I ordered the Two Eggs and 1 Choice which is as simple as it gets for breakfast - I got 2 sunny side up eggs, sausage, home fries and fruit with rye bread. This is a classic breakfast and quite tasty as it is. I love that the potatoes were like home fries (crispy and soft). It really hit the spot. My sister ordered the Lac Saint-Jean which has 2 eggs, 1 choice of meat (she got bacon), baked beans, cretons (traditional French-Canadian pork spread) and a blueberry pancake. This was super delicious too. If you have not had creton before, it is a must-try. It tastes good on it's on or have it on toast. Everything was made well and the blueberry pancake is huge! We had to pack it to go. Great breakfast/brunch spot if you are in the area, and it's got everything you want in one place. Love the bright colours of the restaurant and plentiful seating. The mimosas are worth it, lots of bubbles (some places really skimp, not Chesterfield's). They have many gluten-free options, which always makes me feel like I can eat like everyone else. I ordered the Bird's Nest Benny. The eggs were the most perfectly poached I've ever had at a restaurant. A side came with the benny, and I got the baked beans. The food was absolutely delicious. Potatoes, eggs, bacon, and maple-lime hollandaise that was to die for. There was so much food. Impossible to walk away hungry. Service was perfect as well. I was able to track the waitlist on my phone easily and started heading back when we were 4th in line. And two Vegan Bennies ($16) - a super grainy slice of bread topped with the same tofu, green onions, Bacun and some red pepper strips (NOT Coulis as described in the menu). If some person was having a tofu dish for the first time I think they would describe tofu as no flavour at all. We vegans know that you can do amazing things with Tofu. The home fries in the above dishes was the best - now that we could give 5 out 5. All of us had to go and get Sriracha and Ketchup from the counter to rescue the dishes. Coffee was too weak as well. When you go in and order on the counter and you get food delivered to your table. Should the restaurant still offer to tip on the machine BEFORE even we were served? First of all, the restaurant has delicious meals and a super fast wait staff. Prices are reasonable too. Keep in mind its an old style. The takeout side of the restaurant is filled with healthy homemade quickgrab meals like brocolli or bean salads, sandwiches, and fruit. They have the best egg bread sandwiches! The baked goods are fabulous. You must try their brownies! And of course a rotating lunch menu that is also delicious. The convenience store has lots of extras. Checkout the selection in the drink cooler including local kombucha and hard to find pop flavours. It also has a wall of homemade products like soaps and lip balms. This place is crazy busy during the day, but the staff are both friendly and super fast, so you're always out quickly even for a sit down lunch. Highly recommend.

The fried chicken dish was a bit disappointing in 2 ways. 1) It was corn season and they still decide to use relatively flavourless frozen corn kernals. I would suggest using fresh ingredients when it is in season. 2) For the price, I was expecting 2 pieces of fried chicken, instead it was a single piece of medium size chicken breast attached to a drumette. To give them credit, the breast wasn't dry and the root beer maple syrup went very well with the homefries. The latte was alright it did have a slightly bitter aftertaste though.
