A person who doesn't tolerate to much heat would find it very tolerable. Loved the Shrimp and Alaskan rolls. Good flavor and a little dip in a Wasabi soy bath added another depth to the flavor. The restaurant itself was very clean, organized and a pleasant experience. The wait staff was friendly, polite and attentive (even when the place was filling up.) The menu is expansive and the prices are still reasonable. I think I need to not wait so long between visits. It was an enjoyable experience. Like seeing an old friend you haven't seen in a while. My newest favorite in Utah Valley. With sushi my top priority is how fresh the fish tastes, you can tell by taste and texture. I haven't been disappointed yet in this regard. I was recently grossed out by the sashimi I had at Itto Sushi, this fish is much fresher tasting than theirs. Every roll I've had has had really nicely balanced flavor. My husband thinks rice could be a little better and pressed a little more so that rolls don't fall apart. I loved their vegetable tempura as well, nice light batter and a huge portion. I liked the black something roll.., it's first on the page with specialty rolls I think and has eel. The atmosphere is nice and clean and intimate.
