although I believe that this truly is a good family friendly place I think they could work on their customer service. I was there for a birthday party and one of the ladies who we later found out was the owner was slut shaming and body shaming our girls for wearing belly shirts saying things like "I don't know why your confident wearing something like that on your body type" and "you're only wearing that because that's the only way you will get a guys attention" and where I do agree with the dress code, I don't agree with how she approached this to TEENAGERS. get better. read more

3.5 stars. Deciding to give it 4 to contribute in bringing the stars up a tiny bit. Been there more than a few times now with my daughter. First time was out of curiosity. Second was for her friend's birthday party. Now it's an alternation between bowling for family outing. Yes, the entrance is *very* easy to miss. Yes, the entire institution is outdated, and in desperate need of renovation. Yes, the staff could use a bit more personality. Yes, the concession could use a few more food choices. But it's a rollerskating rink. You go there because you need your young'ns to burn off energy so you can put them to bed early. It's something for them to do indoors when it rains. Or you live in a small condo and you need another birthday party option around town. If you're a teenager, it's another spot you and your teenage friends can hang out without your parents. Sure, your nostalgia will make you skate a night or two every once in a while, but it's mainly for kids. It's like what I tell everyone most of the time. When your expectations are low, you're usually more prone to come out happier. It's not like we live in an area that screams young professionals looking to blow steam off at a nostalgic cosmic-bowling-esque happy hour hipster rollerskating spot, in which case I'd fully expect them to be completely renovated and updated to meet the modern standards. Even then, I'm not sure young Gen Z'ers and beyond quite fit the age group to consider rollerskating nostalgic. I may not be a 100% fan of the place. But I still find myself coming back with my daughter. read more

This place is a blast. It's a throwback to innocent fun we had in the 70s. Only the music and pinball machines have changed. The pizza, by the way, is actually not bad. In terms of the dress code, I'm willing to take my hat off (and I wear a hat most of my waking, non-working hours). No pictures allowed? How the hell did the human race survive before we had camera phones? Again, personally, I can do with out taking pictures for a while. But, if you do snap one of your kids or the rink (which I did, and which I posted), with your phone cam, what are they going to do, confiscate your phone and call the secret service? As a kid I thought this place was a blast! That was until I had to deal with the staff myself. It's clear they are short staffed, which is understandable. But the small amount of people working there have all been less than kind. I don't have any crazy stories, but you can just tell they don't want to be there. The rental skates are also horrible. Most of them are unusable, and yet are still given to people. I finally got my own skates, but that shouldn't have to be the price to pay for one trip to the rink when buying your own skates cost well over $100 for most brands. The place does offer a lot of fun though. The music plays loud and the lights have a cool effect that gets me in the mood to skate for hours. I'm taking my friend here soon, and hope for good service then. read more

Well for starters it smells like you don't even wanna know The first couple times when you go there you think it's nice but it's not we went there we skated and then my sister got ran over by this skater and he called her a bitch they were wearing rollerblades the people there were cussing they their service is OK and they were these guys that were shaking their butts and their fans were like Oooo yay and they play very inappropriate songs and they're shouting out the cuss words in the songs and the song was supposed to go thank you next but they were like bleep bleep bleep One of the people in their group talked to us and said the SH word while they were trying to tell us to watch where we're going The people who skate there are very careless one of the girls was right behind us and I was trying to get out of the way with my friend and then she knocks us over people shake their butt there they don't even care about there surroundings they also have these games there that are $.25 and there's one game you have to roll a ball and get it in a circle and you have to get a big amount of points just to get more than five tickets to buy something I scored like 16,000 points and only get five tickets and the stuff that you can trade in for tickets are expensive I want an airhead and it was 25 or 50 something tickets this is unacceptable I don't know why they're still in business first they should like tell the kid that was shaking his butt to stop but he didn't listen if you saw the way my little sister was crying when they ran her over with the rollerblades she was like crying and screaming at the same time I felt so bad for her i am happy that that guy who ran my little sister over he fell on the ground everyone was trying to pick up my little sister no one was picking up the guy that ran my little sister over this is unacceptable by one out of 10 do not think you should go to a Ohio Skate and especially with kids read more

Horrible customer service! The skates I rented for $7 dollars the insole was detached from the flooring of the skate, the other skate the whole shoe of the skate was just hanging...literally. They held me to the no refund policy but cant deliver safe skates. The skates they gave me should of been in the garbage. They took $7 dollars from me and told me that they would give me a free admission on my next trip...what next trip ill never go their again. I asked to speak to a manager the manager and i was told shes somewhere in the Florida keys enjoying life taking peoples hard earned money laying in the sun. This establishment is trash!!! This was a amazing place overall but the only issue with this place is the manager, she is extremely rude and yells at children for no reason they have extremely experienced and friendly young skaters and the manger Ashley just kept yelling at them for no reason if anything I would hire the experienced skaters as workers cause the did half of the work as making sure everyone that fell was ok all the actual workers did was pick the songs and talked with the skaters. read more

This place is lit...literally. But figuratively...NO! A lot of parents in the sitting on the side smoking. You'd think it was a scene from Cheech and Chong! This place is extremely run down and needs major renovations, the skates are old and falling apart, the machines stop working all the time, the ceiling is falling apart, the carpeting is disgusting, and the bathrooms are untidy and are usually out of toilet paper. The staff is incredibly rude, and scold you for taking off your skates to rest from how tight and uncomfortable they are. They have no clue what they're doing, and are rude whenever you ask them for something. They walk around in nice shoes and complain when you stop skating. Imagine being in the lock in, from 7 pm to 6 am, and wanting to rest, but they yell at you for sitting down and taking your skates off. This place is horrible, please do not bring your children here, they'd have more fun at a convenience store or gas station for Pete's sake. read more

Too many rules. Not allowed to skate backwards except for specific times designated to do so, not allowed to hold on to your partner, not allowed to skate "too fast," etc... I've been on roller skates for 20 years. Not sure why I have to cater to the requirements of less experienced skaters. Floor is big, but not finished well. Whatever coating is on it doesn't provide much grip. Very slippery. It could be a very nice rink, but with so many restrictions and a poorly finished floor, it really kind of takes the fun out of it. Also, the food was pricey and pretty awful. read more

Fun place, prices are really reasonable and the staff are very helpful. Saturday morning skating lessons for children are wonderful. I appreciate that the staff measured my child's feet so we could be sure to order the correct size skates. Birthday parties here are a great bargain. As for the people complaining about the rules....."no pictures" applies to the skating floor, and it's a privacy issue for other customers who don't want someone posting a picture that includes them on the internet. Yes, the staff had to correct me the first time I went to the rink and took a picture of my child skating, but it makes sense as I think about it. As for no hats, that's because "loose articles" can come off on the skating floor and another customer could trip, and we have a lawsuit-happy society. read more
