Alignment Shocks Control Arms 2015 Mazda MX-5 Mike's has excellent service with fair value for the repairs I've needed over the last few months. They've answered all my questions very straightforward with no hassle. They are a great neighborhood shop and I'd highly recommend. read more

The last time I took my car here, the younger man working here was extremely rude when I dropped off my car, they checked my car and then called me and said that I needed new tires... but they had just replaced my tires a month or two prior!! I told him and he said he would call me back. He then calls and says he was looking at the wrong car and laughs about it. Like several other reviews, they are just charging on whatever they want...especially women!!! DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE read more

Did a great job fixing my 2004 Chevy wiper problem. They've always done a good job for me!

Mike is awesome! Thank you for all your help and insights not only regarding my tire and wheel issues but the community itself. Thanks Mike!! read more

I took my car in for a flat tire and came back to a $800 bill! They fixed something without my authorization! Bait and switch!

Mikes has always been reliable and one I would never have a hard time recommending! First and foremost, the owner is awesome! He is very down to earth and will not try to up sell you in the least! I have brought my car in a few times with minor issues and I was either not charged at all or only charged a minimal amount. For larger jobs, he has always been competitive on pricing versus other small and large shops in the area. Another plus is the fact that his crew is quick, yet careful with you car. Would happily point anyone in Mike's Alignment & Brake way if their car needs some work done especially brakes. read more

I cannot recommend Mike and his crew enough for your vehicle repair needs. I've gotten tires, alignments, and wheel balances from him before, but his exceptional service today really blew me away. I do nearly all my own work on my car, but get professional services that require expensive equipment (tire mounting, alignments, etc.) done by the pros. I recently purchased a new used car, and it had bad steering wheel vibrations at freeway speeds. I brought it into Mike, and he performed a wheel balance and alignment for a very reasonable price, but informed me that the tires were out of round, and told me a few of the suspension components were worn. I was about to leave on a 2 week road trip, and didn't want to spend money on an alignment if I would just have to get another alignment when I returned and replaced the suspension components. He said, "No problem, I'll perform the alignment today and when you come back after you've replaced the components, I'll perform another alignment free of charge." Wow. When I came back, he performed the alignment after I had replaced all 4 struts and the front lower control arms. In his previous inspection, he had said I needed inner tie rods, but when I was working on them, I couldn't detect any play and decided not to replace them. When I got the second alignment, he showed me the method for detecting minute inner tie rod play, and indeed they were worn. I ordered them, replaced them, and brought my car in for a third alignment that I was fully expecting and gladly would have paid for, but Mike again performed a full 4 wheel alignment free of charge! Mike does great work at reasonable prices, is friendly, gets the work done on time, and I have 100% confidence that he only recommends work to his customers that needs to be done. He has the customer's best interest in mind, and for this, I give him two thumbs up. Thanks, Mike! read more

If you take your vehicle to Mikes alignment and brake in boys hot springs be prepared for bogus charges and recommendations that are not even close to being ready for service. Clearly a nice polite ripoff and fraud business read more

I wish they had 6 stars. Best in town. Great prices and quick. I had so many thing's wrong with my truck. They had it done in 2 days. 2 Days!! I can't say enough about the staff. Very very nice and they break everything down by price before they start then they get it done. I won't bring my vehicles anywhere else. Great job guys. read more

Mike saved my car!!! We made an awful mistake and ended up putting the wrong fluid in the wrong spot and it could have caused major damage to my car. I called several places at 1 pm on a Saturday and nobody answered. Mike called me back and had me immediately bring my car in to flush out the fluid. He asked me to come back after work on Monday so he could flush it again. The price was a fraction of what I could have had to pay for if the flushing had not been successful. Mike and his team gave me outstanding service at such a cheap price. I am so grateful to them for saving my car and I highly recommend taking your car here! read more

Awesome spot with tons of classic cars and old school charm inside. Mike is exceptional! Was able to get my car in last minute and he helped me with a brake service before a long day trip. Prices are fantastic and the service is even better. It's refreshing to find a mechanic shop that's thorough and honest. All the staff and mechanics are incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and friendly as well. read more

