The lobby is pretty big and open with old arcade games. Open Skate slots are listed on their website for every month. The price is $10/ person (skates included). They have skating helpers for those who are still working on gaining their balance on the ice, which is perfect for kiddos

Only 2 of us needed to use the rental skates included with the open skate. The skates handed to me were extremely dull, I tried them on the ice, then went to switch them out. 3 groups of people were waiting and no one was servicing us. One man yelled back toward to office to see if he could leave some skates. Finally the same check in guy from before answered. I then asked if there was someone to switch my skates. He grumpily came over, I told him the pair I was turning in were very dull, and he put up another pair. I felt those and told him. His response, "it's what you get with rental skates." Rude.

The Plymouth Cultural Center And Ice Arena is a very nice venue. Plenty of parking out front. It…read morecould use a little patching over the coming season. It is safe and flat to approach building even for those with canes or in wheelchairs. Baby Carriages also will have no problem. The rooms are reasonably priced and in great condition. They certainly provide a great service to the community. The outer coverings will need to be updated in at least the next two seasons. They are worse for wear but still not unattractive. The best thing, I feel, about this building is it shape and design. Inside it takes on much the aspect of a small sports arena, and that's fine because there is an ice rink here. Outside the building has a modern look and sweeping lines. Unexpected in this small, quiet, residential neighborhood. The seating outside the building features comfortable benches. This is good and convenient but the smoking pylons are pushed up against them so anyone seated would need to deal with the smell or the possibility of a smoker making an appearance. There are two small areas that appear to be gardens but are more like gathering places and entryways. They are picturesque. At least one of the rooms has a wall completely set out in mirrors which is very attractive. There is a lot of light in that room and combined with the straight curtains it provides a classical 1960's look that is clean and bright while still being modern.

There is a zero-depth pool for young kids and another area about 4 feet deep for older kids to swim in, with or without parents. When the weather turns cold, the ice rink is well-maintained and fun for all. I appreciated that they Zamboni the rink halfway through an open skate so that it stays smooth. This is a popular figure skating venue. A few of the best instructors teach here and it's a solid community. There are different levels Of instruction, for instance the beginners focus on the initial basics. The more advanced skaters focus on proper form, technique and goal preparation. The Peak also has very good in-house hockey leagues for all ages as well as the occasional tournament. I didn't get there but they have pick-up, drop-in hockey and my son has attended hockey camps here. I've read that they make their rink and other facilities available for birthday parties, holiday parties or corporate events at reasonable prices. I do know they had a killer snack bar. That's a must in my book!!! 2/20

Had the pleasure of visiting the USA Hockey Arena for the first time to attend the final match of…read morethe 2019 World Junior Summer Showcase hockey tournament between the United States and Canada. My first impression was very positive because parking was super easy in the adjoining on-site lot that is plenty large enough for the size of the 3,504 seat hockey facility. It is an intimate venue as far as hockey arenas go, and it is absolutely perfect for what it is. There is a great pro shop with all kinds of authentic USA Hockey gear at all ranges of prices, I'd also say that they provide ample restroom facilities, and a decent sized vending station (though, if I had to throw any shade on an otherwise top-notch spectator-friendly facility, I would have to admit that the standard arena fare served up is decent, but certainly uninspired--yet, I had no expectation of enjoying a top-notch burger once inside an amateur team arena, so all's good here). The sight lines throughout the arena are generally unobstructed (with the exception, perhaps, of the end glass behind the goaltenders where there seemed to be more than the usual number of puck marks that blurred some of the ability to get a clean photo of the on-ice action). But the atmosphere is great and it should be--basically a facility dedicated to cheering on our men and women suiting up in the red, white and blue. Go USA!

At any rate still a blast and optimal for cuddling and bringing your own collection of snacks.
