Literally, the only place on Maui to get a Slurpee! OH, and some of the best pupus in town too!…read more Positively sure that the 7-11s in Hawaii were the first ones to start selling SPAM Musubi in their hot foods section! It's one of the best stops in town now to not only pick you up some musubis, but also some local manapua and pork hash too! One stop shop for beach bites! Grab some and stuff your cooler or lunch bag before a day in the water! Not only the local fare - but also your 7-11 standards like pizza, Big Bites, wings, and taquitos too! Who doesn't like something from the Roller Grill LOL! And don't forget to stay hydrated with a Super Big Gulp!

Honestly, gotta right up a review on the go to to-go spots on Maui, especially when theres only one…read moreon the island! The food variety is the real draw here. Bento boxes, musubi in every flavor you can think of (spam, ham, hot dog, chicken, my fave jumbo mochiko chicken), sushi, pork hash, manapua, plus your standard hot dog and burger setup for when you're not feeling adventurous. Pork hash is my go to, no question. Lup cheong manapua is a close second. I'll admit the char siu manapua has fallen off though. Used to be solid, now the filling comes out mushy and kind of flavorless. Feels like a recipe change somewhere down the line, and not for the better. Hoping they bring the old version back. Beyond the hot food, they've got a good lineup of local snacks too. Li hing mui gummies, li hing powder, mochi crunch, the works. Throw in f'real shakes, magazines, and a few toys for keiki, and it's honestly a solid last stop before the airport if you need snacks and something to keep the kids occupied on the flight home. Only thing holding this spot back is the crowd after dark or occasional homeless (never bothered me, but might for some) One more thing worth mentioning: they do catering too, with a few platter options at prices that make sense. Good to keep in your back pocket for last minute gatherings.

Damn, these things are so good! If you like beef jerky, you're going to love Maui Crisps. Like…read moreother food wonders of the world, they were created by accident, then fine-tuned for mass consumption. Not too shabby for a local Maui biz! They currently make two types of crisps: beef and fruit. The beef line includes flavors of Original, Teriyaki, Spicy Teriyaki, Chili, Cracked Pepper, and Furikake. They come in two sizes of 1.6 and 2.5 ounces. The fruit line consists of Pineapple, Li Hing Pineapple, and Banana in 0.9 ounce pouches. Prices range from $7.99 - $12.99. BEEF CRISPS My favorites are Original and Teriyaki. Original is like traditional jerky with savory flavors. Teriyaki adds a bit of sweetness to the mix. Cracked Pepper is seasoned with bigger bits of peppercorns. Furikake, my most recent try, adds bits of nori (though they're undetectable due to being overpowered by the jerky's flavor) and sesame seeds which added a bit of toasted flavor and additional crunch. The beef crisps are cut paper-thin like potato chips and are easy to chew as they're not dense like traditional jerky. Nor are they oily which is even better. I have yet to try the Fruit Crisps... FOR SALE: The "factory" is an actual Shell gas station in Kahului, located on Kaahumanu Avenue across the street from the Maui Beach Hotel. The family that runs the gas station are the creators of this delectable snack, so you can purchase every item the sell right here. They also distribute to select stores in Wailuku, Lahaina and Upcountry Maui including Haiku. Or, buy online. OVERALL: The ultimate snack that goes great with adult beverages or by themselves. Highly recommended!

This place is so far my favorite beef jerky company. Their jerky is not your typical chewy,…read moresometimes hard, it's crispy!!! I've tried different company that have need jerky chips but none as much flavor as this company. They have 6 different flavors; original, furikake, cracked pepper, spicy teriyaki, teriyaki, and Hawaiian chili. My favorite are the original and teriyaki. I've tried the cracked pepper and it burns your mouth pretty quickly. The Hawaiian chili is similar to the cracked pepper but it has a hint of sweetness to it. I can eat a whole bag in one sitting because it's that addictive!!! I came across this place at the Made in Hawaii festival. I haven't seen it distributed in any stores on O'ahu BUT you could purchase it online at $13/bag. If you're on Maui, they do not have a store of their own but it is distributed to the Shell gas station on Ka'ahumanu Avenue near Ka'ahumanu shopping center. They sell it at $11/bag.
