Just stayed here. Had an enjoyable stay. So professional. Rooms were super nice. Comfortable beds and a large room. They had even bigger rooms which I could have lived in. Fireplace, jacuzzi , large sitting area. Highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon . The pool and hot tub were great additions to this property also. We stayed in a suite. Which had a living room sitting area, kitchen table, large refrigerator, sink, microwave, minimal dishes. The bedroom was spacious with its own TV. In the lobby, Isabell was very helpful and provided us with information on where to go during our 7 day stay. The heating and air conditioning was silent so we could here the sounds of rain. Close to shops and restaurants. We would stay here again. read more

Actually, there were many problems with our stay. We did not report any at the time as the girl in the office was very nice but alone and not only were none of the issues her fault, but clearly there was nothing she could have done to correct anything. She did say that there was a phone number on our door for after-hours assistance but there was no number in our door or in the room anywhere. Judging by many poor reviews I have now read by previous guests it seems unlikely that these issues would have been taken care of anyway as most haven't been in prior complaints going back a long time. The first issue was finding thick, caked dirt and dust on the lamps in the room, the outlets and worst of all on the front of the A/C unit. Although we weren't going to be using A/C in January it's still an unacceptable amount of dust to see in a room. Secondly, and the worst of the housekeeping issues was found the next morning of our stay - BLOOD all over the mattress cover and down the side of the dust ruffle right near the head of the bed. BEYOND unacceptable. Pictures of all the above are below. Next issue is after the first 10-15 minutes in the room, the WiFi never worked again the entire stay. Also the TV cut out constantly on every channel showing a "tuning failure" error. Unable to get through any show for more than a few minutes without this constant disruption. Again, pictures below showing this. Still more issues - we chose to pay more for this "suite" specifically for the advertised fireplace. There is no fireplace in that room, there is a decorative light designed to look like fireplace but with no actual flames or heat. Very deceptive. Lastly, according to your website we were charged a resort fee. This is supposed to cover use of the pool, outdoor hot tub, fitness center, lawns, outdoor seating, live entertainment in the on-site pub (there is no pub!) and parking. The very next paragraph starts with the words "parking is included with your stay". HOW is it possible to charge a guest for something that you also say is included? With the exception of the fitness center which we never saw or were told about, we had access to NONE of the other things. read more

Terrible experience. Arrived in the evening to check into my room. Upon reserving I had specified thatI needed an airy, clean, non-mildewed room and that I have a support dog. Hotel had that information prior to my visit. Despite the availability of upper rooms with windows and/or balcony, I was given a moldy, awful, airless room. Rather than accommodate a weary traveler, the staff would not budge. Finally they offered me a healthier room at a heftier cost. I asked for and received a refund. Fortunately, I found a much better suite at Ogunquit Tides and thoroughly enjoyed the visit. I would not recommend Ogunquit Hotel and Suites to anyone. read more

We stayed overnight NYE at the Ogunquit Resort Motel. The price was right, and we had an overall enjoyable stay. The room was super clean and relatively modern and well kept. Check in and out was smooth as pie and the place offered free Wi-Fi which actually worked. They also offered continental breakfast which we did not investigate. I would return here the next time I plan to stay in town. read more

Not enough towels, the tv small and hard to see at night. The lighting in the room horrible. The toilet kept flushing itself all night and the fluorescent light was flickering. Needed a new ballast. Room was quiet though and this place was packed full. Continental breakfast is high fat, high sugar, high carbs with a tiny apple option. No eggs or bacon. All breads. Actual poop was involved. We arrived and our room didn't appear to be clean all the way. The coffee supplies weren't all the way replaced, the toiletries were mismatched or not replaced, the AC was blaring but the window was wide open. But most importantly there was either dog or child feces in the room under the window, under the table. It was reported. My wife and I stayed here as a weekend getaway for ourselves. We originally booked New Years Eve night and was offered an amazing rate! Due to the weather we weren't able to get there. They switched my reservation for only $5 to stay that Saturday. I checked us in with Patrick. He was very polite, professional and funny. I wish I could give negative stars. We had requested a dog room and they told us at check-in that dogs were only allowed in the area outside our room. When we parked and saw the space I was horrified! The dirt area ( no grass at all) was completely covered in dog feces and trash as well as shards of glass. When we entered the hotel room we immediately noticed the carpet was filthy as was the tub. The shower water was warm at best, we were left with 1/2 roll of toilet paper. The room was cold and the knob on the heater was broken and when it did kick on in the middle of the night it sounded as if an airplane was landing in our room. We never had anyone come and clean our room, as a matter of fact we never saw any employees. We were in ME for a family reunion and dog friendly hotels were hard to find that is the only reason we stayed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to my worst enemy! read more

