What a nice town to come to and an even nicer hotel. I always saw this hotel as I've been coming to this quaint town and surrounding towns here for many years now. I used to take trolley rides with my family and this was one of the stops. The driver would announce Gorges Grant Hotel and I used to think about coming here one day. Well now I finally did! It's located in Main St, so it's in a good area. The room was very nice, clean,comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very close to my room which I was so happy about since I go to the spa once a day. They give you a free ticket for a champagne the day you come. There's plenty of parking in the lot. The lobby is really comfy and cozy and so nicely decorated with the fireplace. I recommend staying here. I came off season in the spring so prices were reasonable. But I would come in the summer too. No doubt about it. I really enjoyed my time here. read more

This is a beautiful hotel and we were very happy that we selected the Gorges over many other options. The front desk service was efficient and quick to assign our room. The room is beautiful complete with crown molding, comfortable beds and shower pressure that was more than adequate. The breakfast area is also so nice as well as the superb service. I would highly reccomend the Gorges Grant Hotel. The only issue some would have is that there is no elevaor and perhaps it should be noted when one is booking a room. BEWARE: Air conditioning did not work in our room. Was asked if we wanted to call a maintenance person... Um, yes, please?! Unable to fix. Given a loud fan to "bring in air from outside," except the window curtains couldn't be opened without flooding light from the parking lot. In the morning got woken up by a tour bus idling outside our window for an hour at 7am (wouldn't have been an issue except we needed to keep the window open for air). Room Temp = 77degrees. We stayed at two different hotels and honestly expected this one is not be as good as it was. First the location isn't perfect because it's a walk to the beach which wouldn't be so bad if we bought a wagon and my mom didn't just have surgery and I didn't have a five year old. However the path is so nice that you can take . The staff is extremely friendly from the desk to the cleaning staff. The room was very nice for what it was like a beach hotel. It's a gorgeous hotel from inside to the outside. The beds were nice and comfy. The pool was a little cold especially the outdoor one but probably would be refreshing if it was summer. The inside pool is nice. The hot tub is super nice but they need to line the floor with something different. I love the layout of the hotel. read more

For years, I have stayed at the Anchorage down the street. I was forced to find a new place this year, as the Anchorage has a bizarre process by not publicizing their rates and taking a deposit from prospective guests without communicating what they will be paying. I was absolutely blown away by Gorges Grant. The rooms were big and clean with comfortable beds. The lobby was cozy with great coffee available. An on-site pool and hot tub made for a relaxing stay and the breakfast was magnificent. This will be my go-to place moving forward! read more

We have been staying at Grant for close to 25 years every summer. Obviously, we have always loved it there. The last few years, we've felt like the rooms and bathrooms could use some refreshing, but that didn't really phase us. When we checked in a few weeks ago, we were informed that housekeeping would only be coming every 4 days. This really threw us. We stay in a hotel so we can come back to our room at the end of the day to a made bed, clean towels, etc. I was upset about that and I was told they would make an exception and send housekeeping to us every day. One day they did not show up. Moving forward, this has a big impact on where we decide to stay in the future. We have always LOVED Gorges Grant, but this was not good. read more

By way of an update, any Gorges Grant guests should be aware of a "facilities service" charge. It will be represented by zero on the initial bill sent via email. At checkout it will balloon according to your length of stay. It is not reflected in the "total room charge" but is nevertheless added to your bill and you are charged accordingly. The position of this charge is above, but again, not added to the "room charge" which unsuspecting customers might perceive as the total charge. We have been coming here for over 20 years and we are never disappointed! The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious, the whole hotel is so clean and well-maintained and the people are very friendly. Breakfast at Raspberri's is consistently delicious! The hotel is very well located, especially if you want to have dinner at the Ogunquit Lobster Pound which is in short walking distance. We stay at the hotel once a year for our annual trip to Maine and it is like coming home. read more