BIG Warning! Deceptive service. Price quoted on the phone was triple when I picked up the car.$2,999. The 2 issues I brought in the car for were never fixed. All emergency lights lit up driving 1/2 mile away from his shop-they said to bring it back right away. After another inspection they said it was fixed but the next day coming back from Napa all the emergency lights were on again. The original noise I had requested checking were still in the car.The 2 products (alternator, engine mounts) they replaced I had no warning signs or trouble with at all, but stupidly trusted him because our family had used him for years. I took my car to another mechanic he fixed the noise I was concerned about and checked all the electric system. 3 hrs. clean and honest repair. While talking to my family when I got home I was told wish you had asked us. My son and son-in law both were charged for services NOT performed. They each had to bring the car back to have the work done that they had been charged for. I am on a fixed income -- The $2999.charge for unnecessary and incomplete service really hurts. My car was worse off after bringing it to Mikes. NEVER AGAIN. He provides a million excuses that don't make any sense. read more

Mike's Alignment & Brake has consistently earned my trust and business. Over the years he has worked on most of my vehicles, but a recent experience stands out. Mike's capable crew had replaced a window regulator in my old BMW almost 6 months ago and after a period of time it failed so I brought it back in. Mike graciously without charge offered me warranty service and installed a new window regulator. While he was working on my car he noticed another issue that he called me on, explained the issue, and obtained my authorization to fix. The consummate holistic mechanic who earns your trust and deserves your business. read more

Mike's used to be my go to mechanic in Sonoma. Not any more. I recently went in to check an oil leak and was diagnosed with a stripped oil pan cap. Fair enough but when I picked up my car they had added gasket charges that I wasn't contacted about, and well it was too late to do anything but pay for them. Also, they have a new policy of charging for paying by debit card. I wasn't informed of this change either so I didn't have cash on me to pay for services. I ended up having to pay for using my debit card. I received a quote for replacing my battery. It was double what it ended up costing me at O'Rielly's here in town. Also they quoted new tires for my car at $140.00 more than 2 other places in town. When I picked up my car Mike was no where in sight. I've been speaking with and dealing with a new young man at the shop. Not impressed. If you need work on your car, I recommend shopping around. If you do go to Mike's beware of hidden/surprise charges. read more

Thanks! I discovered a screw in my wife's car tire just before she needed to be on her way out of town. I arrived without an appointment just as they opened on Saturday morning. I was back on the road by 8:30. Well Done - quality service! read more

Great service! just want to thank the guys at mikes, for the quick turnaround. Called in the morning and ray fit me in schedule and had me out before the hour. Told him to save my parts and he did. Very honest prices with great quality. Will definitely return. read more

I just had new tires done at Mike's today based on a referral from a good friend. At first, I was hesitant to make the appointment because of a bad review trashing Mike. Well, my experience was just the opposite. Mike understands good customer service and knows how to build loyalty and keep you as his customer for life. He made it clear to me that he would service my new tires for a year for free. He went out of his way to go the extra mile. The minute you walk into Mike's shop, you know he is a car guy. Great auto decor everywhere! As a Sonoma photographer, I notice the visual impact of others' businesses. read more

Had a low tire light. Took my car in, and a few hours later picked it up. Huge nailbut they patched it. Lovely customer service. Very reasonable prices too read more

I just gave Armandos shop a 4 review and I won't take it back. Here's my story! I am always looking for a better deal. ALWAYS. So while Armando was working on shaping out tires that I had pre-purchase I tried to deal with him and trade him my 3 decent tires in exchange for the work. We started at 110$ just for the swap and ended at 80$ with me trading the older tires in. I settled because I thought I had a good deal. He gave me a hour eta finish time so I walked down the street and started asking other tires shops how much for the work I wad getting done. He was still giving me a good deal for about 40$ less but I was giving him tires. I walked into Mikes told them my situation and they offered to trade tires for work! I called Armando told him to stop what he was doing and ingot the royal treatment. This shows me flexibility, customer service and over the top negotiation. read more