They are one of the more reasonable places in the area. Our room was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and no one disturbed us during our stay. Its not right on the beach but its a good location. You can walk to the beach or take a trolley to perkins cove. The beach was a little further than I expected. About half a mile walk which isn't bad but if you have a cooler or a lot of stuff you may want to take the trolley. Parking in the village is impossible though. They have a few spots on the street and they are all 30 mins. So we didn't even go there. Also the traffic is so bad in that area that once we got in Oqunquit we didn't dare go anywhere south until going back home. read more

I'm not sure where to start: 1. Booked our hotel over 6 months ago but our "deluxe suite" was a dingy room with a view of the back parking lot. 2. Room had no power. Was moved to a room next door to a long term resident who chain smokes in his room all night and the smoke pours into the room next door. 3. Beds so creaky that if one person moved, the whole family would wake up. 4. Twin bed unusable. Rocked when you tried to sit or lay on it. 5. No wi-fi our entire stay. Could not do work that was required for our jobs. 6. Blood stains on sheets. 7. No daily service for fresh towels, garbage change etc. 8. Hot tub was out of order the morning we wanted to use it. 9. No ice machines to be found. 10. The two pros- friendly staff, nice pool. Would not recommend or would ever return. Regret canceling through Expedia to book directly through the hotel at management's request as it only benefited the hotel and not me. read more

It saddens me to have to relate in a review that our stay at the Ogunquit Hotel and Suites did not meet our expectations as promoted heavily online, etc. We requested a king, based on your promotion as a pet-friendly accomodation. Upun arrival at 9PM after a long drive from Boston, we were downgraded to a pair of queen-sized beds, and additionally charged extra for out pet. That charge was certainly not optional, and should be reflected across the board online with sufficient strength. The night clerk's manner in conveying this can best be described as truculent. Having really no alternative at that time of night, we reluctantly paid the additional charges for a frankly inferior room. Morning light revealed a huge stain on the carpet just inside the door (we we did not make it in any way), as well as additional damage further inside the room. Since that range of rooms was barely occupied during our stay, we hardly see why it should have been let out under any circumstances. The room certainly could use better lighting, especially over the small table supplied for dining. This would have allowed us to share the one fork provided in the kitchenette facility more easily. I'd stongly suggest providing better facility for washing up, such as some sort of dish drainer. We did the best we could. Lastly, the graveyard behind the hotel certainly did not add to a festive atmosphere. We won't be back. read more

I don't even want to give this hotel/motel one star! We checked in for the weekend and realized our toilet was constantly running and wouldn't flush. We promptly let them know and we were assured it would be fixed right away. Long story short, it was fixed after 3 requests to the same person a day & 1/2 later. The concierge and manager were very defensive and passed the buck to the maintenance man. Very unprofessional. They even told us we could have just used the toilet in the office building. The room was dingy. We found cereal and beads under both beds, the bathtub anti-slip surface was so old it was gray/black, very dirty. The mini-fridge had fingerprints all over the front. The pictures had been removed from the walls leaving holes and the walls had peeling wallpaper. The bed skirts were stained and unwashed. Upon checkout I requested a credit due to our inconvenience and the manager said he couldn't authorize that. The hotel also reached out to me when I booked it through booking.com and asked me to cancel with booking.com and re-register directly with the hotel. They said we could split the commission savings at about 10%. I ignored this as I saw it as bad business and now realize it should have been a red flag! Maine Health Laws regarding lodging clearly state that the toilet needs to be working and maintained and in or adjacent to the room that is rented. I called to discuss this and was hung up on. I give this place negative 10 stars! read more

We recently stayed a week at this great hotel after being disappointed by another hotel in the area. Katie was so nice to us and we were able to stay in a very nice suite (where we had stayed a few times before). She helped us out every step of the way and was very kind and professional. The breakfast room had changed and gotten even better than we last experienced there. The folks running the breakfast kept everything hot and plentiful. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were very nice and clean and you could tell that the staff was doing an excellent job keeping up with it. Even the price of the room was a pleasant surprise. The housekeeping staff were also on top of their game. Our room was spotless with plenty of amenities. We have to say that this hotel is run by an exceptional staff in every department. There are so many other hotels in the area, don't waste your money at this one! The term "customer service" is an unknown feature at the front desk. They are also horrible at advising you on any of the local areas to visit, best restaurants, beach area, things to do. All 3 front desk personnel need severe training on how to make customers feel appreciated. Either that or they should go work elsewhere in a field where they don't deal with the public. Not sure why this is called a resort, but maybe there are more amenities during the summer season. Otherwise, it's a motel with a pool, hot tub, a fitness room with limited hours, and a front desk with limited hours. I opted for a deluxe king room, which had a large Jacuzzi tub and a fireplace. The motel was further from the beach than I would have liked, but in the summer there's a trolley stop right outside. Couple of minor complaints: we had to leave unexpectedly early the following morning, and there wasn't an obvious way to return our room keys without going through the front desk (no options for self check-out in the room, or a key drop). I knocked on the front door at 7:45 and rang the doorbell. I could see someone preparing the breakfast room for the 8:00 opening, but maybe the bell didn't work, and I had to bang on the door a few times. How about having a key drop for guests who need to leave before 8:00 am? And I would have liked to work out before showering in the morning, but the gym didn't open until 9:00. Good for a basic place to hang your hat for the night, but keep your expectations moderate. read more

