This team is fantastic. I have a newish hybrid and used to go to dealer....they were always trying to sell me this and that. But the team at Oil Changer always check the same things and tell me I'm fine. They told me next time I will need transmission fluid changed as well as oil and I believe them. This is my third visit with them so I feel can trust their recommendations. We waited quite a while before anyone even came to talk to us at this location. Once they got started it was relatively quick, but the staff all seemed pretty miserable. Maybe the cost of an oil change has skyrocketed everywhere, but even with the Yelp check-in coupon, our bill was over $100 with a replacement air filter. It was time for my oil change and this is my go to spot. They are always so helpful and tell me everything that is going on with the car. It was a quick stop like most of the time which I love. I was out of there probably in like 15 min because there was no other cars in front of me. Even when there is it usually only takes me about 30 min. Prices are very reasonable. These guys are complete sweethearts in my experience. I brought my Mazda CX3 in and before they did the oil change they wanted to warn me it would be on the expensive side (bec. of the type of oil needed). When I balked a little they offered to just top it off and i could check around for other rates...so they did, and when I got my wallet out the guy said "no no that's just something we do as part of our service, no charge". After I check around to compare prices, if this place is anywhere near competitive I'll come back to get my oil changed. Even if it's a little higher. Their kindness was that good. read more

I am really not one that likes to write negative reviews unless it is egregious. I took my work truck to get an oil change and was met by a lifeless unemotional young man that gave the impression this job was a waste of his time. The quote I overheard for the vehicle next to me was the same male and model and I was quoted $16 more than he was in looking at the bill I was quoted with taxes and fees included. That was my first thought so I didn't say anything at the time. All the same it created a bit of confusion. When coupled with an unwelcoming environment it could ruffle some feathers. At completion I was then asked for my credit card but was not allowed to see the charges and the services performed unless I got out of the truck and looked at a monitor; somewhere in my memory banks I believe I have been given a copy beforehand but I could be wrong. In making that request I overheard two technicians commenting about how all the customers are rude and he should just come to expect it. Now that I'm home and looking at the service receipt; after already having paid for it that is, I see that there are things that state were done but clearly they weren't. I can not take a clear photo of the windshield but I assure you it was not cleaned, my windshield wipers are held together with zip ties I would have likely replaced them if asked and if the staff were a bit friendlier also the washer fluid was not filled as the statement claims. Those three things lead me to believe that none of the other items were completed either. The only reason for the two stars is that the owner is a fellow service veteran otherwise probably. read more

Took my 2006 Honda Accord V6 in last Friday, September 16th. The auto transmission wasn't shifting right, high RPMS, burning smell. Had them replace fluid, hoping that would be the lowball fix. Zack, Horatio, Ricardo and boss man Phil are the best. 5 stars all around. Highly recommended! On the downside, need the transmission rebuilt which has only 128,000 miles on it. read more

First-timer this morning at Sonoma's Oil Changers. Couldn't be more satisfied. "Jon" did the work on my car and was a model of customer service. He was all business, explained all the steps and checks he would do, and explained all items that needed to be addressed before doing any work. He answered all my questions and even when my car did not need a service he explained why from what he found in his review of my car. I was there on a Tuesday morning at 7:50 am for their 8:00 am opening and was the first up. Didn't have to leave my car at any time. Jon said Tuesday and Sunday mornings are the slowest so the best time to come. I had my engine and transmission oil changed and was out of their in 25 minutes, but if I hadn't asked so many questions I likely would have been done in 15-20 mins. I have a 2010 Lexus RX450h with about 75k miles on it and had I taken it to Lexus, this work would have cost 50% more. Total was about $200.00 and included new oil filter, engine and transmission oil, reset oil maintenance indicator, review of tire pressure, differential fluid, all outside lights, wiper fluid, and more, and of course Jon's friendly and service-oriented labor. Had fluid changed in the transmission and front/ rear differentials. The whole procedure took 30 minutes and was fairly inexpensive compared to the dealership. I believe they also checked the rest of my fluid levels and tire pressure. read more

You don't get out of your car, it took about 25 minutes and the costs was significantly less then the dealership. AND, Ricardo and Phil were great. I give them 5 stars and will use them again. Oil changers is a bit expensive, but you pay for the convenience. They're going to ask if you need the oil flush upgrade, if I haven't run my car in a while or had a change, I get it anyway. Overall they get you in and out as quickly as possible. I've gone to Jiffy Lube for years and other places, and generally don't like waiting around in a room with strangers for a half an hour or so. I'd much rather sit in my car while they do their work. Overall a successful experience every time I'm there, no complaints. read more

Been bringing my vehicles for years. Service is fine, except for the hard sell on engine oil flushes (and coolant flushes). I can deal with this, I know oil flushes aren't needed (and can actually cause real problems) and simply decline them. However, I had my son to take his car there for the first time. I told him "just an oil change, don't let them sell you anything else". Well, he just came back, and there was an oil flush on the receipt. He said the tech there said "your oils really dirty, do you want the premium flush or the basic one" like the flush was mandatory. My kid fell for it and got the cheap one. Totally misleading practice. Sleazy, really. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Came here mid spring of 2021, no problem with the oil change however.. whoever went under my car to drain the oil stripped the screws underneath and the splash shield fell off in the middle of highway 5. Costed me a sweet $200 to fix with a mechanic. Came back to address it and I got attitude from Yubani. These guys are professional and trustworthy. I've been a couple times now and they do a through job of checking and recommending basic car maintenance services. They give you a fare price and don't pressure you with up selling unnecessary services. It can get busy and it's a drive up service (no appointments) so I'd recommend going on off hours if possible. Many of the things they mentioned in the bill as checked or completed were not. I did not see them check my wiper blades, wash my Windshield, fill tire pressure even when I requested few times. Just moved to Sonoma and my experience here was great. You sit in your own car while they change your oil and they show you the dipstick at the end! Nice to know they're honest unlike some other places. They also checked the air in my tires too! Definitely my go-to for oil changes now. read more