My vehicle was not centered, I was in need of an alignment, I called mike's alignment and I was able to go in right after the call. I had Bruce Hernandez do my alignment, I was out the door in 30 minutes! My car feels superb, it honestly feels how it was from factory. I would recommend them for any of your vehicles needs as they were very caring and polite. Thanks again Bruce! read more

It was 4pm and we discovered we had a nail in our tire because our tire pressure warning light came on. We had a 2 hr drive ahead of us from home. Mike had us bring our car right in after we told this to him (even though he had a full load of cars needing repair) 30 minutes later we were on the road home! Kuddos to he and his staff. I highly recommend this business. read more

We went to Mike's because the guys down the street recommended him - that in itself should tell you. The shop is organized and looks good - I'm a big believer that the look of the business reflects how the work is done. Mike and his crew provided a quick estimate on my wife's Honda. We left the car and the issue was fixed within hours. After driving the car home we found that it still had a "weird" sound. When we took it back, Mike brought out a stethoscope and like a good doctor he moved through the engine compartment patiently listening to each part, switching fans, AC and other variables off and on to identify the origin - once identified he fixed it, no extra charge. Separately the radiator on my Toyota had a hairline crack as the front had been pushed in. They straighten out front panel to ensure that the new radiator would fit, flattened out the hood, and offered to source a new hood from a junkyard for the old girl. All repairs were done at or below budget and very quickly. When you go you've got to check out his collection of toy cars and motorcycles - it's amazing! read more

Mike is the man. He knows what he's doing and so do his employees. I've bought tires from them and alignments and I wouldn't go anywhere else in Sonoma because these guys set me up straight in a timely fashion every time. If you need it done right the first time go here. read more

Great for a patching a tire. Would not trust fro anything else after last experience there.

I want to share the horrible experience that we had at Mike's alignment, in October we went into his shop referred by a friend of his, she stated that he was a very good mechanic and wasn't nonsense mechanic, however when found out that the problem wasn't the flywheel but the engine he offered a used engine out of a van that he had in his yard, we agreed on $1,200, and ended pain over $2,000 and waited for 3 months for him to finish up 2 week project, unfortunately there was nothing written about the original $1,200 agreement because I truly thought that he was a man of his word, that's hard to find nowadays. Not only this but the windshield wipers didn't work he installed a new motor for the windshield wipers and he charged us for that............ what's crazy about this is that they still don't work and he wants us to make an appointment to leave the truck there and once again and Hope that it is look what they've given us and not over, needless to say I never came back I rather fix it myself or pay someone to do it. this Mike character, he has absolutely no word, the worst experience I've had by far. He comes off as a very professional person however he has absolutely no professionality whatsoever for his business, he's a fake and I lost all respect for the man I don't believe and have anything written up because I still believe in a handshake and your word, if you have no word you have no place and if you have no place you have no business having no a business. I don't recommend this to anybody. read more

Came to my rescue on the eve of a holiday weekend. Mike stayed beyond closing time to accommodate my towed car due to a flat tire. Love that he answers the phone himself and personally drove me to and from while we waited for the proper tire to fit my Toyota. Trustworthy, professional, reliable, accommodating, reasonable prices. He was referred by my fabulous car servicing company down the street, Mike Larbre, who I also highly recommend. 5 stars for Mike's Alignment & Brake. They really went above and beyond! read more

i have been patronizing his shop for at least 15 years. I have a '56 Chevy and a '70 Caprice wagon. He and his staff are able to find sometimes difficult to locate parts and to repair the cars properly the first time. His shop does repairs to factory spec. for a reasonable price. In all the years I've gone in for work I've never felt taken advantage of. I have always felt that Mike goes out of his way to answer my questions and keep me informed as to the progress of the work. I live in Michigan. My family was traveling through Sonoma when they starting hearing a funny sound from the brakes. I found Mike's on the internet, sent them there, and hoped for the best. As you can imagine, I was in a vulnerable position. My whole family is traveling on the other side of the country and I'm forced to trust a private shop not to take advantage of them. He got them in right away and it turned out to be a minor problem--labor, no parts needed. All that, and Mike was very easy to talk to during the whole episode. Feeling *a lot* better than I did a few hours ago. read more