The rooms are very affordable for the amazing location of the motel. It is a mile walk to the beach and five minute drive into the town. There is also a grocery store, CVS, and gas station near by. Not sure why this is called a resort, it just seemed like a very nice motel. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly, but the walls were pretty thin. The fridge is in the bathroom and you don't get a microwave in your room. The continental breakfast wasn't great and we did not get wifi in our room. Every room does have a book with a list of recommended things to do and places to eat which was helpful. read more

We asked if we could have a different room when we got there since it wasn't what we expected and was just told "no". Went back to the front desk for some pool towels and noticed a Poland spring water cooler behind the desk. I asked if I could have some and the staff rudely said, "I can't give that out- there's tap water around the corner ". The blanket for the pullout couch was full of holes. What a disappointment! The air conditioner didn't work and when I complained about it, I was reluctantly offered another room at first "after maintenance makes sure it was not working and I was using it properly" The first room also had only one set of towels (a two queen bed room) and a complimentary pair of dirty socks on the towel shelf. Also a socket the would not hold a plug. I needed the plug for my CPAP and so had to switch beds to make it work. So no price adjustment and not so much as an apology coming from management, even after the maintenance people double checked me. (The maintenance person told me it needed fixing or replacement after checking it out ) They lost a five star rating and a repeat customer. read more

My husband and I stayed here for our 28th anniversary. Pro's: room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was spotless. Really nice fixtures Cons: toilet ran all night. Thin walls (could hear the people in the room next to us talking- they were loud either) Biggest con: on Sunday morning at 8:30 am the fire alarm went off. We scrambled to get dressed and out (in the middle of February with 3 feet of snow on the ground) When I asked young man at the reception desk what happened. He said the fire alarm went off. It's unfortunate that I am writing this, but I feel like what happened this weekend needs to be brought to light so in the future it can be handled differently by certain individuals involved. For the past eight years or so, my family has stayed at the Ogunquit Motel and Resort in Ogunquit, Maine, and I have been lucky enough to join them in the recent years. This vacation involves a polar plunge at the beach, a Bud Light Hot tub post plunge party at the hotel, lots of laughs, dinners, and great times by 20+ people each year. The age of our group ranges from 23-85 years old, and family from as far as San Francisco and Virginia travel to this get together. The hotel reserves a whole hallway, which includes a suite, so we can all hang out together. Honestly, it's something we all look forward to each year, until this year. Saturday night, some of the group ended our night at a small bar nearby and hung out in one of the hotel rooms until about 12:30am before we headed off to bed. At 4am, my cousin woke up to find a man standing at the end of her bed, rummaging through her things. She stayed quiet and pretended to be asleep, fearing that if she startled him or screamed the repercussions of what might happen could turn out worse. She waited until she thought he was gone and woke my other cousin up, and called the police. The latch lock was cracked in half on the door, so the room was entered by force. We did more investigation, once we discovered that, and found that almost all of the latch locks on each door of the hotel rooms were cracked in half and almost broken off the doors. Whoever this was, were they trying to open every door? Did they have a master key and card to get into rooms? Fortunately, nothing bad happened to my family. We tried talking to the hotel front desk, and getting ahold of management. The girl at the front desk, helped move the room, but did not seem phased by what had happened. Management was on the phone, but "did not work on Sundays." Management did not offer to talk to my family, ask if they were okay, or even offer condolences. They told the girl at the front desk to let us know they would be in to talk to us tomorrow, if we were still here. We heard the women, who were cleaning, talk about how it was obviously our fault that someone broke into one of the rooms, and how that specific room had something wrong with the lock because a child stuck a casino coin in the card slide. I saw one of the cleaning ladies roll her eyes and whisper behind my cousins back to the girl at the front desk, as we were telling another family member about the break in. That is not hospitality. The next morning came and the situation was not resolved in a professional manner. The manager blamed the cameras that were broken, and said that it was probably one of us that walked into the wrong room, and if it wasn't one of us, we probably left the door wide open for anyone to enter. That is not how to treat people who come to your hotel, in the off season, for the past eight years. That is not how you treat anyone. Im not looking for a free room or monetary reimbursement of any kind. I'm looking for an apology for being blamed for something we wanted no part of. We are looking for management to take responsibility for someone possibly having master keys and cards. We saw no human emotion from hotel management during this time. It's unfortunate, because a simple apology and a promise to fix the doors that were broken could have changed our groups outlook on returning to this hotel next year. I hope management reads this and realizes that their robotic, lack of empathy, and actions lost them business and made a situation that was terrible far worse than it should have been. read more