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times this June(2018). I enjoyed the property each occasion(3 separate stays) and the facility seemed well-maintained. I even enjoyed the simple check in with friendly staff, and a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room. I never ate in the restaurant. I went in and asked for a seat with outlet access(it was morning and I had forgot to charge my iPad) and they had no available table close to an outlet. I travel for work and need my iPad. I ate down the street at the Greenery Cafe and it was amazing!!! (went for breakfast every trip) I'm giving this hotel 3 stars: lack of convenience and ability of staff to use best judgement. My husband and I just returned from a one night stay at Gorges Grant Hotel, and it was perfect. We visit Ogunquit 2-3 times per year, during both in-season and off-season, and have stayed at more of the hotels/motels that we can count, typically just searching for the best deals and location! I booked the Gorges Grant online at a great rate just days before this trip. When we arrived in the lobby, we immediately noticed the couches set up around the cozy fireplace, and tables with games such as backgammon, checkers and chess - perfect for a chilly winter night. The check in staff were very friendly and asked if I happened to have an AAA card (which I did). This lowered my already reasonable room rate by a few dollars. Our King room was in the main building, just upstairs from the fireplace. It was HUGE. Besides the king bed, there were two large cushioned chairs, a desk & desk chair, and dresser holding the TV - on one side of the room. There was a mini hall furnished with a sink, Keurig and mini-fridge, which led into the other area of the room featuring a closet, the bathroom, and a separate vanity / sink. After settling in and exploring in town, we decided to order some food to go and take it back to the hotel. We ate right in the lobby while playing backgammon at one of the game tables - and it was very quiet and peaceful. After that, we decided to check out the pool and hot tub, a nice advantage over some other places that only have outdoor pools. When we woke up this morning, we decided to try breakfast downstairs at Rasberri's restaurant, and that was great as well. There were brochures for local activities, magazines and newspapers for guests in the lobby. Near the door, there was coffee, hot water and hot cocoa available for guests in the lobby as well. Unlike many of the accommodations in Ogunquit, this is hotel style rather than motel style, which I especially prefer in winter, and although we stayed off season, I noticed a trolley stop right out front which is perfect for guests in the summer months. I'd definitely recommend the Gorges Grant, and will certainly return in the future. read more

Overall a nice place. it is well kept. staff is friendly. has both an indoor and outdoor pool. plenty of parking and entrances making it easy to get in and out. Not that it mattered for me but there is no elevator to get to the second floor. you are about a 10 minute walk to the downtown and beach area. there is usually a trolley but I assume its not running due to COVID. My main issue and why I will not stay here again is the noise. the doors slam and are thin. You can here people talking in the hallway clearly. I have been here two nights and have not slept well at all. The doors stop slamming around 1am and start again around 6:30-7. you are up around 7 whether you like it or not unless you are a very heavy sleeper. It sounds like a prison - doors opening and closing all day long. all hotels have doors opening and closing I know but I have never heard anything like this. read more

Excellent place! We enjoyed everything about this hotel . First is the location; it's only a few minute walk to down town. Second was the cleanliness and general appearance of the property .. top rate ! The grounds are manicured! The rooms are large, clean and furnished to be practical (in room refrigerator, desk , two sitting chairs , two sinks in the bathroom )and nice to have items like an iron , hair dryer and large closet. Oh and bonus for free wi fi that was easy to log into and use (no passwords to remember ). We had breakfast two of the four days we where here (extra charge, not included in the room rate), and both times the service was prompt and professional, the food delish and the price reasonable . We never had a chance to get to the outdoor pool, but it looked inviting . You can't miss with this place . Highly recommend . read more

