Ice, Ice Baby! A good ole time skating here. More than one rink. Bring your own skates or rent from there.

My seven-year-old daughter just finished taking swimming lessons here for the summer. Our first…read moreexperience with it was absolutely terrible - the class setup and the instructor. After that horrible experience, I decided to change her lessons to one-on-one private lessons with a different instructor. It was mainly a sweet girl named Julia who worked with my daughter. My daughter became so excited about swimming! Julia was very patient with my daughter and after the lesson, she'd come right up to me and explain to me everything they went over, and what we needed to work on at home. So even though our first experience here was god-awful, our visits after were so that I'm still giving it 5 stars. Also it is a very nice pool to hang out around with ample swimming pools/areas. Really large shallow wading pool for young children.

Yeah, have to knock my review a bit in response to the crummy pool maintenance the last couple of…read moreyears. The park is still great and the skate park is rad, but the pool? Man, it's rarely open. This season it hasn't even been open at all because of a mechanical issue and last summer it had several closures and hiccups throughout the season. And when it was open, a good part of the pool (the deep end) was closed off because they were short staffed. That means that all the other spaces got extra crowded, which wasn't the best scenario for a relaxing swim. Such a bummer! It's walking distance from my house so I REALLY REALLY want to love it, and mostly I REALLY REALLY want to visit it but we just can't because it's still been closed. We still walk our dog through the park, and I love the baseball games and checking out all the rad skaters in the skate park, but the pool is just a real bummer.

Used to be a nice rink...now it's owned by Black Bear Sports Group and has gone downhill fast…read more Locker room bathrooms didn't work, drinking fountains were shut off (and from information from others, they've been inoperable for at least a month), and the few water coolers provided were constantly empty. The facility was filthy all weekend. Food and trash everywhere with no cleaning being done....I realize this is also part just laziness on the part of patrons but keeping your facility clean should be a priority. There is a bar upstairs but we did not visit that. 16 Biggby logos greet you before you even hit the lobby but don't expect to get a cup of coffee...No concession stand available at all (there is one there but it is closed, and from what I hear, has been closed since the Black Bear takeover). Ice conditions were poor, the glass around the South rink was so fogged parents couldn't see the games, and the scoreboard in the North rink didn't work on Saturday so coaches had no idea on time, penalties, etc. and had to keep asking scorekeepers for info. When rink conditions were brought to the attention of the rink staff, there was not much more than a shoulder shrug given. The Zamboni driver even backed onto the ice before handshake lines were finished which is a serious safety issue. For a rink hosting expensive youth tournaments, this is unacceptable. People pay good money to attend these tournaments. The facility needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.

Wanted to take my kids for open skate but they have no website listed. Finally found it after…read morecalling - apparently the new name is "Bigby Coffee Ice Cube", which I have separate thoughts about. Got on the website to look at the rink schedules and.. there was absolutely nothing. Just a broken link to register for open skate which is the wildest thing I've ever heard of. How is it 'open' if I have to register for it? I've heard nothing but awful things about this place, be it the rinks, the restaurant, or the barn itself, since it got bought out, and after the hassle I had of just trying to find a skate schedule it's safe to say I won't bother coming here. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Optimist in Jackson.