A nice clean affordable room, was there in winter so didn't get to experience the amenities IE pool ect. but over all seemed very nice and clean. The continental breakfast was great to grab and go on the way out. Only down side was the distance from town, i could not walk it, not in winter and at night anyway, in summer may be ok, but is still a ways. But having to pay $9 for a taxi ride in since no Ubers were available, That seemed excessive. May stay there in the future if i couldn't fine a hotel closer at a comparable price. Ok - I have not been to Ogunquit in years and was looking forward to coming back. This hotel is in Ogunquit but not on beach and it's too far to walk to beach or town. Pool is nice and big and clean with lots of kids - so good for families I guess. The room smells very musty, like there must have been a flood or something. Also they don't have any restaurants at the hotel so you need to leave the property to for dinner, etc. This would not be my first choice when visiting Ogunquit. read more

We had such a bad experience. The pool was nice enough, but the air conditioning in our room didn't work at all, and it was a hot summer night. We put some food in the fridge, all of which we had to throw out the next day because the fridge didn't work either. The "breakfast included" was stale baked goods and bad coffee with a big tip jar out on the counter. All for $300/night. I tried twice to contact the manager (both on site and after we left) and my calls were not returned. Plenty of great places to stay in Ogunquit - no reason to visit this one again. read more

I mentioned it to the front desk staff and they could have cared less. I checked out later that morning and went to another motel for the rest of my stay that week. I am stunned to see only one other review of this resort, but am not surprised to see it is a positive review. I have stayed here a number of times, most recently two weeks ago, and I have never been disappointed with any facet of the property. Had a room (#214) with two queen-sized beds and a bathroom that was HUGE, all modern throughout. HUGE also describes the pool, and the grounds are very clean. Great for any accommodation, be it for couples or families. Super-friendly staff which is always a plus. I can't rate breakfast as I always go out for that. And all for a rate that had my wallet singing praises. Good resort, good location, good all-around value. What more could anyone possibly want! read more

This place is also known as the Ogunquit Resort Motel. It's right on Route 1 between Ogunquit and Wells. Nice big swimming pool for the kids. Our recent stay could not have been more pleasant. Thanks to an "internet off season special", we got a nice large room in the "Superior" section of the hotel and were very pleased with everything. The two-queen bedded room (#107) was quite large by local standards and had room for probably two rollaways or three sleeping bags without any problem! Upon entering we really weren't sure if the room was squeaky clean, or a brand new renovated room that nobody had ever occupied before. Descriptions of the rooms are detailed on the websites, but superior includes in-room safe, mini fridge and coffemaker. The bathroom (one room fully enclosed) was large with a brand new tub/shower combo and good sized vanity. There was shelf space over the microwave for supplies, and an average-sized closet...as well as a chest of drawers, desk space and a small table with two chairs. TV was extended cable/satellite with several HBO channels. Most of the rooms have wifi and there is a computer in the hotel lobby for checking email. The swimming pool is huge, almost Olympic sized, and there is a workout room and an outdoor jacuzzi as well as a small room for continental breakfast (coffee, juice and donuts served 8 to 10am only). Next door is a pizza shop and laundromat ($2wash and $1.25 dry which is about half as much as the other place down the road). There are no real "sidewalks" on route 1 in this area but you can carefully walk down to a few restaurants and pubs including Vinny's, Post Tavern, Angelina's and BeachFire. There are several other places to stay on this stretch of Route 1 but in 5 or 6 stays we have not found a place that offered this nice of a room at this price. Some places have rooms for $10 less per night but the rooms have been, in our experience, quite small and basic with tiny pools or no amenities. In general, resort areas like this that have a "busy season" of just 3 months per year, can't renovate constantly like big-city hotspots. But this particular place seems to be very well attended to. We appreciate that this hotel was no nonsense. They told us of special rates over the telephone and answered our inquiries without rush. At check-in time they did not try to "upsell" us by telling us that all of the discounted rooms were gone or any of that other bait/switch that goes on in so many other tourist-area places. They offered a terrific special package and that's what we got on arrival, and that's the way that we like it. Check in was quick and easy, and when we decided to stay two additional weeknights, the same low rate was given to us without hesitation. I would just mention that it would be best to ask for a room set back a bit from the road as the rooms on the far ends of the wings probably get quite a bit of traffic noise. Our room was about the 4th or 5th in from the road and was very quiet. It's about 25 minutes to outlet shopping in Kittery, 35 minutes on the freeway up to Portland, 55 minutes up to Freeport/ L.L. Bean and maybe 12-15 minutes walk down to Footbridge Beach. read more