Very nice place. Clean, modern, and comfy! Stayed in a suite facing the street yet quiet as can be, spacious and free - well, not really "free" but plenty of space giving a 'free-flow' feel! A wet bar to the side we put to good use I cannot hide. The pool is small but pretty much fun for all. The jacuzzi nice and the staff very friendly and promptly accommodating to any request received. Great oversized and exceptionally clean room. Loved the split bathroom area! Indoor pool area was disappointing due to lack of decor and the floor of the hot tub needs refinishing. With that being said, the space was very clean. We received wonderful customer service. This hotel also has complete housekeeping services while other hotels still use Covid as an excuse to not provide housekeeping. We love the location far enough from the center however close that we could either get in the car for a very short drive OR walk to the center-its a little bit of a walk however on a nice sunny day its perfect. The ladies at the desk are amazing and so friendly and helpful, Anything we wanted they took care of. From reservation to check-out the staff at Gorges Grant Hotel was amazing! The rooms are beautifully done - thoughtful decor and finishes. Having a Keurig coffee maker is always the best! We did not have enough time to visit their onsite restaurant but it smelled heavenly. We were there for a couple of days and they refreshed our room each day - something that doesn't happen enough in our world today. My wife and I had booked a hotel down in Boston for the weekend. Last minute we decided to cancel the reservation and drive the extra hour up to Maine. We have stayed at the Gorges Grant Hotel before and after this weekend I now know why we keep coming back. We had booked using their online booking system and upon arrival we were asked if we were AAA members. We were given a better price for being AAA members. Our experience was wonderful! The room was great and the staff were very kind and went above and beyond our expectations. The hotel is close walking distance to the center of town and also a trolley stop is right in front of the hotel. The hotel has a nice fireplace where guests can relax and read a book. Also, across from the fireplace, board games are available to enjoy. Don't forget to bring your swimsuits as there is a hot tub and swimming pool. From start to finish, our stay at the Gorges Grant Hotel was amazing! read more

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. We arrived around 9 pm and were greeted and welcomed warmly. The clerk explained the different rooms available and we opted for a first floor room in an adjoining building. Before we headed to our room she suggested we help ourselves to tea, coffee, or hot chocolate! Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The king bed was cozy, great pillows, soft sheets. We had a coffee pot, cups, creamers, and sweetners. Nice TV, small fridge, dresser, table, and two comfy chairs. The bathroom was spacious, spotless, and had all the things we needed - nice shampoo, conditioner, fancy soap, lotion, etc. I'm sure the price varies by the season, but we thought the $129 a night we paid was a very good value! Oh, and the grounds are so pretty! Their landscape people do a fabulous job. There is a restaurant on the premises which we didn't manage to eat in, but several local people gave it rave reviews. We will try it out on our next visit to Ogunquit! read more

This place was absolutely fabulous. We requested to stay in the main building with our baby to make Things easier and they were so accommodating with making that happen. On arrival they had the crib set up and ready to do. The location was wonderful- a little walk from the heart of downtown but enjoyable with restaurants and shops all Along the way. First- was hoping to get a little bit better price for it being the week after Columbus Day but- Second- and this is picky- good to have windows to look out but not so much when the view is of the POOL and people in it... Really liked the layout of the room- large dressing/bathroom area- this is most helpful when traveling with someone who is not your spouse- Really good LAYOUT - this alone I would consider staying here again- the sink area is separate from the shower/toilet- The towels and linens were plentiful- the room was very spacious. And our room had a small bar area- refrigerator-maybe a microwave- There is also a restaurant on site- but I did not eat in it- There are a few stairs but all interior hallways- I would stay here again ! read more

I spent one night here with my daughter during her April school vacation. Our room was very clean, spacious, and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Very convenient location. This hotel is a joke. I hit the one star only because there isn't a negative star review I booked a room for a night for our anniversary. We had a family emergency come up and I had to cancel. Well it was 24 hrs prior not 48 hrs so they said they were charging me for one nights stay plus tax. I again explained it was a family emergency that caused the cancellation they wouldn't work with me. We don't get away often I own a busy construction company so when we do its special this experience trying to deal with them was very upsetting needless to say I will never book a stay with them again or recommend this place to anyone. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights with my daughter. The rooms were beautifully decorated and it was very clean. The front desk staff was very nice. Our room had 2 vanities...one in the bathroom with the tub and toilet, and another outside the bathroom where a coffee pot was. This was perfect as we could both get ready at the same time. It's in a good location right on Hwy 1, just north of the downtown shopping area. The only negative is there is no elevator. They did however offer to assist with our bags if needed. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I make it back to Ogunquit (which I hope I do....I fell in love with this little town)! read more
